Saharah stood up after finishing a rabbit and feeding her pups some of the chewed meat. As she glanced at the sky she saw it was turning to pink; dawn already, she thought as she shook her fur. She sent her young pups over to play with her Beta, Shenzi’s pups and then looked around for a area higher than the ground to address the pack. The young alpha spotted a mossy log and trotted over, then, standing on it she howled for attention. Saharah waited for a moment for the wolves to gather before she spoke.
"I have some news from the Scouts, Rasho and Shade and also my beta Frazko." she began as she looked around at the upturned faces with pricked ears. "You remember Rasho found strange upright things like very hard spider webs, large and long, trapping elk in Mistypack Territory?" she said, more reminding than asking. There were murmurs and nods from the pack as they looked semi-concerned. "Well Rasho and Shade found more of them." she continued slowly. "Containing wolves!" the pack murmurs turned to snarls and barks of hatred and annoyance. Saharah raised a paw for silence and continued. "I discussed this with the beta’s and my mate and we have decided to see if we can help them escape the uprights." she waited for the pack to comment but most of them stayed silent, concidering and thinking it through.
"What can we do? I thought Rasho said it was impossible for wolf jaws to tear through it. How else can we help them escape?" questioned Blaze as he looked at the alpha quizzically. Saharah shook her head.
"We will see what we can do," she stated. "Also Hikari and Kurow were hunting- Hikari tried to kill a large buck but it threw her into a tree and she was hurt. Reamo and Flare are with her with herbs to help her, but she is unable to travel right now-" she said as she began to wrap things up. Murmurs and winces rippled through the pack as they sympathized with the gorgeous young wolf.
"And unless anybody has a question, I need to go see Hikari- she needs rest though, please do not go to her." she dipped her head to the pack and turned to Felicia and said, "I also need you to get a hunting patrol." as she leapt off the log. The pack broke up, muttering and talking with each other about the journey and the trapped wolves.

Story So Far (SSF):
When complications hit Mistypack, Saharah (the alpha) decided to take instant action against the invading uprights, shortage of food and overall bad territory. They then put some distance between that territory (around 200 miles worth) even with the new pups of the alphas and betas. Long story short, an enemy wolf was recruited, then turned against them and became alpha by force. Terror and bad times followed his reign and a battle is currently raging.
Kuni and Kari's story can be followed at the Fresh Kill link below the chat box on the right sidebar.
An uprising started by Sako surged through the pack and they revolted against the guards. The battle is raging and wolves from both sides are falling. Who will triumph? Add your attacks to the battle by commenting in the newest post!

Yeti came out of the thicker woods by himself, toting behind him a large buck. He was out of breath and sore, but pulled the buck to the center of the clearing.
Saharah gave an impressed look at her mate.
"Nice catch, Yeti!" she barked with enthusiasm. She glanced around, seeing wolves closing in to eat and smiled, glad everything was going smoothly.
(I'll make it easier for you, Alado. :] )
Mirage, one of the loners that had joined for the fight with Talhopack, spotted Hakara and came up next to the pretty wolf, admiring her smooth stride and soft fur.
"Hey," she greeted the wolf. "Hakara, right?" she asked as she flashed a grin.
"Thanks." Yeti barked though breaths. "Ran half way back to our old territory, it seems. " he was exhausted and his paws were bloody, with a cut around his eye, but was trying to sound okay.
Saharah frowned with worry for her mate.
"Yeti...it's more than that. I can tell-" she murmured.
"Yeah." Yeti barked, smiling. "I also managed to fall into a pit dug by uprights. Fell down into some sharp stuff, but lucky for me the spiderweb didn't close over the top. Some sharp spider web though. I climbed out the side." It was obvious that he was trying his hardest to make it not sound as bad as it was, but he looked pretty wiped out and cut up.
Hakara nodded. "Yes, I'm Hakara. I'm sorry, you're Mirage, right?" She asked.
Mirage nodded and smiled.
"You're very pretty," she murmured as she admired the young wolf's pretty and smooth fur.
Saharah sighed.
"We can't leave yet. Hikari is hurt...Oh, Yeti! What do we do? Uprights are EVERYWHERE!" she wailed.
Yeti nuzzled his mate comfortingly, knowing he couldn't do anything to make it okay. He winced as the cut around his eye touched her cheek, but tried not to make a big deal about it.
Saharah turned abrubtly to hide her tears. Clearing her throat she called out,
"Flare- I need you to get some herbs for small cuts," as she saw Flare exit the forest into the clearing. The young wolf nodded and bounded off again back into the forest.
"T-thank you, Mirage," Hakara barked shyly. She'd never been complimented before.
Yeti watched Flare leave, then licked his mate's cheek. "It will all turn out okay." he barked softly, knowing he was most likely wrong.
Saharah turned, blinking. Her face was frozen into a look of anger and dissapointment.
"They will win in the end.." she said strangly.
Yeti was a bit confused, used to his mate optimistic outlook. "They cant. Mistypack is strong, and I will give my life to protect it."
Saharah turned her blank staring eyes on him as tears slowly slid down her cheecks. Defeat showed all over her.
"No, Yeti...you don't understand...there are too many of them!" she whispered.
(Don't ask me. I guess it came from my present outlook of; "We can't win...there are too many dog abusers......we can't stop them............" miserable, stupid, idiotic bag of scum!!! *you know who*)
(yes, I do. That guy.....I could kill him for what he did)
Yeti pressed his head against hers, ignoring the sting when his cuts touched her fur. He shut his eyes, breathing in her scent. "Saharah, we can never win if you think like that." he murmured.
(Same. I know I keep saying this, but I rlly wanna shatter HIS hip bone! *snarls* I can't stand talking about it! I need to go claw at something. Rip at it with full force. I hope he goes to jail!)
Saharah gave a small whimper and leaned against him like a little pup.
"...how can we win at all..." she whispered. Her eyes were full of sorrow. After a moment she stoof up and shook out her fur.
"We can at least do our best," she said firmly, suddenly going back to her normal self. She gave Yeti a small smile.
"Have you seen Hikari?"
"Not yet." Yeti barked. "Kurow is staying with her, right?" he asked.
Dreamer sat by Rasho."Those poor wolves," She commented, then turned to Rasho with eyes full of curiosity."What do the traps look like?"
Reamo padded into the main clearing after finishing on Hikari, there being nothing more he could do at the moment. He nuzzled Kira, brushing up against her lovingly. "How are you feeling?" he asked quietly.
Rasho gave a disgusted look in the direction of the uprights dens.
"They arn't traps exactly," he began as he tried to explain. "They are like...you know how spider webs have these things?" he said as he drew small boxes in the sand as large as the real things that the uprights had.
"Many of those, sort of stuck together like huge spiderwebs- but not sticky...hard..and cold." he said, frowning as he tried to remember details. He had been to shocked to explore it then, and couldn't see it very well in the dark when he and Shade spotted it.
Kira took a deep breath and glanced around to see if nobody was watching.
"Fine...but..Reamo...." she hesitated and then turned away, shaking her head. "nevermind. It's nothing." she said grinning. "I feel fine, honestly." she said as she licked him.
Leezor listened to Rasho. "Sounds like what Shenzi and Frazko were trapped in."
Rashi nuzzled her back. "Kira, please tell me. You know that if you dont, all im going to do is worry, right?"
Rasho gave an awkward nod and stood up, going towards the deeper forest as he muttered something about prey. His ears were flat against his head and his fur seemed to burn with embarassment at being seen with Dreamer.
Kira smiled at him, her head half tilted to one side, her eyes wide and happy.
"There's nothing to tell, Reamo!" she laughed as she inwardly cringed at lying to her mate. "I said I'm fine, didn't I?" she grinned at the black wolf as she flicked her tail teasingly across his face.
"Kira, I know that you're lying. Really, whats wrong?" he sat down, his face serious.
Dreamer watched Rasho leave, thinking about what he had described. Should I follow him? She debated with herself.
(Should she?)
Time passed by slowly. She fell in and out of sleep. But she was glad she wasn't alone, Kurow was with her...Kurow. Hikari felt him move next to her. He had been by her side since everything happened, and she wondered about him. She was able to ignore the pain when she thought of him. What was this feeling? It was warm, and took away the encumbering thoughts that fogged her mind. Somehow his presence soothed her. Did he really care this much about her?
(blaahhhgg, i love and hate how much i can feel everything my wolf feels.I was actually able to get a migrane after thinking about how much pain Hikari was in XP)
(Sure! it could be good for the plot.)
(lolz, Sky! I do the same. It's like, I can't go do so and so...my leg is broken. Oh wait.....)
Kira gave another laugh, weaker than before and halfhearted.
"Oh, Reamo...you know me to well," she murmured. She gazed into his eyes. "I'm going to have your pups. Probably tomorrow." she whispered, her eyes wide with fear.
Rasho felt a strange pressure in his chest, dying to get out. He knew this feeling. He couldn't give into it. He couldn't! He broke into a run. Anythin gto get away from the pack. He ran faster and harder, finally he broke out of the forest onto a cliff and he slowed. His sides heaved as he panted and the pressure grew till he couldn't stand it any longer. His Black Side..! Suddenly he changed. He felt himself changing, yet he felt nothing. Thoughts whirled in his head, each readable, yet none clear enough to read. (Is your head spinning yet?) He felt like killing- like tearing any life out of the world, yet also to save, to save any life anywhere. Then suddenly- his vision seemed to be narrowed and he threw his head to the sky, howling long and loud, letting his feelings be known. His heart was pounding, his howl drowned out any other noises as it rang loud across the mountains. He took another quick breath and bellowed out a howl, louder than before as he felt the need to kill- to taste the salty hot blood across his muzzle, to feel the rip of flesh and crunch of bone as his prey screamed in excrushiating pain and agony........
(Oh....my.....Cheese. Someone needs a therapist! :P)
Dreamer finally made her decision, and ran after him. She skidded to a stop at the edge of the trees, watching him howl."Are you okay?" She asked softly, stepping forward.
(lol! I know, right? Poor Rasho! Ha ha! Whenever I feel creative I'll make a backstory on his Black Side. :P)
Rasho turned, teeth bared and ready to attack whatever he saw. No realization that it was his pack-mate flickered in his eyes. Just before he lunged, a deeper stronger urge told him to think, relax...clear his mind.....he slowed and stood, legs spread in front of him as he panted heavily.
"D...dreamer.." he muttered stupidly as the want for blood ebbed away.
(She has already told him she was expecting, right? I think she did, Ill reply something that could be taken either way)
"Kira...' Reamo beathed, nuzzling her. "Amazing. Just amazing." His voice was barely a whisper, and his eyes were wide with excitment and awe.
Kurow sat next to Hikari, refusing to leave her side for even a moment. His cheeks burned as he thought of what the pack must think, but at the moment, he didnt really care. To him, Hikari was everything, and he wouldnt leave her until she was up and moving.
(Yeah, ik. I thought it may sound like she never told him, but she's saying she's having them. TOMORROW! EEK! Excitment! perfect responce. Time for ACTION!)
Kira ducked away from him.
"What do you mean 'amazing'??" she barked in shock. "They could die this early if I have them tomorrow!" she said as a sob cought in her throat.
Reamo clenched his teeth. "I wont let them die." he barked with determination. "Our pups will be healthy and beautiful, just like their mother." he pressed against his mate protectivly, licking her cheeck, and trying to sound much more determined then he felt. He knew that there were true dangers if they were born this early, but was trying his best to sound strong, for Kira's sake.
Kira gave a weak smile put determindly pushed away from him.
Dreamer raised a paw to back away when he lunged, her eyes wide with shock. When he skidded to a halt, she slightly lowered it."Are you okay? What's going on?"
Rasho shook his head, his eyes staring at the ground. After a moment of silence he looked back at Dreamer.
"Dreamer," he said in a choked voice. "we can't be together!"
Dreamer, planted her feet down."But, why? I like you a lot Rasho, why can't we?" She asked, trying not to let any hurt in her voice. She really wanted to know what was going on, and was wondering why he wouldn't tell her.
Reamo put his head down, hurt.
Kira suddenly stopped a gave a yelp of pain and fear.
"Reamo!" she yelped in a strained whisper. "The pups are here!!" (Heeeeyyy..What if Kira got sick, which put her into labor and they find that out later, and an important wolf gets sick? Then there would be a reason why they get sick. Sort of.)
Rasho groped in his head for words. Tension built inside of him as mere seconds passed by, seeming like an enternity. Suddenly something seemed to burst. Suddenly he finally gave a yell.
"Because I killed Kazrah!"
(That could be good)
Reamo flinched in surprise, easing Kira into a small nest of moss. He quickly grabbed something from a space between two tree roots- a bundle of herbs he had been saving. He quickly went to work, is mind buzzing. He looked around for help, calling over the nearest wolves. "Yeti! Saharah!"
(Actually, maybe more then one important wolf get sick, like Yeti and Saharah come to help warm the pups and all once their born. and maybe they both get it from that. I sort of want to torture either Yeti or Reamo. Actually, I really wanna torture Reamo right now for some odd reason. Thats what happens when your in the car ALL day.)
(rotfl! XD Just like you, Shenzi! jk, jk. Lolz. Well, Kira will have it....how about Kira, Reamo and Saharah and then word is passed to stay away from them and it doesn't spread?)
(ack! Suspence! Reply, Chileeee!!)
Kira doubled over in pain and retched finally vomiting on the moss as she staggered on wobbly legs. She tried to speak to Reamo but was unable to through the pain and liquid in her mouth as syliva and vomit streamed from her mouth. (That's what happens when you are used to seeing bloody dog wounds and it's second nature..)
(Yeah, that could work....except you do relize that Yeti could never stay away from his mate even if he would die if he got too close, right?)
(XD, and Im reading this right after having breakfast. Thanks, Zoraz!) Reamo was frozen for a moment, unsure of what to do. After a moments hesitation, he pulled Kira away from the vomit. Yeti sprinted over, hearing the comotion. Reamo saw him coming. "Dont come any closer!" he told Yeti. "You have open wound, come any closer and you'll be infected as well!" Reamo nuzzled his mates forehead comfortingly, trying to calm her down.
(true. lol good plot!)
(Ha ha ha!!)
Kira finally gasped out.
"Nobody drink-" as she vomited again. "River-" she gasped as she coughed several times. "bad water-"
"Calm down." Reamo barked quietly, in a soothing voice. "If you calm down, you'll stop being sick, and the pups will come faster." he nuzzled her lovingly and soothingly, hoping that Kira could sense his fear, or the shiver in his voice. He longed to run, run far from the responsibility of healing his mate, of maybe saving her life. It too all his will not to freak out.
Kira shook her head, inhaling deeply.
"Order everybody not to drink from the river on the west-" she coughed several times. "-side! It's poisoned." she coughed again and retched. Spitting, she continued. "That's why I'm sick. And the stress sent me into labor," she whimpered in fear as she realized the pups could be lost. "Reamo!" she gave a strained and paniced yelp as she fell to the ground and everything went black.
"Kira!" Reamo yelped in surprise. Tygris came foreward to try to help, but Reamo growled at her to back off. He felt Kira's side, checking how far along she was. Soon he told himself. Any minute now. Soon.
Kira woke up, gasping with pain. She groaned and whimpered as the pain worsened and finally, with one more heave, suddenly there was a pup laying on the ground beside her. A male. Not moving.
Tears swelled from Reamo's eyes when he saw the pup. He and Kira's firstborn son. Their pup. He wasnt positive, but he was pretty sure the pup was dead. He moved it to Kira's belly, hoping to see it move and suckle. He nuzzled Kira, wishing he could stop her pain.
Kira couldn't stop the tears flowing from her eyes as she lay, gasping with pain as her first-born pup lay beside her.
"Reamo.." she whispered as she cried. "He's dead isn't he..."
(oh, wow. What if...she.....*it starts with a D...)
(You decide the pups fate. Oh, plz! Oh, plz!! This also starts with a D..!)
(If you kill her, I have a good plan for Reamo, inspired by my end of the world book where millions of people die. That book is making me crazy. Read it for like 5 hours today)
Reamo nodded slightly, words catching in his throat. Tears slid down his cheek as he sat down next to his mate, touching his nose to hers. He coughed slightly as he pulled away. "Can you feel another coming?" he asked, his voice filled with help back sobs.
(Aww....WHY ARE YOU READING THAT BOOK?????)
(I want to have her live...but the sadness of her dying would be epic...)
Kira shook her head. Whether in anguish or to answer Reamo's question, it was impossible to tell. She opened her mouth slightly in a silent wail of sadness and then gave a shudder and lay still.
(omigosh I ruined her life...don't freak yet..)
(DONT FREAK YET???? HOW CAN YOU TELL ME NOT TO FREAK YET! I HATE WHEN YOU LEAVE IT LIKE THAT, WHERE YOU CANT TELL WHETHER OR NOT THEIR DEAD OR ALIVE!!(And you did it twice in the last 5 comments! Poor Reamo!)
Reamo's vision blurred with tears. To him, it looked so much like she was dead, but for all he knew, she had just fallen asleep. He told himself to stay calm, but new it was impossible.
(rotfl! Chill, dude!)
Kira's eyes flickered open and she coughed again. (because I just caughed in rl..)
"I saw Starpack..." she murmured.
"What did...they do?" Reamo asked carefully, nuzzling his mate, relived.
Kira breathe more strongly and strained again.
"They told me.." she whispered as she strained with all her energy. "not to give up..." she finished. After a few more minutes, three more pups lay beside her. Alive.
"Kira...."Reamo barked quietly, in awe. "Their beautiful. Three healthy pups."
Kira nodded slightly and as the pups began to suckle, blackness settled over her again.
Reamo tensed with alarm, nuzzling his mate gently but forcefully to try to get her up.
Dreamer blinked slowly, trying to process the words."You what?" She asked gently.
(Kazrah was the old leader, right? I'm having a brain fart. :P)
(Yup! Omigosh, I've been waiting for this plot for so long!)
Rasho glared at her.
"I killed Kazrah. You hate me now, don't you." he snarled. "Go ahead. Say it!" he averted his eyes to something on his right and breathed heavily.
The first pup suddenly gave a spluttering gasp and then began to cry for it's mother. Kira regained conciousness (whoa, did I spell that right?) and looked beside her.
"R-.." she gasped as she saw they were all alive and looked at her mate.
"Reamo!" she cried. Her face of happiness instantly transformed back to pain and she narrowly missed vomiting on her pups as she groaned and coughed.
"Reamo- stay away! You'll get sick," she warned her mate with a moan as she lay sprawled in a awkward position.
Dreamer's eye's widened at what he said, and his harsh tone."But, how could you have killed her? I'm sure it was an accident, I don't hate you..."
(What if he hurt her? :P)
(Woot! Nice plot!)
Rasho gave a snarl.
"It's my black side. Don't you get it?? It controls me! When my Black Side takes over I kill anything around me! I might kill you!.......I could never live with myself if I did that to you, Dreamer...." he whispered as he looked away from her eyes again.
Dreamer stepped forward."But I can help you. It isn't your fault." She said softly, inching towards him.
(Thanks! :P)
Reamo padded foreward anyways, laying down next to Kira. "Than so be it." he barked, nuzzling her.
Rasho hung his head.
"Dreamer...you can't help..anytime I feel a strong emotion of anger, hatred or revenge, it takes over........look what I did to Kazrah.." he whispered again.
Kira gave Reamo a look of anguish before her face twisted in agony. She began to yelp and screech with pain as the fever clung to her body.
Dreamer stepped forward the rest of the way, pressing her head to his side."It isn't you. I'm sure there's a different reason. It can be helped." She assured him.
Rasho gave an exasperated sigh.
"Dreamer- no it can't! I was born and bred with it...all of my-" he broke of with a look of disgust. "other wolves have it too. It's lifelong." he muttered.
Dreamer looked at him with her yellow eyes.(Can't remember if their yellow or green?)"But you can learn to harness it. You still have that kind, caring, gentle side that I've always known." She smiled at him.
Rasho snorted with disbelief but seemed calmer.
(lolz)
"Whatever..." he mumbled.
Dreamer stepped in next to him, sweeping her tail."Come on, let's go back." She said, looking at him hopefully.
Rasho hesitated and then, tail low to the ground, followed her back.
Dreamer smiled, guiding him back."Are you hungry?" She asked kindly, lowering her head to look into his eyes.
Reamo jumped to his feet, pinning Kira to keep her from thrashing and hurting herself. His injured leg burned from standing too long, but he refuesed to move. A tear dripped down his cheek as Reamo contemplated any way to help his mate.
"I know how to hunt!" Rasho snarled at Dreamer. Then, realizing she was just trying to be helpful, added- "Yeah, sure.........let's hunt.."
Kira retched again and then pawed at her mouth to rid herself of the vile taste of the sickness. She gave a shudder and whimpered as her fur grew uncomfortably hot from the fever.
"Reamo..." she murmured. "Tell the pack,"
Dreamer shied away slightly when he snarled, but quickly came back."Okay, let's go over here." She pointed her nose to some dense pine trees.
(IDEA! Can she get caught in a trap, and Rasho leaves to get help and she gets taken? And he is like more upset then ever because she isn't there to calm him, but she breaks out eventually? Just a thought, :P)
Reamo nodded slightly, spotting white fur through he bushed. He called Yeti over, explaining quickly. Yeti nodded, and went to go find Saharah, Frazko, and Shenzi. Reamo turned back to Kira, sitting down next to her.
(Possibly!)
Saharah nodded as Yeti explained and told him to alert the others to stay away. She hadn't known she had had her pups and she quicklky came over.
Kira whimpered.
(dude...isn't her mate a healer.....?? XD Epic fail)
(wow so much drama going on. I wonder what will happen. Ill tell ya' what, IM GOING TO MOVE! well maybe. =p)
Hikari trembled with the feeling restlessness. Some of the pain had recided and she needed to move. She opened her eyes and released a long sigh.
"Kurow," Hikari whined softly,"please help me get up."
Dreamer walked towards the edge of the pines, waiting for Rasho to follow her.
(to Zoraz- ?)
Yeti looked around for another moment. "Saharah, do you know where Shenzi is?" he asked.
(PLOT_TWIST_THINGY ALERT....though im nto exactly sure what it is, my fingers tend to be doing all the thinking...:P)
"Are you feeeling any better?" Reamo asked Kira softly.
Kurow stood up to help Hikari up. "Are you sure?" he asked, his eyes filled with concern.
(@Shenzi- Dude...her mate's a healer..he should be getting herbs for her sickness. :P XD)
Rasho sulily followed her, sniffing the air for a scent of prey.
Saharah froze. She had told the pack about Kira's sickness and was standing next to the yound wolf.
"No, I though she was with her pups-" she said as she whipped around, scanning the area. "She's probably hunting," she said, trying to sound careless.
Kira moaned and quivered in pain as the pups suckled
Yeti scowled. "You know Shenzi. She would have told somebody before hunting. Plus, she never hunts alone ever since she lost an eyes." his face was deadly serious. "Its just one thing after another." he muttered under his breath.
(I thought of that already. I KNOW he's a healer. And I know he wont leave her for an instant, for fear that she would die while he was gone. See, I have this all thought out!)
Reamo despratly wanted to help with the pain, but couldnt think of anything to do thats wouldnt require leaving her.
Saharah finally snapped. Kira was sick, the pack was moving, uprights were everywhere, her best friend was missing and then he mate was upset.
"Well it's not easy to keep an eye on everything!" she snarled at Yeti. "How about YOU try doing something for a change instead of telling me what I'm not doing!!" she spat as she whipped around and ran into the forest, trying to sniff out her friend.
(Maybe she is with the wolves that are trapped?)
(lolz. I was joking, I know you knew that- really. Poor Reamo!)
Frazko gave a startled glance around the camp as he noticed Shenzi was missing also. He faught the cold dread that was filling him and looked around for her pups.
Kira gave a splutter-
"Reamo- get herbs..." she coughed as she choked again.
(Thats where I think she is.)
Yeti turned, growling quietly but countaining his anger. He went to where he last saw Shenzi, finding her pups curled up behind a tree, asleep. He barked for Saharah and Frazko to come over, scenting.
Saharah gave a low growl and ignored him, seeing the pups already, and continued to search.
Yeti sighed slightly, putting his nose to the ground. He scented, following the trail out of camp until he could sense the trail growing fresh. He paused lookng around. Almost immeadiatly, he spotted a trap, a spiderweb that streached across the ground, and strands reaching into the tree. quickly, he grabbed a long tree branch and tripped the trap with it, sending the next a few feet off the ground. He sniffed teh ground below the trap, and he trap itself. Both were covered in Shenzi's scent. He put his head back, howling for Frazko to come.
Frazko came galloping over and Saharah did too.
"What did you find-" Barked Frazko, breaking off as he saw the traps. Saharah made no expressions as she sniffed the traps.
"Uprights," she said with disgust.
Yeti nodded. The scent of Shenzi's fear was mixed in with the scent of uprights. He turned away. "She's been caught. I'll lead a potrol to break her and the other wolves out."
Saharah gave a snort.
"Have you ever done so before?" she stepped in front of him, cutting him off from the camp.
"I'll do it," she growled as she stomped off.
Frazko raised his eyebrows at the two wolves but said nothing.
Yeti turned away, his face stotic. He trotted into the forest, away from camp and Saharah. As soon as he thought he was far enough away, he broke into a run. His legs burned and his sides ached, but he countinued to run until he collapsed from exhastion. He lay on the ground panted, having reopened the cut on his paws. Tears trickled down his face, wetting the dirt that was already wet with his blood. After a few moents that seems like hours he got up, sheltering in the roots of a tree. He spotted a rabbit but didnt have the heart to go get it. A slight drizzle began, slowly but surely turning into a downpour. In the back of his mind, Yeti wondered if he would find his way back to his pack.
Saharah let the tears run down her face.
Maybe he and Kazrah should have been together......did I force him to be my mate....? No!.....but what if I did....what if he felt pressured to be my mate.......... thoughts of horror filled her mind and she sat down. A drizzle began but she took no notice. She sobbed as she sat in the forest, away from the camp and having not brought the message back. As the drizzle progressed she became soaked and started to shiver but ignored it. Her thoughts began to roam to her pups. To Shenzi. To the pack...to Yeti... She coughed a few times and started back in the direction she figured was the camp before realizing that she had just coughed. She had been in contact with Kira.
"Oh great, now I'm sick." she muttered as she blinked through the rain and tears across her face.
"Oh, Yeti.." she breathed. She cried again for a moment as she stood in the darkness. Alone with the rain pouring on her.
(And then they are both lost and they find each other and then...)
(k!)
Yeti got up after a little bit, looking around before choosing the direction he thought was correct. He broke into a slow run, but almost immeadiatly started sprinting. Infront of him loomed a fallen log. Annoyed by its presance, he leaped up and pushed off the top, launching into the air in a powerfull leap. For a moment he felt like he was flying, but landed on a rocky slope and slid down, tumbling as he went. He landed on his back at the bottom, letting out a yelp of suprise and pain. He looked around, not bothing to get up, and saw Saharah on the other side of the clearing.
(Yup, Im tired and bored, and came up with that. Thats what happens when im tired. I wanted Yeti to meet her, but I knew that if Yeti saw her from afar, he would turn some other way and avoid her. SO I had to make in accidental.
(awesome. Perfect.)
Saharah shook the rain out of her eyes and took a step back in surpise as Yeti leaped over the log. She marvled as his powerful muscles caused him to sail clear over it with at least another wolf length of room to spare. ( :P )
"Yeti, ..." murmured Saharah as she started to apologize.
(Im imagining how that would be in a movie. All slowed down and such...It would be so cool)
Yeti climbed to his paws, not evne bothering to be embarassed. "You shoulf have gotten Rasho." he barked, his voice and face stotic. "That way after Kazrah died, I would have left the pack in peace." He began walked slowly into the trees. "Mistypack could have had one less ex-murderer in their midst." he call back, his voice revealing no emotion. Tears slipped down his face, but he hoped Saharah wouldnt see them.
(Ikr. Same here! I pictured the same thing)
"Yeti!" she called, her voice strong but with a hint sadness and misery.
"You were never a murderur..." she murmured as tears slipped down her face while she stared at his turned back. "I had your pups! I was so scared that you'd know- I never told you. I thought you'd leave me!" she cried (the devestated sobbing thingy ppl always do..) "I....I thought you always wanted Kazrah. I never wanted you to think you were forced to be my mate! I never wanted any of it...When I had your pups..I hoped. I prayed that it would bring us closer. And instead..." she sobbed harder and threw herself on the ground.
"You're gonna leave me-" she wailed (again, same sobby thingy) as she shut her eyes. (pans out while going higher. Lightning flashes and rain pours down.)
Yeti turned back slowly, his voice soft, barely audiable over the rain. "I always thought that you were going to leave me for Rasho. I always thought you regtretted having me for a mate instead. For a little bit I" he paused, nervous. "I even thought that the pups were Rasho's, not mine. I was always so afraid." He moved closer, thouching his cheek to Saharah's.
Saharah turned her head away suddenly at his words about Rasho. But then after a moment she pressed against him.
"I love you," she whispered as she leaned against his wet fur.
Yeti lowered his head slightly seeing Saharah's reaction to his words about Rasho, but said nothing about it. He pressed against her. "I love you, too." he barked softly. In the back of his mond, he wondered if Saharah would ask about what he was saying about being a murdered. He hoped that she wouldnt.(Which of course means that she should)
(Yup! XD I took the hint. :P)
Saharah gave him a look as she shook her fur again.
"What do you mean your a murderur.." she whispered. Suddenly a cold paw clamped around her heart as she remembered Shenzi was missing.
(WHOA! My FINGERS did that..! o.o)
Yeti nearly growled in frustration. He could tell what Saharah was thinking by the look on her face. Feeling as equally hurt as angry, he explained, "I never purposly killed any wolf, or lay a paw on any but one. But everyone kept dying around me, no ones fault but my own. The only wolf I ever killed was my father, but I have no real memory of it. Thats why I changed my name. Do you know what Yeti means? A Yeti is a white monster. What I am." he knew he was babbling on, and nothing could make it better. He knew in his heart that Saharah would leave him not that she knew, and he braced for the worst. He also knew that if Saharah left him, he would do nothing but kill himself. For a moment, he thought about how he would accomplish killing himself, whether it would be by cliff or running under something that was falling. He shook the thoughts out of his mind. He wanted to run, jump, hide, do anything, just leave. For a moment, he remembered his fathers face, right before he died. The image haunted him. He wondered if Saharah would say something, or just turn and leave. For some reason, he hoped at this point that she would just leave, just stop this awefull nightmare.
"Yeti-" barked Saharah with worry as she saw his twitching face with horrified eyes staring at some distant memory long gone by.
"Yeti....what happened to you.." she whispered.
Yeti sat down, ignoring the rain pouring over his fur. For a moment, he thought about where to start. There was so much to tell. "When I was very young, I lived with my sister and my brother. My mother had taken my sister for hunting practice, so me and my brother hid in a bush next to a monster path. He wanted to know how monsters moved, so I called him stupid and told him to go jump infront of one and see. He was killed instantly. Some time after, a bit after my father and sister had dissapeared, my mother tried to go cross a stream to get an elk because I was hungry, but she drowned. A long time after that, I had put togeather a small pack an we were looking for a territory, so we attacked a pack now run by my father, who hated me. I dont remmeber much of the battle, only that everybody was killed. I killed my own father in cold blood, but someone slammed into my head, and I was knocked out and lost most of my memory from when I was young. It was brutal." he shivered, remembering everything. He could practically feel his father's blood, seeping through his jaws. He braced, prepared for Saharah to attack him or just leave.
(lol. I can't help it! The jumping in front of one is pretty epic. XD)
Saharah looked almost relieved.
"Yeti.....that wasn't all your fault! What if I had been crossing a stream to feed my pups and the pack. It's not their fault if I died, I chose to go across. Nobody forced me. And your brother. That wasn't your fault!! You told him to, but there was obvious sarcasm in your voice- you wouldn't just say that, and he should have known. It wasn't- your-FAULT!"
Yeti paused for a moment. "Saharah, Ive come to accept the fact that all those deaths were my fault. I dont have the memory to prove it otherwise." He stopped, startled by his own determination. He turned. "I should go. You dont want a wolf like me in Mistypack."
The rain turned to a drizzle again and a little sun showed through the clouds.
"Yeti!" Saharah gave a cry as she took one step further.
"You'll do a cowardly thing as that?" she questioned. She knew this could go two ways. Either he could get mad and prove himself by staying, or get mad and leave. Forever. "I had your pups. You'd leave them? You're their father!"
Yeti growled softly, anger and sadness washing over him like the rain. "The pups..." Yeti whimpered quietly. He was frozen, unable to decide. He knew that he could never leave Saharah, never leave his pups, but he felt that Saharah didnt really want him to stay. He was still sure that she would leave him.
Saharah finally made the decition.
"I love you, Yeti. Even if your a murderur. And if you leave, I'll still love you. But how much. After all. Who can love sombody who deserted them- left them abondoned and on their own....." she murmured as she turned back towards the camp.
Yeti's heart lurched. He knew that if he didnt act soon, a chapter in his life would close, and could never be reopened. His voice was choked with sadness. "Saharah, I cant leave. I cant leave my pack, and my pups. And I love you too much, Saharah! I-I would die if I werent with you...." Yeti was sure he sounded like a pup who wasnt getting his way, but hoped Saharah would understand.
Saharah gave him a look of pure sadness.
"I know...." she whispered. "But it's your choice..."
(choice.....choice..." *echos* and then he wakes up and runs to Saharah and their in Mstypack camp and there were never any uprights ever.)
"Im staying." Yeti barked, sounding determined. "if I leave this place, Ill go crazy with worry. Plus, how will Mistypack survive without my great leadership skills?" he grinned, trying to lighten the mood.
Saharah gave a smile.
"Great," she murmured as she pressed against him.
"Now wheres Shenzi.."
Yeti pressed against Saharah, not wanting to worry about anything. "She's definetly been captured-again. We need to get her out. Poor Shenzi..' he barked, trailing off. "Caught again. She's got to be terrified..."
Saharah gave a snort of disgust at uprights and sniffed the air.
"I smell her scent-" she said. She suddenly gave Yeti a look.
"The uprights! They had trapped wolves!!"
Yeti nodded. "Yeah. They had trapped wolves, and Shenzi's scent trail dissapeared, right next to a trap." He lifted his nose, scenting. He looked around a little bit, then froze. "The uprights- their close. Almost immeadiatly, the sounds of uprights trampling through forest sounded through the trees.
Saharah jumped to the side, crouched beside a bush.
"Yeti!" she hissed as she crouched lower.
Yeti dashed behind a bush, crouching next to Saharah. He held his breath, trying to keep silent. He listen closer, and heard whines of ditress, and could tell that the uprights were pulling something. "They have a wolf!" he whispered, listening closer. "Shenzi! Its Shenzi!"
(woahhh, Kurow and Zoraz posting alert XD
...somewhere in the forest away from the two of you =p lols)
"Yes. I can't keep laying here ," Hikari growled as she staggered to her paws, "the least I can do is move my body into camp." Once she had got up she felt dizzy and nauseous. She felt pain lace around her neck and stab her head. Hikari leaned heavily against Kurow's shoulder, the world was blurry and confusing.
"Ev-everything is so...," Her whine faded into nothing. "Let's go."
(lolz)
Saharah gave a low growl.
"We have to stop them!" she snarled.
Kurow tried to support her as much as possible, chrouching lower. "Take it slow." he barked softly.
Yeti stood up, stalking closer to the noise. Sure enough, as he got close, he saw three uprights wheeling a cage through the woods. He saw Shenzi, laying in the cage, whining softly.
Hikari nodded slightly and moved forward slowly. Kurow was by her side, helping guide and support her onwards. It was hard to keep her confusion from growing; the world was either blurry or moving.
"Sit down for a minute." Kurow barked, seeing her confusion.
"I don't need to."She shook her head lightly."You can guide me, I'll be fine."
Kurow nodded slightly, the scents of camp becoming stronger as they moved.
Eternity seemed to pass by. She didn't know where she was going, or how far they needed to walk. It was hard for her to take in smells and distinguish whatever it was. But whatever her condition, she was determined to keep going.
Saharah slowly rose to her feet.
"Lets go!" she snarled. And before he could stop her, she bolted out with a loud snarl, leaping at the uprights.
Kurow halted once they reached the edge of the clearing. "Here we are." he barked.
Yeti roared in anger, leaping at on of the uprights. He grabbed its forepaw in his moulth, snarling. Another upright pointed a firestick at him, but he pushed off the other upright and grabbed the firestick in his mouth, wresling it away from the upright. He swan his head, hitting the upright with the firestick.
Hikari sighed with relief.
"Thank you, Kurow,"she whispered,"you've done so much for me."
Kurow smiled slightly. "Your welcome, Hikari." he barked softly.
Saharah felt the adrinaline soaring through her body, giving her extra strength. She leapt straight for the chest of a upright, not feeling the pain as it clawed at her while barking loudly. As she tore at its chest she suddenly was aware of the others grabbing their firesticks and pointing them at her and Yeti. There was a loud bang and she let go of the throat of the upright as she leaped backwards- also aware of a sharp pain in her chest and something hot and sticky all over her. Then it went black.
(Epic. I luuuve my fingerz. ^_^ )
Yeti snarled in frustration and anger, throwing the firestick away with his mouth. Immediately and upright grabbed the firestick, pointing it at Yeti. Yeti, not seeing the upright, tore at the arms of the upright that shot Saharah, its blood pouring out of its mouth. BANG! BANG! BANG! The upright repeatedly pulled the trigger at Yeti, who turned just in time to see the last shot sink into his back leg, next to the other tree bulletwounds. He stumbled to the ground, willing himself to stay conscious.
Shenzi opened her eyes wearily to the sound of firesticks, fighting off the effects of the strange feathers the uprights had fired into her shoulder. She looked trough the webs of the dark cage, and took in the situation she saw outside. She started barking wildly, throwing her entire weight against the door of the cage. After repeated slams, the door groaned, then gave way, and Shenzi leaped out of the cage and onto the upright with the gun, who fell to the ground and stayed there unmovingly.
(So does that mean she can?)
Dreamer smiled at him, then turned and padded into the pine trees. She lifted her nose for the scent of prey.
(Yup!)
Back at the camp Frazko froze, hearing the loud bangs and angry snarls. He whipped around to face the wolves.
"Stay HERE!" he barked before quickly beconing to Haku, Kamodo and Shade. He tore out of the camp towards the sounds, hoping desperatly that he wouldn't be to late.
One of the uprights gave a startled bark as resources poured into the clearing of the forest where the wolves had attacked them. They pointed to firesticks at them but for some reason didnt shoot. They yelled and made wild gestures as they started to turn and run.
Shenzi chased after the uprights for a few moments, a violent look in her single eye, a strange look for the normally calm gray wolf.
Yeti quickly turned, limping on three legs to Saharah's side. He nuzzled her softly, oblivious to the pain in his own leg. Tears slid down his cheeks.
Saharah blinked and opened her eyes slightly, feeling the pain growing, but mostly just a dull throbbing all over her body- mostly in her head. The stench of blood- uprights and wolves- filled the air. She tried to speak to Yeti but no words came from her mouth. Suddenly breathing became harder and she gasped for air and then blacked out as more blood spewed out across the ground.
(I'm seriously concidering it...but Yeti. It would kill him.. Holy cow! Shenzi would be alpha!)
Just then Shade, Frazko, Haku and Kamodo flew into the clearing. Shade let out a battle cry of rage and hurtled himself at the uprights, snarling and snapping at them as he wrenched the firesticks from their paws. Frazko snarled at them, daring at them to come closer and fight as they barked and squealed like little pups. Frazko then whipped around and ran to Shenzi, quickly giving her a friendly nudge.
(Ya know, maybe the time for the rule of Yeti and Saharah is up. Maybe its time that Frazko and Shenzi become the alphas. Ive been seriously considering killing Yeti too...It might be a good thing for change. You never know what could happen...)
(oh and just to clarify, Yeti was shot in the leg a few times.)
Shenzi smiled, licking Frazko on the cheek. "Your a bit late." she teased.
Yeti nuzzled Saharah, laying down next to her. He let out a cry of pain as his injured leg touched the ground from the side. "Saharah..." he barked softly. To him, with no healers around and being so far from camp, he was sure Saharah was doomed, and if help didnt come, he was too. He stroked her side with his muzzle, breathing in her scent.
Frazko gave a small grin.
(I'd love to write but this stupid mood swing is killing me! I swear I'll make a tragic ending of every wolf if I write right now. XD :) I will soon though)
Shenzi smiled slightly before relizing what had happened. Saharah had been shot! She turned, racing(like a bullet lol) to Saharah and Yeti. She stood stunned for a moment, seeing all the blood. She clenched her teeth, resisting the urge to turn away.
(lol!)
(Okay, no. I couldn;t do it. I can;t kill off Saharah! :\)
Shade spun around as a upright aimed the firestick at Shenzi and he leaped at it, his muzzle covered in spilled upright blood.
"GRAAAHHH!!" he bellowed at the upright.
Shenzi turned, staring in horror. Her eyes were side as she stood over Saharah and Yeti, prepared to dash infront of the shots if they came near the fallen wolves or her mate, or any pack member.
The upright fell to the ground as Shade gave a killing bite.
"I'm done with these uprights-" he said as he snarled and spat out upright blood. "GET AWAY FROM US!" he bellowed as the two other uprights went running away at top speed, clumsily running into bushes and ducking under trees.
Shade panted heavily as he glared at the dead upright.
"Shegh.." he muttered with complete disgust. he turned and then saw Saharah and Yeti as they bled. He froze before turning.
"Kamodo! Get Reamo!" he barked quickly, suddenly talking more than normal.
Kamodo bolted into the trees.
Yeti picked his head up slightly at the sound of Shade's voice. His vision was blurry, and the world spun around him. He forced himself to try to find out what was going on, but his head hurt from the effort. He lay his head down on the ground, and blacked out.
A few minutes later, Kamodo came running back into the clearing, Reamo following close behind. Reamo immeadiatly started looking over the two wolves.
Flare, back at the camp, took charge of the pack, hearing what was going on.
"Okay-" she barked and turned. "Mirage, go get herb supplies if you can find it-" she barked as she began to dish out orders and check that all the pups were in the pack and safe.
Shade pawed at Saharah's wounds, closing and covering them with moss that not only protected it, but soaked up the blood too- a self-taught trick from Lonership. (Wow. The words my fingers type sometimes....)
Reamo squeezed some water onto both Yeti's and Saharah's moulths, trying to get them to regain concousness. He put herbs onto their wounds. Yeti stirred slightly opening his eyes. "Save...Saharah" he managed weakly before blackingout again. Reamo clenched his jaw at he took a good look at Yeti's leg.
Shenzi was unsure of what to do for a moment. Eventually, she barked, "Someone go make sure those uprights arent coming back." she told no one in perticulaur, not really caring the that point. She pressed against Frazko, greatfull for his presence.
Shade gave a snarl.
"They won't be coming back." he said ina low growl. "And if they do," he gave several snarls as he snapped at a invisable object, starting to foam at the mouth. "They'll wish they hadn't."
Frazko held moss next to Saharah and dripped it into her mouth slowly. She stirred slightly and moaned.
"Yeti.."
Yeti stirred at the sound of his name. "Saharah!" he barked excitedly, licking her cheek gently. Reamo began to wrap Yeti's leg carefully.
Saharah slowly began to sit up.
"What happened...." she whispered. She looked at the dead upright. "No...." she said in hushed tones. She bowed her head and was silent for a moment.
"I hoped it wouldn't come to this." she whispered again. "Now they'll come after us more and more often. To kill." she murmured. The flow of blood was slowing from the wounds the firestick had inflicted and she lay down, dizzy from the loss of blood.
"Then we'll keep moving." Yeti barked with absolute conviction. "They cant follow us forever." He attempted to sit up, groaning in pain but trying not to show it.
Shade stepped forward and hesitantly spoke.
"I can help guide the pack, alpha. If it is your wishes. I use-" he broke of and changed his words instantly. "I used to live in this kind of territory. I can help guide the pack through the forest, hopefully to our new territory." he said strongly as he bowed his head low in submission.
Yeti nodded slightly. "Shade, I trust you with guiding the pack through this area." he barked. "Im sure you will be a good guide and help us find out new territory." He smiled slightly, hoping Shade would relax a bit and not treat the alpahs like royalty.
Shade nodded and stepped back awkwardly but with confidance.
"I'll go organize the pack. You two are in no condition to travel."
"I can make it." Yeti barked, an edge on his voice, hating being assumed weak. "Its Saharah im worried about."
Shade instantly backtracked.
"I didn't mean you were unable to travel, I meant we should all rest after the encounter with the uprights- you two got the worst of it, Alpha." he said smoothly.
"I relized." Yeti barked under his breath. He stood up, putting a little bit of weight on his injured leg. He bent down, licking Saharah's cheek.
Shade flicked his ears back with annoyance but kept his cool.
"Okay. Can you make it back to camp by yourself?" he asked- suddenly realizing he shouldn't have said that he froze, watching Yeti's reaction.
"Of course I can!" Yeti growled with annoyance, showing his teeth. He walked a few steps, trying to hide the pain. "Frazko, help me carry Saharah back to the pack." he barked.
(LOL confused here!)
Dreamer yowled out in pain as an odd silver thing clamped tightly onto her leg. She clenched her teeth and looked back, seeing blood seeping down her leg."Uh, Rasho?" She asked in a painful voice."I have a dilemma."
Shade gave a sudden snarl of irritation, annoyed at having been growled at when only trying to helped.
"Alright then. We'll leave today then," he glared at Yeti. "If you're fine with forcing yourself to ignore all injuries and pain and hurt yourself even more!" he snarled.
Rasho gave a bark of surprise as the metal clanged shut around Dreamer's leg; snapping him out of his thoughts of suicide.
"Uprights!" he snarled. He pawed at the trap to test it's strength and then sniffed Dreamer's leg.
"Your bleeding-" he announced to try and sound more helpful than he felt. "Does it feel like anything's broken?" he asked as he licked away the blood.
Yeti snarled angrily, standing tall. "Shade, just because I gave you power does NOT give you the right to talk to the alpha like that!" he took a step foreword, standing over him.
Dreamer clenched her teeth."I'm not sure, I can't feel my leg at all!" She looked at Rasho, her eyes betraying her fear. She heard two-leg footsteps approaching.
Shade didn't back down.
"Just because I'm a pack member doesn't mean you have free reign to snarl at me," he said cooly. "I was just stating facts. And if you noticed, I was just trying to help. But if you don't want it-" he turned and walked away back towards camp.
Rasho muttered something under his breath that sounded like; "why me.." He glanced around quickly and hid behind a bush, waiting for them to see Dreamer so he could make his attack.
Yeti glared at him, but let himleave without another word. He muttered something incomprihenceble under his breath, and limped back over to Saharah. He began carefully boosting her onto his back, ingoring pain, carefull not to hurt her in any way.
Shade walked back to camp and swiftly organized a hunting patrol as he couldn't find Felicia.
"Leko, Blaze, Kamiki and Kurow, I need you to go and hunt." he barked, noticing Kurow next to Hikari he almost changed his mind but then turned to Flare, who had just returned from chasing off the uprights. He seemed very talkitive and confidant. "Flare, please watch Hikari and find mroe herbs," he said as he turned back around and glanced around the camp. He quickly padded around till he found a small dip in the ground under a elm tree that provided shade and privacy and began to line it with ferns and weeds for Yeti and Saharah.
Yeti began the long trudge back to camp, ignoring the pain and the other wolves.
Kurow growled slightly, not leaving the spot where he was sitting. "Who made you alpha?" he called out to Shade. "And Im not leaving Hikari."
Shade whipped around and glared at Kurow.
"Yeti and Saharah! If you hadn't had your nose in Hikari's fur all this time you might notice they had been attacked by uprights," he snarled. "Now make yourself useful and go catch some prey or you'll answer to the alphas. Hovering won't make her better anyway," he growled, irritated by the pack's non compliance.
(My fingers again. Is that even a word? If so- the word I was looking for?..)
Kurow looked at Shade cooly, still not moving. "From what I heard, Yeti gave you permission to guide the pack, not lead it. Also, it does not seem like Yeti is too happy with you right now, so if I were you, I wouldnt be pushing my luck like that." He was deadly calm, and his voice betrayed no emotion.
Shade shrugged and turned away.
"Fine. You have Saharah to answer to then. And if you care so much about Hikari why don't you help gather herbs or prey!" he demanded, and then began to leave with the hunting patrol that was paused awkwardly waitching the two wolves. "As if you were so loyal to the pack." he spoke quietly with a hint of disbelief. "If you were half as loyal as you pretend to be you would put the pack before your own WANTS to be with Hikari!" (*lightning flash!* lol)
Kurow resited the urge to snarl, but instead stayed calm. "You never really wanted me here, did you? Hmph." he snorted, turning away. "No suprises there, I suppose. Hikari was the only one who ever wanted me here. And im not leving the only wolf that cares." He sat back down next to Hikari, his back to Shade.
Dreamer watched Rasho hide."Wait, Rasho!" She yowled after him. A twoleg pounced out of the bushes, immediately shooting something out of a metal stick. Some weird twig dug into Dreamers shoulder. The world around her went fuzzy and she collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
(Tranquilizers :P )
(I know. XD)
Shade ignored the wolf and laughed quietly to himself, prtending he didn't care and that he had blown it all off.
Rasho leaped out of the bushes and attacked the uprights, snarling and snapping. (you rp the uprights)
The twoleg jumped back in surprise. He then aimed the metal stick at Rasho and shot.
The other twoleg snaked around the snarling wolf, grabbing Dreamer and prying the trap off of her leg. He flung her wiry body over his shoulder and ran to a monster.
Rasho took action instantaniously. he grabbed the stick out of his skin and spat it out before it got much venom in and then launched again.
"GRAAAAAAAHH!" he bellowed as his vision went red. He felt the unmistakable power of his Dark Side welling up inside him again and he shuddered involentarily before diving at the **upright's** throat and crinching down hard, lapping at the flow of blood- not calming the urges, but instead encouraging them.
(omgsh, that is honestly what I felt like. HELP!!!!!!!!!!)
Yeti limped into the clearing, setting down Saharah next to the pups. Shenzi had come in a moment before, and called all the pups over so she could explain. After she finished, she looked around for Frazko. Yeti, having been close enough to hear the conversation between the two males, gave Shade a warning stare.
The two-leg tossed Dreamer into another metal contraption and turned his monster to life. He ran off.
The other twoleg fell to his knees. Blood poured out of his neck and he collapsed to the ground.
(Some **UPRIGHT**. "Throwing his pal to the wolves". XD)
Rasho spat out the taste of blood and glanced up towards the retreating monster. He instantly dismissed the idea of chasing it as he had learned about them before as a loner and instead started to track it, running quickly. After a moment he skidded to a halt remembering the strange hard spiderwebs with sudden horror. He sniffed the wind, realizing there might be a quicker way and cought the scent of wolves and uprights. He glanced back towards where the upright had left in the monster and then tore across towards the upright place.
Shade ignored this too and began to trot, the rest of the hunting patrol behind him.
"We're all stressed and tired from the journey.." he muttered to himself. "We need to pull together or this will never work."
Reamo padded up to Kira with a few herbs. "Have you dicided what to name the pups?" He asked, smiling slightly. He coughed slightly, putting down the herbs.
Tygris looked around, trying to put together another hunting potrol. She looked around for available wolves, her eyes settling on Blaze. She felt her heart bet faster looking at him, but turned away.
No time for that now... she thought.
(sry, Im really bored right now....can't come up with anything better. I'm using an iPad at the Appple store....)
(WOOT! BLAZE AND TYGRIS!)
(I'll reply soon)
(LOL yeah. i was hoping she could disappear for a few posts? Maybe the pack moves on without her and she has to find them once she breaks out?)
Dreamer slowly came to. She was somethign cold and hard. It seemed it was made out of the same thing that caught her leg. She some some strange thing wrapped around her leg, stained with blood. She stood, lifting her leg off of the ground, and looked out to see many other animals in things similar to hers.
(Cool. Good idea.)
(BTW: normally when the uprights make traps that hurt the wolf, they are out to kill them. The uprights with the huge cages are keeping them alive, and usually if they don't kill them they make Live Traps.)
Rasho skidded to a halt, panting as he crouched in the trees beside the strange traps and upright dens. They were even stranger up close. They barely had any scent save the scent of the uprights that padded through them all day. He glanced over and saw the traps holding the wolves and then, seeing no uprights around, slowly came forward.
"Hey, you-" he hissed to a wolf who was tiredly pawing at the fence. She glanced over and her eyes lit up with relief.
"Hi! Who are you? Where did you come from? Can you help us! The uprights trapped us and put us in these fences for some reason," she explained hurriedly. Rasho's head spun with the new words. "Fences?" he inquired. She nodded and pawed at the trap. "These are fences. Like huge spiderwebs," she gave a growl as she heaved herself at it. "They are much stronger than any wolf." she stated, shaking herself as the fence threw her away from it.
"By the way, I'm Rain." she said with a smile.
"Rasho," Rasho dipped his head as he gazed at the young wolf's hazle eyes. The other wolves woke up as the fence rattled and came over with intrest.
"Who are you?"
"Can you help us?" They bombed him with questions and he held up a paw for silence.
"First," he began as he huddled closer. "Rain, will the uprights be back anytime soon?" he asked as he glanced around at the enclosure. Small bits of meat and bones lay around it. Dirt covered the ground but below that there was more of the fence. Rain shook her head.
"No. They only come every once in a while." she said. "At dusk they give us rabbit and deer meat and water. There are more wolves in fences over there," she gestured with her paw at a farther cage behind her. Rasho nodded and then sat down and began to hurriedly explain about Mistypack and Dreamer and how the uprights had forced them to move.
Blaze cought Tygris's gaze and held it for a second before she looked away.
Her eyes are so gorgeous.. he though absently. He plucked up his courage and trotted over to her.
"Wanna hunt?" he asked as he swished his tail, his muscles rippling under his fur.
"Sure." Tygris barked, trying not to blush or sound too excited. She was sure Blaze could hear her heart pounding.
Blaze grinned at her.
"Lets go," he barked as he brushed against her. In that small instant that he touched her he could feel her heart pounding faster than usual and his hopes soared.
Tygris sense his excitement, and her hopes soared. He's proboly just excited to have something to do she told herself. "Which way shall we go?" she asked.
Blaze laughed at her excitment.
"This way." he said, and began to run, daring her to race him.
Tygris sprinted after, laughing slightly. She smiled, feeling the wind in her fur. She slowed a bit as they arrived at the edge of a small feild with forest on all sides. The sun shined down, reflecting of the grass. Tygris's ears pricked as she spotted a limping buck on the other side of the clearing.
Shenzi looked around for Frazko.
Frazko ran over to Shenzi.
"Did the uprights hurt you? are you okay?" he asked as he nuzzled her.
Blaze spotted it to and skidded to a halt, crouching and sliding into a stalk.
"Why is it limping," he asked.
"Im fine." Shenzi barked, nuzzling him back. "Do you want to go for a walk or something?" she asked. Something was oviously bothering her.
Tygris looked at the buck's leg as she crouched. "I cant tell...there arent any wounds on it..."
(HINT HINT! lawl)
Frazko nodded, concern in his eyes.
"Whats wrong," he asked when they were a ways into the forest as he nuzzled her.
Blaze frowned.
"Somethings not right about that.." he muttered. Just then there was a loud noise from behind them. (UR TURN!! XD)
(LOL Okay, i guess they're gonna let her out when she cools off?)
Dreamer stretched in the small space. She heard some commotion and tried to look.
(I may kill Haku later... not sure.)
"Nothing.." Shenzi barked, but her tone said that that wasnt the case. "It just seems like all I ever do to help the pack is watch the pups....I havent hunted since we left the territory...and I cant help with much since I only have one eye...." she trailed off, looking into the distance.
Tygris wheeled around, trying to keep silent. She spotted an upright, holding a fire stick out inront of him. She nearly jumped in suprise before she relized it was looking at the buck. "Stay low!" she whispered.
(NOOOOOOO!!!!! NOT HAKU!!! WAAAAAHAAHAHAAA!!!)
(Sombody PLEASE rp some of the trapped wolves that are with Rain!)
Blaze, not knowing why, stayed low, his hackles raising in alarm.
"What is it-" he hissed.
Frazko gave her a firm look.
"No! You do much more than that!" he said firmly. "You just have to get used to your one eye, Shenzi! You'll get used to it and will be able to hunt again. Want to start learning now? We can do some practice hunts." he said as he nuzzled her. "And now matter what you look like, Shenzi," he whispered. "I'll always love you."
"An upright!" Tygris whipered. "Its pointing the firestick at the buck." She crouched lower.
Shenzi nuzzled him back, her eye wet hith happy tears. "Frazko..." she breathed.
Blaze took in a sharp breath. more uprights!
"NO!" he almost barked. "We need that prey!!!" he hissed loudly.
(PLEASE RP SOME OF THE TRAPPED WOLVES, SOMBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Frazko nuzzled her back for a moment.
"Want to try hunting? I can help you. It's not like your going to be or have to be perfect on your first try with only one eye," he said as he gestured towards the deeper forest.
Tygris nodded slightly, then began stalking through the trees until she was behind the upright. She quickly looked around to be sure that there was only one upright, then leaped, knocking the upright to the ground.
"I can sort of hunt..." Shenzi barked. "But that was when I knew the territory. Here, Im lost..." she nuzzled his slightly.
(......... T_T -_-*)
Blaze ws close on her paws and he threw his paws at the firestick- attempting to knock it away.
Frazko smiled.
"We have to start somewhere," he said brightly. "Come on, lets work on stalking. Sight is different, so you'll have to scent more often to make up for your eye of course." he began as he gestured her into a crouch beside him.
Tygris bit into his back, tearing its pelt and drawing blood. She snarled and growled, and tore at it's leg. It struggled to get free, making a high pitched howling sound.
Shenzi crouched low, stalking an invisible target.
(LOL Okay. OOO Maybe could one of the trapped wolves get out? I wanna RP a pup.)
Clover trotted up to the fence."Hi!" She looked up at the tall wolf.
Dreamer pawed at her imprisonment."What's going on?"
(omg so late on replying, I'm not allowed on the computer during the week b/c of skool, and my weekends are so busy D=)
Hikari was flustered as Shade and Kurow barked at one another. Her head was only begining to comprehend what was going on. Then words sliced through her ears. "If you were half as loyal as you pretend to be you would put the pack before your own WANTS to be with Hikari!" Her heart faultered at Shade's words. Did he really want her? There's no question. Why would he stay and help me...even if he had the chance not to. He feels the same way I do.
"You never really wanted me here, did you? Hmph." Kurow snorted, turning away. "No suprises there, I suppose. Hikari was the only one who ever wanted me here. And I'm not leaving the only wolf that cares." Hikari felt a sudden happiness in her chest, the kind that you feel while running in a green field chasing a fat rabbit just for the fun of it. It was a feeling she had when her mother laughed at how wierd she'd swam. Hikari got to her paws, wobbled for a brief second, and faced Kurow.
"It's fine, Kurow, I'll be alright."
Kurow shook is head adamatly. "No, Ill stay." He barked. For a moment, he looked out into the distance, not sure what else to say. "Im not leaving until youre 100% better." he decided, looking her in the eyes.
(Is Clover in the cage with Rain, Dreamer?)
Rasho finished the story and the wolves nodded.
"Wow. You've been through a lot," barked Rain, her eyebrows raised as she looked impressed. She glanced around cooly. "Anyways, you think you can help us out of this cage? I mean, it's fine and all;" she grinned. "But freedom cant be beat." Rasho laughed, staring at her sparkling eyes and grinning face.
How can she be so happy while being trapped by uprights!? he thought with disbelief. He nodded and began to size up the whole situation. Rain beckoned the others beside her to move back a little. She was obviously the alpha of the area. The other wolves in the farther cages began to wake up and they watched anxiously at the newcomer, each hoping they might be freed. Rasho pawed at the fence to test it's strength. He nodded to himself, acknowledging it's fierce strength and hard unrelenting metal. He sat back on his haunches, frustrated at being unable to figure out how to get through it.
Frazko nodded encouragingly.
"Good! Keep your left side crouched a little more though, I think you've gotten used to leaning more towards your right because of your one good eye," he noted as he helped her straighten out." (am I interfering to much? Sorry! I'm just trying to make it interesting. :P )
A young male wolf sat alone in a pen, looking at Rasho with distain. His gray pelt was crisscrossed with scars, and a few ran across his face. His ice ble eyes held no joy, just pain, loss, and regret. He made no move like he wanted to get out.
(Its fine!)
Shenzi nodded, turning as she jokingly ponced on Frazko.
