(SSF: Black tribal wolves have now begun to live in Mistypack camp. Their new alpha will be ariving soon. Th black wolves are cruel and have been making up excuses to hurt mistypack members. A black guard wolf sent Reamo, Kuni and Kari out to hunt for healing herbs, but when they paused to listen to a conversation the guard caught them off guard and sent Kari spinning to the ground. Reamo stood up for her, refusing to bow at the guard's command, saying; "I refuse to bow to anybody who hurts an innocent wolf,". Reamo was brutally attacked and is now bleeding heavily on teh ground, possibly dead. Kari's rage overcame her soon after Kuni was nearly singled out and she leapt for the black wolf, managing to clamp down on his neck and killing him shortly after.
Help has been sumoned and Frazko is on the scene.)
Saharah stared at her daughter's bloody muzzle and at Reamo.
"What happened?" she choked out.
Kari shook her head, her eyes wide and her whole body nub with shock.
"It's not like that!" she whispered, seeing her mother's gaze staring at Reamo. "I didn't-"
"Silence." Saharah choked harshly. "Kuni, what happened."
Karuso traveled swiftly through the forest towards Mistypack camp. He was over the border.
He put on a smug look as he slowed to a walk and then he laughed to himself, narrowing his eyes with a grin.
A thought came to his mind as he neared the camp enterance.
"Your new alpha has arrived!"

Story So Far (SSF):
When complications hit Mistypack, Saharah (the alpha) decided to take instant action against the invading uprights, shortage of food and overall bad territory. They then put some distance between that territory (around 200 miles worth) even with the new pups of the alphas and betas. Long story short, an enemy wolf was recruited, then turned against them and became alpha by force. Terror and bad times followed his reign and a battle is currently raging.
Kuni and Kari's story can be followed at the Fresh Kill link below the chat box on the right sidebar.
An uprising started by Sako surged through the pack and they revolted against the guards. The battle is raging and wolves from both sides are falling. Who will triumph? Add your attacks to the battle by commenting in the newest post!

Kuni took a breath, trying to calm down, but his voice was still filled with panic. "This black wolf came and attacked me and Kari, but Reamo stopped him. He tried to make Reamo submit, but Reamo refuesed, and Kari attacked the black wolf angrily, but the black wolf threw her aside, and Reamo attacked...and this happened. Then Kari attacked again, and killed the black wolf." He stopped, breathing heavily.
Kurow arrived slowly, staying on the edge of the scene, not getting close. He looked around for Kira, knowing that if she wasnt there tha shed be there soon.
Shenzi pressed against Frako slightly, trying to calm down.

(new alpha, well i certainly missed alot, read all 62 comments so im ready for commenting myself!)
*frowns when hears the words "new alpha has arrived"* Let the torture begin *whispers under breath* Where, all i see is a mangy-fleapelt that thinks he can rule over us! I was expecting a wolf, not a mouse *says a bit louder, enough for the other mistypack members around to hear, but no one else*
"We should go check out whats going on." Says jabber once he was back.
A guard threw a dirty look towards Shur`tugal and lifted his lips in a snarl, seeing her muttering.
"Silence before your alpha!" he barked harshly.
Karuso entered the camp and lifted his head smirkingly.
"Bow!" he barked, not even bothering to leap onto the rock.
Without hesitation the guards threwe themselves into a bow, eyes on the ground, submission written all over them.
Kira arrived as Kuni told the story and he eyes were wide with panic.
"Reamo!" she gasped. She ran to her mate, crouching beside him and licking the blood from his face gently as she could.
"Reamo? Can you hear me..?" she whispered.
Tears flowed unwelcomed down Kari's face but she held back sobs. Her legs were nearly shaking with adrinaline and fear but she made them steady. She returned her mother's gaze without flinching.
Saharah stared at her daughter. She had killed a guard. She wasn't angry for her- but devestated that her daughter would have to go through such a trauma and scared for her life. The black wolves would most likely try to kill her.
"Oh, Kari.." she whispered. Kari turned her face away, not with shame or to hide her tears, but so she could no longer see the hurt in her mother's eyes.
Frazko stood frozen, thoughts flying through his head. Was Reamo going to be okay? What was Kari's punishment going to be from the black tribe?
He watched, words not coming to his mouth as Kira lay beside her mate. Then he jerked and turned sharply as he heard voices and padding paws coming through the forest. The black wolves!
(Kurow and I will rp the black wolf patrol)
Mirage started with Jabber towards the sound of chaos near the cliffs but they were stopped by a guard.
"Let them figure it out." he growled. "Stay. Your alpha has work for you two. Bow to him!"
Reamo struggled to regain consiousness, the pain overwhelming. He heard voices seemingly from underwater, red spots danced behind his closed eyelids.
Kuni stood protectively next to Kari, wishing he knew a way to comfort her.
Yeti spun around to where he could hear theblack wolf patrol. He stood between his gathered pack, his teeth bared.

*mock bows and returns dirty look* that what you wanted? -on the outside she tried to look feirce and defiant but she was slightly scared on the inside-
(the only thing I'm confused with is that it seems that all the other pack's wolves are black besides that one silver wolf)
Hikari had padded carefully through the scene once she had arrived. She had also listened to the what happened, but she still remained expressionless. She felt furious and guilty as she recalled her...curiosity ,of the strange wolves. She padded quietly towards Kari, Kuni, and Reamo. Reamo, who was lying still on the ground, needed to be treated as soon as possible. Hikari could now hear the sounds of an incoming patrol - most likely that of the other pack. "Kari,Kuni, the bleeding needs to be stopped. He is still alive, you can see his sides just barley moving. Help me gather some moss or possibly cobweb. We need to be swift, or he'll die for sure."Not to mention the patrol that is most likley coming.
(Thunder- Mentioning Mother Earth? The name alone can give her power XD. *feels like an ancient Greek religion geek* maybe leave out the cursing- Im afraid some of our members are a bit younger. No big deal though!)
(Sky- Their not all black, just when me and Zoraz are coming up with wolves on the spot, they tend to be black. Its symbolic, I guess.)
"uhg" Says jabber as he walkes back to camp and somewhat mechanically bowed down to Karuso.
(I refuse to call him the new alpha)
(lol, Alina.)
(Sorry thunder--Swearing is against the rules. Your comment has been deleted for this purpose. You can read the rules beneath the header and above th posts.
No big deal, but swearing is not aloud.)
Saharah nudged her mate gently.
"Don't." she murmured. "We can't make more trouble.."
The (mostly, lol) black wolf patrol came thundering over to the group.
"What happened? What's going on?" one of them snarled, glaring at Kari.
"Manuh- they have killed Rega!" (iFail at names. XD) a black wolf stared at the lifeless form of the guard, who's fur was now covered in blood. The eyes of the patrol glanced at the body as one and then Manuh glared at Kari with such ferocity she could swear she was melting.
Kari started to try and edge towards Hikari but the black wolf stopped her, his eyes still glaring with hatred.
"She has gone mad. Stupid female, seize her and drag her back to Karuso! She will be punished."
(lol zoraz, i like the names)
*face hardens as Munah glared at Kari* (am i alowed to be a rebel in this moment? Can always rewrite if not) Maybe he'd still be alive he hadn't attacked Reamo (it was reamo right?)! I think the only ones who should be punished are you!Do anything to her that will permantly hurt her and you won't have me to rule over anymore(merp i think im going a bit far should i erase? and the me to rule over part meaning that she would dye to save Kari, or any of the other pack members)
Yeti lowered head, snarling. "Dont touch my daughter." He barked coldly, his eyes likes steel.
"She only killed him to keep him from killing us." Kuni pointed out, trying to be reasonable.
(Go right ahead, Aleta. They are fierce- Loyalties are being tested. Passing with flying colors!)
Manuh gave Hikari a snarl and another lunged at her with his full weight, knocking her to the ground. He then stood there smugly.
Manuh glowered at Yeti.
"I'm in charge now. Do anything to stop me and on your head be it." he growled in response. He paused though for a moment.
"Take her gently- Karuso may want her in good condition. If he chooses to...use her." (Don't take that the wrong way, ppl. Not use as in "use" as in.."use.." like he has a job for her. NOT LIKE THAT! Aw, jeeze. You get it.)
The black wolf ignored Kuni completely and the guards grabbed Kari, begining to drag her towards the camp, but Kari stepped beside them with no hesitation.
Saharah stood frozen.
"If you hurt her I swear on the forest I will hunt you down and kill as many of you as I live to fight!" she shouted.
*watched the guards and Kari walk away* -What could they possibly want with her?- Don't think you can just rule over us like that! *growls angrily. Turns and pads to den and looks at den guards* What, you think I can escape through a den? The other side leads to the clearing! I mean is this really nesisary (idk how to spell that...)!
(I'll just continue Shur`tugal's rebeliousness and if it becomes a problem we can always delete ^^)
(if the gaurds and kari are here then heres what jabber does)
"Whats going on here, why is kari being guarded?! what happened over there?" Jabber says as he notices kari walking over with the guards.
Kari is is being punished because she killed one of the guards in self protection, and i swer if she gets hur, I'll kill them -on the outside she could do anything but on the inside she new she'd be no match for them.- *pads up to Sarhara* I'd like to for a walk, do you think they'll notice if I leave. I have my ways to get past guards... (ah im really afraid I'm going too far... you'll see why)
(I was thinking for a bit, and I came up with a possible plot. Maybe Yeti was once part of the tribe? Maybe he was born into it? I've tried to be hazy about I his past as much as possible. I just came up with this, what if Yeti and Karuso are brothers?)
(ooh Zoraz use her XD. I knew Karuso was bad, but not that bad! Jk)
As soon as the guard's backs were turned, Yeti sprinted, knocking over two of them. He reached to grab the smaller one, a gray she-wolf's neck, tasting the blood, knowing the other wolves would attack immediately, hoping that his actions would distract from Kari's punishment. (He just doesn't know where to stp, and neither do my fingers.. Feel free to dispatch him in any way you please.)
(Hikari is now maaaaad. Never take her away from helping another, or else you're playing with fire =P)
The impact of one of the wolves knocked Hikari off her paws and she hit the ground, hard. She lay stunned for a few moments before getting up, enfuriated. Kari had already been dragged away from where she was. Hikari snarled in rage. She was about ready to leap at one of the wolves, but was too late. Yeti, being a step ahead of her, had attacked, pushing the wolves away from Kari. She charged at the wolf who had pushed her over, sinking her teeth into his back. At first she could only taste fur, but then she could taste the wolf's blood as she dug her fangs deeper.
(I like being a rebel =D)
(LOL, Kurow! Karuso is pure evil, mostly. lol, but not like that!!!)
Kari struggled as she saw her friend attacked.
"No! Leave her-" a strangeling paw was clamped over her mouth and she gagged at the strong smell of dirty fur.
Manuh snarled at Yeti and lunged, knocking into him.
"Out of the way!" she snapped. "Don't cause trouble or you'll be sorry!"
Saharah lunged after Yeti.
"Yeti! Don't-"
She was slammed into by another guard and she blacked out.
*decides to go for a walk anyways, gets far out into mistypack territory and howls angrily.*There has got to be something I an do to stop them. -I know that Hikari thinks like me and we are both not taking this well at all. (not that the others aren't as well... XD), maybe I can start working together with her. And maybe I can build a temporary camp for storage since they only feed us mice the size of fleas! don't they ever catch any deer?!- *runs back to camp to get Hikari and tell of plan* (by the time Shur`tugal gets back can the fight with yeti, hikari, and the other pack be over enough that i can get a conversation in with Hikari?)
(Sky, great minds think alike! lol, love your character, I was thinking since our two characters have the same ideas about rebelliousness maybe we can get them to work together to start a rebelion if that's ok with zoraz and doesn't mess up a plot. I'll expand the length to form the rebels so we can fit in any other ideas the administrators had)
Jabber lunged at a guard nearby Kari and sunk his teath deep into the guards neck(can i play this guard? just for now and if not then just ignore the next part and one of you can play it.) The guard then lashed out at jabber and struck his leg badly, jabber imediatly released and started to run away to the woods.(and if i cant play the guard then can one of you get him hurt?)
Yeti snarled, snapping at Munuh. He clenched his teeth as his opposer clamped down on his leg, but bit at his head in return.
(ok, i think Hikari was mistaken on which wolf pushed her over lols...oh well)
Hikari felt herself being shaken off by the guard. She snarled in frustration as she struggled to keep a grip, but ended up getting bitten at her shoulder. Her grip loosened a little, in which the guard threw her off. She landed on the ground with a small thud. Hikari rolled over and jumped to her feet quickly, wincing at the fresh pain in her shoulder. Kari stood only a few feet away from where Hikari stood, yet so far away. If we don't win this...what will happen? She felt helpless, but yet so determined at the same time.
"You wolves intrude into our lives, try killing us, and try taking us. Do not expect such rash actions to be taken peacefully from us! If you try taking friends or family, it is our duty to protect them!" She snarled loudly for everyone to hear. Her fur bristled and blood dripped down her shoulder. She felt utterly helpless now...she said those words but she didn't know how she could defend them.
(u know it'd be cool if Karuso suddenly appeared, he could be like "BOO! I've appeared out of no where!")
(and lols Aleta, I'll make sure to talk to your wolf once this little fight is done with =D And really, Hikari's true nature isn't very rebellious. Her reaction was mainly that of just instant rage. My own reaction while writing it was the rebelious side >=D)
(lol, cool thx Sky ^^, do you want Shur`tgal to come in the fight so they can talk or should i just leave it to Hikari)
*she panted as she the camp came in sight* -I should probably slow down or I'll look suspicious- "Where have you been flea pelt" asked one of the guards. *smirks* Who me? Last time I check you were the one fleas in your pelt. And to answer your question I was out.*guards snarl but she just walks past them whithout them noticing*
Jabber stoped just out of range from attack and watched, helpless as he bled.
A guard snarled.
"Yes. I expect you to obey our every command! You are at the dissadvantage. We own you." on of the guards snarled.
Kari was flung aside and Manuh lunged, flinging Yeti to the ground and standing over him. he placed a choking paw over Yeti's throat and snarled loudly to them all-
"Surrender or Sako dies!!"
(wait were the guards talking to me, i thought i had passed them)
*gasps as she walks into a battle scene and Munah's paw over Yeti's throat and him saying "surrender or Sako dies"*
(didn't have much else to put...)
Yeti stuggled instictivly at hearing Sako's name, but felt Munuh's paw press harder, and lay still, choking for breath. His vision blurred, and her tried to speak but coughed.
Kurow stood still, not saying anything, waiting for the alpha's command.
After hearing munuh Jabber slowly stalked up on Munuh and held down as hard as he could on his leg.
Manuh Slammed his paw against Yeti's throat and kicked at Jabber, sending him also spinning.
"NO MORE CHANCES!" he roared. He signaled to the guards and they turned, running towards their territory.
"THE PUPS DIE!"
"No!" Yeti cried, but it came out more of a strangled yelp. He tried to breath, and through a moment of panic and lack of breath, fainted.
Shenzi broke down, tears streaming from her eyes.
Jabber hit the ground with a thud and groaned. He got up slowly and started to walk into the forest.
(you may want to have another guard attack him if you want, i dont really care. i just dont want him to die thats all.)
"What good will that do!? Bloodshed will only lead to more bloodshed!!! CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT!!!Hikari screamed at Manuh. Anger and fear pulsed through Hikari's veins. She sprinted clear of Kari's guards and raced after wolves who had left, but then veered in the direction of the camp. She couldn't feel the pain in her shoulder as her heart pounded while she dashed through the woods. Her thoughts were hardly collected, but knew she would be shut up before she could relay the information to the pack, so there was only one thing she could hope for. Karuso... cunning, strong, and ominous...there was only little chance he would listen, though. She couldn't tell if there were guards following her or not. She could only focus on avoiding trees and ditches. Although the run seemed short, the entrance where two guards were at stood only a few small tree-lengths ahead. Her voice was hoarse but loud as she continued her stride,"Let me see Karuso!" She could only hope there was enough time.
(To Hikari:
Darn you Hikari, always hoping for the best, you little devil. Your charactor is too...everywhere, I suppose. One moment your curious, the next your like a bull{bypolar much or something???}. But besides that I love you, and I seriously want to meet you in real life, bc you are a me in a different realm =D)
(lol. Sky I LOVE Hikari!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HIKARI RULES!!!!!!! I honestly love her more than any character I have ever created, and that's saying somethign!)
Manuh snarled at Jabber.
"Stay out of my site, pup!" he snarled atfter him, but didn't send any guards. He glowered at Yeti and the others.
"Catch some prey, scum." he growled before he turned and leapt after the patrol holding kari.
Saharah rushed towards her mate and Kira gave a strangled cry.
"Reamo! I think he stopped breathing!"
(im speechless...)
*pads up to Saharah and Kira* I am so sorry, do you think there is anyway we can heal him? Unfortunatly he wasnt training anyone to replace him... (is there any like med wolf or am i just insane and thought he was a med wolf...)
(yeah, hes a med wolf.)
Jabber got up, ignoring the pain, ran up to munuh and lunged at him, just before he bit into his back leg he said "IM NOT A PUP"
(you can hurt him if you want, again, just no killing him off.)
Kurow lept after Jabber, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck and pulling him away. "Its not worth it." he barked without letting go. "Your only making it worse." He held tight despite Jabber's struggling.
Kuni watched Kari then the patrol and finnally Munuh leave. "I failed. I failed everyone." He murmered quietly, not really speaking to anyone, before slinking deeper into the forest, away from where all the others had gone.
"ugh, fine." Jabber said as he was yanked away. "now let me go, i wont attack anyone anymore. promise" he said.
Manuh ignored abber's attack and continued after the patrol.
Kira gave a small cry.
"Reamo, reamo.." she whispered.
Manuh's patrol finally reached the camp. Mirage gave a small almost inaudible gasp as she saw Kari's muzzle covered in blood and her being held by the patrol.
"Kari!" called Rawen (He did stay after all..) he stared at her.
"What happened," whispered Blaze, blinking in the sunlight as he camp out of his den. His one eye made it hard to get used to different lighting.
Rain also stared at her.
"Karuso! This wolf has killed another!"
Kurow walked the few steps back to the group before releasing Jabber. Since no one was taking charge, he decided to. "I don think we should move Reamo until someone with some basic knowledge of healing looks over him... We can ask around camp, I suppose. Maybe someone knows a bit....anyways, Kuni shouldnt go near camp for his own safety." He paused for a moment, racking his brain for a problem the pack could acctually solve, but came up with none.
Reamo heard nothing but his own heartbeat echoing though a sea of darkness, and felt nothing but pain. He subconciously stuggled to break the surface and wake up, subconciously struggled to breath.
Kari nuzzled her mate softly.
"Stay still," she murmured. "You're hurt. We're finding help. Stay still, Reamo..."
Frazko looked at Yeti.
"Yeti...You know herbs," he murmured to the former* alpha.
(For anybody who is new here- Karuso and his pack have taken over Mistypack and Karuso is now alpha.)
(Yeti is still blacked out XD)
Shenzi lowered head. "I guess we'll have to find a way to wake him up..."
Reamo murmered something through his haze, but it was too quiet to be heard.
(Oh, right.)
Kira leaned closer.
"Oh, Reamo..." she whispered again, tears dripping down her face.
Frazko nodded. He padded to the white wolf beside Saharah.
"Yeti?" Saharah nudged him softly. She faught off the hurt and devestating feeling of hopelessness that the rival pack had brought and nudged him again.
"Yeti- we need you. Reamo's hurt badly..." she said for the sake of breaking the silence.
After a minute, Yeti came to. He opened his eyes, blinking confusedly while he tried to figure out what had happened. "Wha- what happened?" Then his eyes widened in terror. "Kari?!? Where is she?!?! How could I have been so weak????" Guilt washed over him; he had never been close to his pups and had failed on a time of need.
Saharah placed a steadying paw on his shoulder.
"They..they took her. Back to camp..." she blinked several times and then steadied herself. "We need your healing knowledge. Reamo's hurt, remember?"
He thought for a moment, as if trying to recall what had happened. "I don't know how much I can't help with that..." he sounded frustrated at not being able to help is pack. He growled inwardly. "I can't help with ANYTHING! I get myself knocked out right away then can't even redeem myself by saving a pack mate!"
Saharah looked thoughtfull.
"Frazko, didn't you used to do some healing? I used to when I was a loner but I've forgotten much of it."
Frazko stepped back several paces.
"No- well, yeah, but...." his eyes strayed towards Reamo and he blinked. "Okay. I'll try." he turned and dashed into the forest, already scenting for the herbs.
Yeti didn't even bother standing up, just lay staring into the forest angrily. He clenched his teeth, turning away from Saharah for fear of her disappointment.
"What can i do to help?" said jabber as he took in the scene.
Saharah shook her head.
"I don't know..." she murmured.
I used to have to know some healing when I was a loner. I think I remember some (i have every herb and their effect memerized from Warriors). Do you want me to help Frazko?
Yeti slowly climbed to his feet, still refusuing to look at anyone. Suddenly, he saw a flash of silver in the forest. He bared his teeth and watched for movement, seeing a few flashes on the edge of his vision but nothing definite.
Kurow had oviouslt seen the flashed too, aswell as the rest of the wolves gathered there. He gazed for a moment before turning away, suddenly much more nervous than he had been before..
*as she was finishing asking if she was needed to try and help reamo, she heard Yeti growl and saw Kurow look at something. Then she saw it too, the flash of silver.* what... was that... *gulps thinking that more wolves might be preparing to attack them and gets into a half-battle-ready position
(Just making sure everyone knows- The 'flash of silver' is mine, dont play it or attack it. Also, theres only one 'flash' there, so please dont make another one right now or anything like that. Just let this play out. I have a plan.)
( lols zoraz, you love Hikari too much =) I think all your wolces are pretty epic as well.)
Hikari stood panting in the camp, near the entrance to the right. The guards had just snarled at her as she ran past them, ignoring her request. Now, as she caught her breath, the patrol of guards led by Manuh arrived. Kari was with them, blood in her fur. Munah announced something but she wasn't focused enough to hear all the words spoken. But she heard the words "this wolf". Kari...the pups...Suddenly she recalled to a certain time in her past. A past where her mother had spoke to Hikari with the wisdom of years of life. She had filled Hikari with great knowledge about how she should live her life, how she could survive. Her mother had told her stories that contradicted the laws of nature. She even told stories that explained the reasoning behind why things are the way they are. But what Hikari thought about at the moment, was the time where she and her mother stared at the trees below them, under the mountain they had climbed. She had said at that time, "Those who live upon nothing but strength are as weak as those without any. Hikari, though you may or may not be physically strong, you must always be wise. Your words, stature, and understanding in the world can change the meaning of strength.” She could hear her mother’s words echo in her mind as it snapped to the present. She felt a warm nostalgic feeling in her heart, as if her mother was there to guide her. Hikari waited to see an unfamiliar pelt that would approach Manuh at his summons.
(I REALLY wish that Hikari’s mother was alive, because she is one of the most amazing wolves ever. But because she died, all you will get to know about her will be from glimpses of Hikari’s past, and that her name is Kotari =D)
"whats going on, are there guards coming?" Jabber said, nervous now.
Karuso stepped out of his den. Snow surrounded the entire camp and was now at least four inches deep. ( I keep forgetting it's winter........)
His eyes narrowed as he saw her.
"We have a trouble-maker already, huh?" he growled.
"Send her to the dens and I will talk to Manuh about this.
Rawen ran to Kari and tried to fight his way through the guards.
"What happened?! Where are the others?!" he shouted. Kari struggled slightly against the grip and shouted back to the others in the camp,
"They're okay- except for Reamo! He's hurt badly-" then was sent spinnining away and shoved into a den by a growling brown wolf with malice in his eyes.
Manuh went to talk to Karuso and then the guards milled around the camp.
"Hey you!" one barked at Talon. "Go get me some elk! And get back here quick. Cause if you don't..." he lifted his lips in a snarling grin that made several others shudder.
Aroko rose quickly.
"I'll go too-" he said in a commanding voice.
The other said nothing and he stepped boldly over to Talon.
"I swear," he muttered softly. "I could murder one of these guards."
Blaze was talking to one of the guards and gesturing at several wolves every so often. The guard was nodding and occasionally narrowing his eyes with a hideous grin of evil. Rain shuddered to think about what they were speaking of. What was Blaze telling them and why?
A black female was in the group of guards. She snarled at one and he immediately moved aside. She looked powerful and ruthless.
"Hey Manuh! Hurry it up, will you?" she barked sharply.
Rasho lingered beside the prey pile, hunger filling his every limb. He reached for a rabbit to serve a guard who came stomping by and his mouth watered.
he had been told he couldn't eat until dark. And it was only later mid-day! Nobody but the guards could eat.
And this terror and cruelty would go on for much longer than they thought....
Talon nodded nervously, turning quickly into the forest. She beckond for Aroko hesitantly. Once they were out of earshot, Talon sighed, but still said nothing.
Drakon(I need to use him more...) watched the guards from the edge of camp where he lay in the shadows, only his ice blue eyes revealing him. His eyes scanned the wolves, his gaze lingering on the Mistypack wolves' expressions.
Aroko studied her out of the corner of his eyes.
"So..." he muttered.
Rasho caught Drakon's eye and he looked almost threatening for a moment.
Talon looked flustered for a moment. "It's nothing. I mean uh, oh never mind. Sorry. Let's just hunt." she barked shaking her head slightly selfconciously. "Where do you want to hunt?" she asked finnally, trying to smile and seem friendly. For the most part she avoided others, and was especially awkward around males.
Drakon was completely indifferent to Rasho's gaze. Drakon feared nobody and let no one make him feel inferior or wrong. Instead, Drakon stood, expecting orders from one of the guards as soon as his presence was noticed.
Aroko laughed.
"Ha ha! Sorry-" his grin faded to a more serious expression. "We all have some thoughts goin' through our heads right now," he murmured quietly. "I didn't mean to put you on the spot..."
Rasho felt annoyance trickle through him. He looked away and almost jumped when he was called by Karuso.
"Yes, alpha?" he stressed the word just little enough to not be too cocky. Karuso ignored it and nodded.
"Find me Oki." he barked. He flexed his shoulders and nodded that that was all. Rasho stiffly dipped his head and left, scenting the air for the young pup's scent. He caught it and then trailed the reddish pup.
"Oh, no, it's not your fault. I'm just nervous with all these guards around. It's.. A long story I don't really want to talk about." Talon barked quickly. She lifted her nose. "I dont smell any elk, do you?@ she asked, trying to sound up beat.
Oki was laying in the corner of the nursery what Rasho came in. "What???" he barked, annoyed.
Aroko didn't completely drop the subject, but he let it alone for a moment as he also scented the air.
"Hmm..no..Let's try that way," he gestured farther towards the grassy fields.
Rasho scowled back at him.
"I didn't choose to come find you," he said sharply. "Don't act so hostile. Karuso wants to talk to you for something..." his voice lowered slightly and he looked almost sympathetic.
"Good luck," he said awkwardly.
Talon nodded. "Okay." she barked, moving in that direction. After a few moments she spotted an elk on the edge of the forest.
Oki perked up. "Karuso? Im not afraid of Karuso. And I don't need luck." He climbed to his paws, trying not to run. As he approached Karuso he bowed readily.
Aroko felt himself drool. Hunger gnawed at his whole body and he dropped instinctivly into a crouch.
Rasho looked slightly surprised but said nothing..
Karuso smiled.
"i have work for you."
(hey, we left some elk behind when we ran towards the commotion. you can bring that back =D)
Her gaze was locked on Karuso as Hikari licked her shoulder, attempting to clean off the blood. When he went with Manah, she turned towards the entrance. She didn't see any of the others coming back. She sat in a daze, unsure of what to think. She could stay silent and watch what would unfold, without a thought. She could even run away from everything...
"If I did that again, there'd be no point in living."She murmmured to herself, bitterly.
Talon stalked closer, hunger forcing her to hold back from wild attack. She lOwered, reaching attack range.
Oki nodded, his head low with respect. "What would you like me to do, alpha?" He was one of the only wolves who truely respected the alpha.
(lol. Forgot!)
Aroko dropped instinctivly into a crouch.
"Can't wait," he murmured half aloud. His whole body craved food and he felt his mouth watering.
Rasho shrugged. Oki was weird sometimes- let him get himself in trouble, what did it matter.
Karuso smiled at Hikari, his eyes slightly narrowed and then he turned his attention to Oki.
"You must go to my pack and tell them not to kill Sako, nanami and whatever the others are." he leaned closer. "But tell them where your freinds are hiding around that territory. The ones who are trying to get them out. Who dumped you!"
Talon Nodded, signaling to go, and kept at the elk, her mouth watering. She bit into its leg, the taste of its blood teporaily distracting her.
Oki nodded. "How will they know not to hurt me?" He asked. "After all, they could think I'm sided with my pack mates."
Aroko lunged, biting into the elk's neck and tearing at the fur and meat. he could taste it already and he hung on as the elk whipped it's head around and bleated with fright and pain.
Karuso nodded thoughtfully.
"Manuh! Go with Oki! He is in charge. Tell them he is not to be harmed." he barked sharply. Manuh looked back in disbelieve at the small redish pup and then stiffly dipped his head.
"Yes, alpha."
Talon hung on and the elk fell, the life leaving its eyes. She let go, looking at the elk wistfully.
The words he is in charge echoed over and over in Oki's head. He grinned, bowing. "Thank you, alpha." he barked, then turned to Munuh, his head high.
(lol. I knew Oki'd get a kick outta being in charge. lolz)
Aroko drooled, adrinaline slamming through him and hunger gnawing at his stomach. He started forwards, ready to eat it whether Karuso killed him or not.
"I don't care- I'm starving-" he gasped as he licked at the blood beside the elk.
Manuh gritted his teeth and wondered just how bad this would be. Just how bad the pup would make it.
"Let's go," he barked sharply. Karuso glanced at Oki to see how the pup would respond.
Rain dragged at the elk that Hikari and the others had caught, dragging it through the forest towards the camp.
Frazko finally returend
"Quick- give him these," he barked, shoving roots at Kurow.
"No!" Talon barked sharply, knocking him aside. "They'll kill you, and anyone who gets in the way! Its not worth it!" She stood over the elk, preparing to keep his away if he tried again.
Oki snarled, hoping he had Karuso's full support. "Dont you DARE you that tone with me! Im in charge, get USED to it! Now," He paused, trying not to grin, "Bow, or life will become REALLY painfull!"
(Oki the evil dictator XD)
Kurow nodded, taking the roots, and opening Reamo's moulth with his paw, but his moulth was cold. Quickly he bent down, listening for a heartbeat or breathing, but he heard nothing, and his body was as cold as his moulth. Kurow stepped away, tears clouding his vision. "He's dead."
Aroko staggered to the side and licked his lips.
"I have to eat something.." he whispered hoarsly. He looked away from the Elk and in a frenzy he tore at the grass at his paws, gulping it down.
(Ahahaha! Oki got the first taste!)
Karuso's face was a partial smirk.
Manuh gritted his teeth and stiffly bowed his neck.
A hushed frozen silence came over them and Saharah felt like sombody had ripped out her very soul and smashed it on the ground.
Kira's lung deflated. She felt the world going numb, silent and dark.
"No." she whispered. "He's not. Not after all this. No...he's not!"
Talon nodded agreeingly. "Just a few more hours..." she barked quietly, looking at the lowered sun.
Drakon watched the pup questioningly. How was it that a pup could get a full grown wolf to bow to him?
Oki snarled menacingly. "To the ground! I want to see your face in the dirt!" (Trust Oki to take it too far.)
Yeti felt the stiff body for a heartbeat, fining none. "He's dead all right." His voice was hollow.
Aroko coughed and almost gagged a tthe t=strong earthy taste but he swallowed another bite. His face felt hot, showing that weakness in front of another wolf.
"I'll survive." he muttered. "Let's get it back to camp.."
Karuso's face now definatly held a smirk.
Manuh glared at Oki fully and growled.
"Don't push your luck, fool." he barked sharply. (Ahh, Oki's shaping up well. Epic plotline.)
Kira shook her head numbly.
"No! This wasn't supposed to happen! He can;t be....I have pups. His pups! No! Yeti-" she staggered to him, her breath coming in sharp strangled breaths. "No! You have to help him! You have to...." sobs shook her body and her head hung low beside the white wolf and the sank to the ground.
Saharah's face was streaked with tears and she stayed where she was. No comforting could help her at this time.
How many more will it take.... she thought silently, screaming a plea towards Starpack--if they were even listening.
"Calm down first." Talon barked, casting a longing look at the elk but not moving.
Oki lunged foreward, grabbing Munuh's snout and pushing his head towreds the groud. "Down. Now!" he snarled.
Shenzi (Aw, poor Shenzi. Her son is turning into an evil dictator. Thats gotta hurt) pressed her head against Frazko's neck, crying. She felt terriable for Kira, unable to imagine what it would be like to loose Frazko.
Yeti fought to remain stotic, hiding his face from emotion. He tried to say something to Kira, but instead nuzzled Saharah.
Kuni looked away guiltily. "Its my fault." He barked to himself, knowing no one could hear him. "If I hadnt been so weak, he would still be alive..."
Aroko nodded and rolled his shoulder and then flexed his muscles.
"I'm fine." he said after a moment. He grasped the hind leg and pulled. With only two wolves it would be a long way back to camp.
(Ahahahahhahaha! Oki's such a little brat. XD)
Manun yelped in pain and shoved Oki off of him but placed his head on the ground and lay down.
(Ha ha. Poor Shenzi..)
Frazko's face was frozen, similar to Yeti's. He let his mate press against him and then solomnly he raised his head and started a long wavering howl; telling of sadness, devestation and hurt that mingled with the song floating out into the forest to the ears of the others. Saharah joined in, tears streaming down her face but her howl unbroken.
Kira didn't try to fight the sobs racking her body. She cried, pressing her face into the ground as the notes of the song filled her mind.
Reamo was gone.
Saharah felt the agonizing pain of the new world they were living in crashing down on her. She let the last notes of her own howl waver away. Tears slipped down her face, but she didn't cry. She turned to Kuni.
"You don't have to tell them anything." she murmured. "Go to Kari. Tell her swiftly. She avenged Reamo's death, she deserves to know..." she broked off, feeling she was beginning to jabber pointlessly.
Frazko's howl still rose and fell over the trees...a mournfull cry, not expected to be answered.
Talon grasped the other leg, regretting her choice to go so far from camp.
Oki nodded, looking to Karuso for approval. "Let's go." he turned and walked out of camp without waiting.
Shenzi raised her head and howled with her mate, the sad note echoing accross the territory.
Kuni nodded, too choked up to say anything. He turned, and walked into camp, finding Kari immeadiatly. He lowered his voice to a whisper, his voice hoarse. "Reamo....he's....dead." he said finnally.
(I just keep cracking up at how Oki's turning out. XD)
Aroko dropped the elk suddenly as he heard the howl.
"Oh no.." he whispered. "Come on, hurry." he grabbed the leg and dragged it furiously towards the camp.
Karuso dipped his head in awknowledgement and turned back, looking for Hikari.
Manuh followed Oki, fury in his eyes and his teeth showing.
Kari's blood froze. No guards were near.
"He..." her sides heaved and she tried to steady herself.
"Kuni- no. I tried to save him...I stopped- It was..." she gasped for breath as the tears poured down her face.
"Kuni!" she sobbed brokenly into his fur, the closeness of him comforting.
Talon nodded quickly, her paws scrambling in the dirt as she tried to pull faster. Her ears were pricked for any more calls.
Oki led with his head high. He approached the area where he ad been before and scented for tribe wolves.
Kuni nuzzled her shyly. "Its not your fault..." he murmered. "You avenged his death! I was the weak one... I couldnt do anything right..." he trailed off, pulling away.
As Aroko dragged the elk into camp he saw Kari sobbing and his heart leapt into his mouth. He started to run towards herbut a guard stopped him.
"Take the elk to the kill pile." he growled. Aroko struggled not to snarl at him and turned sharply, grabbing the elk and hauling it, panting over to the kill-pile where Karuso was waiting.
"It seems your friend got what was coming to him." he remarked with a smirk. Aroko wasn't sure what Karuso meant but he was about to find out.
"Kari! What happened?"
Kari was beside Kuni.
"Kuni, I couldn't save him- you couldn't either. if you had tried...you would've been killed too. It was just chance that I wasn't...." she felt the sobs shaking her body and Aroko came over, asking what had happened.
"They-they killed R-reamo." Kari whispered in a choked voice.
Talon wheeled around, teeth bared, after she found out what had happened. "'Got what was coming to him'??? Dont you DARE talk about Reamo like that! He was a hero. He saved each and every wolf in the pack's life at least once!" She turned away, biting her toungue out of annoyance over her own words, but she didnt regret what she said.
Kuni was silent for a moment, thinking. "Maybe." he murmered. "Still, I should have done something." He turned away, afraid to look at her. "Poor Reamo..."
The guard snarled and smacked her face, sending her reeling.
"Nobody speaks to me like that!" he snarled. "Remember your place, fool!"
"He lived a good life." Aroko muttered after a moment. Trying to keep the sadness from welling up to strong. "He was brave..." he turned away.
Talon stumbled to the ground, yelping in suprise. She stood up, keeping her weight off one paw where she had landed wrong. "Hurt me or insult me, but dont talk about Reamo that way!" She snarled coldly.
Kuni stood up straighter. "I guess I need to tell his pups... And Storm is missing... This has to be so hard on Kira." He turned, walking to the den where the pups played. He swallowed. "Pups...Reamo... he's dead." He turned away, unable to look at their faces.
The guard smirked and turned, going to the elk and tearing at the meat with relish.
Destiny's face was frozen with fear and horror. There was a moment's silence.
"...where's mom..." she whispered hoarsly.
Oki scented, and walked into a clearing where a guard stood. he raised his head. "I am Oki from Mistypack, and I have a message from Karuso!"
Talon clenched her teeth and tune away angrily.
"She's in the clearing where... The guard killed Reamo." Kuni managed to choke out.
Sky hid his head in his paws, sobbing.
The wolves turned and look incredulesly at the small reddish pup.
"From *you*? Hah! WHat does he say?"
Destiny's face was frozen and she got up and walked towards Kira.
Hikari froze. She had listened to wolves in hushed voices. Reamo was dead. She turned around and walked silently to a quiet spot in the back of camp. She stood out of sight, her head lowered and against atree. Helplessness and shock overwhelmed her. Reamo is dead, Kira could be punished, and the pups...She felt overwhelmed. She hated keeping quiet, but right now she didn't think speaking out would put the pack in a good position. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them out.
(BTW: Kari's the one who might be punished--not Kira. lol)
Rain silently padded over to Hikari and leaned against her, crying softly. No words needed to be said.
"Yes, actually. And Munuh is here to support that." Oki barked his head cocked. Karuso said not to kill the capture wolves --Sako, Storm, and my siter, Nanami." Oki put extra venom on the word sister. "Also, I can show where the wolves coming to rescue them are hiding."
Sky followed is sister at first, but ended up running to the clearing and huddling against Kira, eyes wide.
The wolf stared at Manuh and then back at Oki.
"Whatever, tell me where. I'll go get them." he barked commandingly. Manuh rolled his eyes, knowing Oki would probably act "stupid" again, as he put it in his mind.
Kira shushed her pup and hugged him tight, trying to stifle her tears.
"It'll be okay," she beconed to destiny.
Hikari felt Rain's presence as the she-wolf came next to her. A long period of silence seemed to follow, finally broken by Hikari's sigh. Tears flowed from her eyes and Hikari nuged Rain's neck to perhaps comfort her. "Why does this have to happen. Why can't these other wolves just leave us in peace...I don't want any more blood spilled." Hikari said, her voice cracked from her silent grief.
(ok i came up with something XD)
*pads out of a moss covered cave when hears solem howling* What's going on? *runs swiftly back to camp and notices everyone huddled together with either a sad expression or crying* Oh no *gently pushes through to see Reamo lying still* Reamo...
*imediatly turns out of the crowd and, as always, turns her sadness into anger* looks like I'll be going back to my cave for a bit of anger releasing. *runs back to cave*
"I will lead you there." Oki barked, matching the wolves commanding tone. He turned, leading for a minute before stopping and whispering. "Their in a strong smelling bush up ahead next to an oak tree. Surround them, then Ill go in an flush them out." He grinned excitedly, glad to be getting back the wolves who had abandoned him.
Sky pulled away. "What about Storm...? Will she ever know? Will we see her again? We dont even know if she's alive...." He trailed off, turning away, looking up at the sky. "Maybe she's in Starpack with Reamo..."
