Karuso nodded to Hikari and turned back to the great rock.
"WOLVES OF MISTYPACK!" he bellowed. The wolves turned and looked up at him, automatically bowing but still defiant. The alpha glanced around for effect and then spoke.
"From now until I am no longer alpha, no two wolves of the same or of opposite gender are permited to walk, hunt, or stay together in the same den without a guard withen a tailslength beside them!!" shocked glanced greeted him and several guards were already mingling with the pack. Jaws were hanging open in astonishment.
"Also I have chosen the new Healer."

Story So Far (SSF):
When complications hit Mistypack, Saharah (the alpha) decided to take instant action against the invading uprights, shortage of food and overall bad territory. They then put some distance between that territory (around 200 miles worth) even with the new pups of the alphas and betas. Long story short, an enemy wolf was recruited, then turned against them and became alpha by force. Terror and bad times followed his reign and a battle is currently raging.
Kuni and Kari's story can be followed at the Fresh Kill link below the chat box on the right sidebar.
An uprising started by Sako surged through the pack and they revolted against the guards. The battle is raging and wolves from both sides are falling. Who will triumph? Add your attacks to the battle by commenting in the newest post!

"What about wolves who are mates?" Shenzi called out angrily.
Kurow saw Hikari come out of Karuso's den, and desperately wanted to ask about what had happened, but knew know wasn't the time.
Drakon say alone in the shadows, almost completely hidden. He resisted a laugh. The rest of the pack was all up in arms over the new rule; he knew it would barely affect him.
Karuso glared down at her.
"Even then!" he snarled with an evil smile.
(Drakon's fun.)
"THE NEW HEALER IS RAWEN!" he bellowed. Rawen froze, his eyes darting to find Sky's reaction to this news.
No! Why me!?
Shenzi quieted immediately. "I wonder how long this is going to work out..." She whispered to no one in perticulaur.
(Drakon rocks)
Something snapped inside Sky. Though he didn't like his brother much and loved the idea of not being healer, he shouted out anyways. "Can't you just leave our family alone?!? Our father was just killed, and you just had our sister killed! Dont you know when to stop???"
Hikari felt rage seem to boil inside her from the alpha's announcement. What was he doing? She growled so only Karuso could hear her, "Do you think this will make ANYTHING better? How far are you willing to stretch the limits of a fragile border? Do you WANT to start a war?" Her thoughts drifted to images of a certain wolf.^^
(lol)
Karuso turned to her and for once spoke sharply
"I will do as I see fit." he barked.
He glared at Sky.
"SILENCE!!" he snarled. Manuh cuffed Sky and sent him sprawling.
"THESE ARE MY RULES AND IF THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWED YOU WILL SUFFER!"
His challenge echoed out past the camp and over the canyons. His fur stood on end and his chest was out. His tail stood straight up and he glared around, his whole body a challenge.
Sky yelped in pain as he tumbled to the ground. "Rawen knows nothing about being a healer, and I've been training for moons! He knows how to hunt and fight, I don't. How is it a good idea to make him healer and not me?" he barked as he stood, trying to stay calm.
Oki sat at the base of the rock, looking up at Karuso sadley. The wolf who he looked up to, who had given him everything, was using him to do his dirty work. On top of that, Karuso was making desisions and rule without any rhyme or reason other than angering the pack. Oki longed to speak out, to say something to stop Karuso, but was too scared. Instead he slunk around the hatching of wolves and into his den, his head low.
Drakon's icy gaze was locked on Oki as he slunk into the den. "He's finally realizing..." he spoke softly to himself. He saw that a few other wolves had noticed the you betas departure.
"Oki! Come!" he called sharply. An evil smile flooded his face.
"Show your scumbag of a brother what pain really means," he growled, his head low and his eyes gleaming with an evil light.
(I thought Oki would only realize after the battle when he had made a huge mistake...and then confront Karuso and...
...?)

(I thought Oki would only realize after the battle when he had made a huge mistake...and then confront Karuso and...
...?)
(He's starting to realize it, but Karuso will do something to get his loyalty back before a battle.)
Oki turned around. "My brother? Who, Kuni? Or Manpuku? Neither seem to be doing anything wrong to me." he barked innocently.
Hikari took a trembling breath before stepping forward, half infront of Karuso. She felt as if she were swaying. Her breathing came out rapidly before snarling at him. "No more of this! I will agree on being your mate if you stop all this nonsense! I'll advise that any ounce more of your foolish decisions will lead to chaos BEYOND your control."Hikari clenched her teeth, her breath coming out raggedly. SHe didn't want a bloodbath to start...if it could be in her power, she'd try saving as many lives as she could. Even if it meant cutting ties with all the wolves she had known. Even if it meant cutting ties with Kurow...She would try her hardest to protect them all. Even if it was futile.
(I forgot where Endure is at...wasn't she with your wolf Aleta?)
(Yup, we were going to pay our respects to Storm, She we start with us finding out that storm isn't dead or go ahead to the cave which Shur`tugal was gonna show Endure.)
"I wonder where the grave ended up..." Shur`tugal said quietly.
or
"Come on it's this way," Shur`tugal said nervously.
(depending on where we want to start the "scene")
(oks, ty! Lets go to the cave)
Endure looked around, and gave Shur'tugal a nod. "Alright, Shurry. Lead the way..."Her voice was still tinged with sadness. Storm wasn't coming back. That was a fact. But it was up to her to decide whether to act upon her death or not.
(im not sure whats really going on but I'll do my best XD)
For once Ren was silent. His usual hyper demeanor had dissolved with Karuso's words. "What does he think he's doing?!" he growled to himself, "What exactly will that help him achieve!?"
(kk! XD)
"Here it is!" Shur`tugal revealed proudly. No matter how you looked at it from the outside it was just a normal cave, but as they entered the cave and took a right there was a large cavern with other rooms branching off. "There are so many holes in the ceiling that there is a decent amount of light in here. I use this cave as a training place. There is enough room for like 3 Mistypacks in here!" Shur`tugal chattered excitedly. Se was rarely this excited- even around Endure.
(secrets out! Shur`tugal has been training in the cave. yup alot lamer than what you guys thought right? XD the cave can now be used in any sort of way but this is how Shur`tugal plans to be prepared if anyone starts a revolt. Im probably not gonna make her start it because you guys might have other plans and so im making Shur`tugal feel inconfident that she start it)
(Dont't worry,we'll help you out Sharpmoon! Its nice to have more ppl.)
Endure looked at the cave with awe. Shur'tugal...she had known about this cave for so long! Lucky little pup. The discovery of this cave could help them out in so many ways! Yes...yes!
"Shurry this is amazing! We have think about how this can be used to our advantage against those slobbery tribal mutts!" Endure couldn't keep the excitement from flooding out of her composure. It was so unlike her...but Endure couldn't care less. She felt like pup who caught its first rabbit!
(love the reaction!)
The excitement inside Shur`tugal was building up. "I've explored and know this place by heart so thats good. But other than training what could we do?" Shur`tugal asked, then she relized, "What if we store food in here and we can train and even hide the exciled wolves!" Then Shur`tugal calmed herself and forced herself to think reasonably. "There are a few problems though... we don't know all the wolves on our side. That could be a problem if we accidently lead someone from Karuso's side here. I wouldn't mind killing one of his fleabag guards but..." Shur`tugal waited to see if Endure understood what she was saying.
(nice, Aleta!)
(That's fine, Sharpmoon.)
Karuso glared at Oki. (I meant Sky, not his brother. Stupid me. XD)
(Pretend he didn't say that.)
"You watch what you say or I'll show you what pain really is." he growled to all who had spoken. "OKI! COME!"
He turned to Hikari.
"No. They will learn to accept me as Alpha!" he snarled. "And you will become my mate no matter what you wish, so get over it." he ended with a growl and glared at her.
Sako bristled at the alpha's last words and felt his hackles automatically raise on his back and his head went down in a threatening posture. His pulse was racing. he glanced at Kurow's reaction.
(I just had to seize the moment.)
Oki turned, trotting to Karuso. "Yes, alpha?"
Kurow froze. No... Though he was generally a non-violent wolf, he had to resist the urge to leap at Karuso and rip his throat out.
Karuso gave Kurow an icy look. With his own training he would easily be able to take the pack member so he wasn't worried.
"It is custom that the new beta makes a decree," he whispered to Oki. He bent lower and hissed,
"It's time to get back the ones who abandoned you in the snow. Who left you for dead. Who ignored you and insulted you. It's your time, Oki. You are the powerful one now!"
Oki thought for a moment. "They'll be my personal servant for a moon. Does that sound good?" He whispered to Karuso.
Karuso looked at him with astonishment.
"It's your decition. If you think that's enough." he said.
(I dont remember exactly who was there...)
Oki turned to the pack and raised his voice. "When I was a young pup, I was abandoned by ****insert name of wolves here****. Therefor, as a punishment, they will be my personal servants for as long as I desire before I choose the either exile or kill them."
Rawen's jaw dropped and Sako stared up in disbelief. (idk who the third person was....Uhm..must have been OH It was Manpuku, i believe.)
Rawen gaped for a moment.
"No way," he breathed. Sako glared at the runt.
"Hah! You're the fool who ran off, stupid! You should've stayed with us. It's your own fault you got all scared by your own sha-" hsi voice broke off as a guard slammed a stick into his side by holding it with his teeth.
"UNH!" Sako fell the the ground and blood dripped form his side.
(Ill go with Manpuku. Its just easier that way.)
Manpuku was shocked. Oki -his own brother- was proclaiming his punishment and eventual end.
"You moved to fast and left me behind. If anything Sako, Id say it was you who set the pace." His tone made it clear that when he was through with using them as servants, they would be killed.
Sako staggered to his paws and teh Guard grinned as Sako had to grit his teeth each time he breathed in.
"Y-you're the one with the sh-short legs!" he coughed.
"Do you expect anything more from a pup? You invited a pup in the first place. I regard that as irresponible behavior from the beginning. And I need to make sure you learn that you must take care of pups. After all, I could have been attacked and killed." Oki barked calmly.
Sako glowered firmly back at him.
"You know nothing." he growled. Several wolves held their breath. "You have no idea what I've been through." he snarled. (oh, major blooper. He was the one imprisoned. Delta was the one leading.... oh well. T.T)
"My...You know nothing!" he spat again, dropping what he was gonna say(with a thump and staring at the mass of words in the dirt.)
"'Your'...?" Oki asked. "Id like to hear more of that. Maybe Ill lessen your punishment and any harm to your family." He narrowed his eyes, signalling for the guard to attack if he did not answer.
(Oh well. Who cares.)
Sako glared at him.
"Mind your own! You'll have enough trouble staying rebelry!" he snarled, gasping in pain as the guard prodded him.
(ah, poor Sako.)
"I guess Ill just have to extend your term as servant." Oki barked, watching the guard prob him happily.
(LOL, I knew Oki would like that!)
Sako glared his full furocity at him.
"As i it would have been shorter! You'll kill us all anyway!"
"Maybe I wont If you can finish your previous sentance. Ill may even remove all punishment from Delta." Oki barked, figuring that he would sooner help his brother before himself.
Sako paused. He knew Oki would know that he would sooner help his brother than himself.
He hesitated again before answering.
"Nothing, I was ust saying 'My family has had more hardships than yours has,'" he said cooly, putting on a struggling, forcefull sound to his words.
"Speaking of that, Yeti is missing. Anyone who finds them will be rewarded." Oki barked to the entire pack, turning away. "Your brother is still my servent, as are you and Manpuku."
Sako snorted.
"Yeah, did you seriously think that your pathetic attempt to make me give information I would believe you?! HAH!"
"Oh, Im quite true to my word, Sako. You just cost your brother his life." Oki barked, oviously finished with the conversation.
(Want to move on to Saharah and Yeti? We need to do SOMETHING with them)
Sako felt a chill run through him but his face didn't change.
"Power doesn't buy you everything, Oki! Remember that!"
"Maybe not, but an answer could buy your brother's life." Oki barked without turning around.
Sako shook his head incredulously with narrowed eyes.
"Yeah, right." he spat on the ground. "Coward."
Oki didnt respond, but instead slunk into his den.
Karuso nodded that they all could leave and also turned to his den.
(*sigh....*)
Shenzi turned, as if to say something to Frazko, but immeadiatly a guard snarled at her. She backed away slowly, looking to Frazko for help.
(All I could think of...)
Frazko snarled back at the guard.
"They didn't say we couldn't talk, you just have to be there!" he glared. He stepped beside his mate and nuzzled her.
"We'll-" he was inturrrupted with a drawling growl.
"No whispering."
Shenzi nuzzled him, frustrated. She wanted to talk, but felt as if she couldnt with the guard so close. Instead she sayed silent, selfconsious of the guard watching her every move.
Frazko glared at the guard angrily from over Shenzi's shoulder.
One of the guards frowned slightly. Why weren't two wolves aloud to talk? With a word he dismissed the current guard watching Shenzi and Frazko, and sat within earshot but with his back to them, trying to give them as much privacy as possible. (why not a few rebel guards? Or at least one or two who try to help the pack) (This is one of my guards from the other page, Fenrir)
(Coolz)
Frazko's face showed slight surprise at this but he said nothing, just hugged his mate.
Hikari shook her head slowly. She felt as dead as ever. She looked up to give Kurow a look of utter defeat. It was as if the reality of the world had again become a nightmare for her.
"Enjoy your reign while it lasts," she said bitterly before heading off in a secluded area. She'd let her fever subside before doing anything.
Karuso stared after her and laughed in a menacing way.
"I will, Hikari. I most certainly will. Ha ha!"
Shenzi didn't notice the guard switch, but after a moment stepped away from Frazko. "This is just... So hard.... It has to end soon... I don't think I can handle much more..."
Kurow watch Hikari helplessly. He was afraid to say anything with the new rule, especcially with Karuso guarding her in perticulaur do closely
Frazko nodded.
"I know it's hard," he murmured. He thought about how her pups, just born, had been thrown heartlessly over the edge of a cliff without another thought, and the one remaining had become a fool of a beta. Oki was no longer his son. The very name set his mouth in a snarl now. Oki had crossed the line.
" I was so happy that one pup had survived... Now I wish that he had been thrown over the cliff with his siblings..." Shenzi barked softly.
The guard freezes momentarily. Thrown over a cliff?
Frazko made no comment. The anger in his eyes he knew would be too much for his mate. Even though that fool was a tyrant, it was still her pup. He turned his face away and his muscles tensed when he spotted Oki in his den.
He glowered at the guard.
"Yes, a black wolf threw all of our pups off the cliff edge by the river." he spat, his ears flattened. At least the guard was an excuse to be furious.
The guard lowered his head in sadness. "I am very sorry for your loss." he barked. "I can't imagine what would make any wolf want to do that."
Shenzi looked at the guard, confused. She had expected something cruel, not a caring statement not too dissimilair to her packs responses.
Frazko's hackles went down and he blinked in bewilderment.
"Why would you care?" he growled. "You're one of them!"
"Stereotypes." The guard snorted before replying. "I'm not one of them- I'm on your side. My name is Fenrir."
Frazko stiffly bowed his head slightly.
"I'm Frazko," he said between gritted teeth.
Fenrir cocked his head slightly, confused, considering what he had told him. He had revealed that they had a wolf who could get inside information for them, and help in ways they couldnt, and that was the response he got? He shrugged slightlyand turned to Shenzi. "And you?"
"Shenzi" Shenzi barked plainly.
"Hmm. Nice to meet you both." Fenrir replied with a nod.
Frazko glared at him.
"I'm not stupid, Fenrir" he growled, glaring at the guard. "You could easily be trying to get information of rebelry from us. Well you won't get any!"
"So what? I can go run to the dumb pup or Karuso? So I can watch wolves die who havent done anything wrong, knowing I caused it? Ha!" Fenrir snorted, somewhat angry but trying to supress it. He was risking his life to help, and this wolf had the audacity to doubt him?
(Im basing Fenrir off of a certain very well known book/TV character. I havent quite gottten how all figured out, but if anyone can guess correctly Ill be shocked.)
(I don't watch a ton of tv. Ony like, Psych and Burn Notice. Yeah, only those. Shawn rules!)
Frazko glared at him.
"Anybody could say that. I could say I love Oki. I could say he's my....kin."
(EVERYONE knows this character)
"Luckily, I knew you would doubt me. Therefor, I offer my rebuttle: Shenzi will remember me from your fight against Talhopack. After the tan wolf ingured her eye and was going in for the other, I charged him and knocked him away. He grabbed my leg and broke it, but turned for some easier prey." he held out his leg, which was heavily wounded.
Shenzi blinked in awe. "I do remember you..."
(hmm. I give up, who?)
Frazko glared from Shenzi to Fenrir.
"What? Who is he." he barked.
(Ill tell you soon. I want to wait until I develpoe Fenrir a bit more, then youll go 'OH I get it!' sort of thing)
Shenzi shrugged slightly. "I dont know, other than the fact that he was there. I ment to thank him afterwards, but he was gone." She turned to Fenrir quickly. "Were you with Talhopack?"
"No, just visiting." Fenrir replied smoothly. "Thought Id stop and help out."
(lol, odds are I won't, then I'll be the only one. XD)
Frazko stared at his mate being so friendly with this stranger.
"He's probably a spy!" he growled, almost protestingly.
A female glanced over and swished her tail as she swaggered over.
"Not telling pack secrets, are you Fenrir?" she drawled in a innocently questioning tone. Feathers decorated her pretty fur. She was one of the head guards.
(Plot alert!)
"Secrets?" Fenrir barked innocently. "You know me better than that. After all, If you say anything that qualifies as a secret, the entire pack will know it in a matter of minutes, and that wouldn't be good, would it?" His tone was calm and playful and light, though he lingired sadley over a few words. Though he always sounded upbeat, it was obviously an effort for him.
Shimmer, the young female guard, laughed a tinkling laugh but her eyes were glinting dangerously. (Any moment now they might take on a life of their own and come shooting out of her skull. Revenge of the eyes!!!!!!!) Her face grew serious.
"I rank over you, Fenrir. Keep yourself in check before I have to." she growled.
(Wanna bring Ace in the story?)
Frazko felt a strange chill run up his back as her eyes stared deep into Fenrir's.
Fenrir matched her cold gaze. "You know better than to doubt me." He barked calmly.
Shimmer showed her sharp fangs and then turned with another swish of her tail and sauntered off, barking annoyingly at Yeti
"No paw-touching, nuzzling or talking to your mate!" even though Saharah wasn't around.
Yeti, who waslaying on the side of camp, resting, muttered, "Like I'd want to."
Fenrir rolled his eyes.
Fenrir turned back to Shenzi and Frazko as if nothing had happened. "So...do you trust me?" He barked calmly. She doesn't obviously, but that's not new."
Hikari fell asleep.
Endure nodded her head in agreement with Shur'tugal. "I'll ask Kurow or Drakon what we should do and opinons on WHO we can trust. I don't think any wolf can last much longer living with the maggot tribe."
Frazko glared at Fenrir, one paw raised as he half turned the oposite direction, beconing to Shenzi to follow.
"Would you trust a mountain lion to care for your pups?" he growled. He turned, nodding for his mate to follow and stalked away.
Rain glanced up as she exited the trees into a clearing.
"Shur`tugal! Endure! What are you doing here?" she nearly yelped.
Fenrir sighed, shaking his head slightly. He'd have to talkto some other wolves from the former Mistypack, trying to explain his cause.
Shenzi lingered for a moment, watching Fenrir, before following her mate. "Id trust a mountain lion to take care of Oki." she muttered quietly as she walked.
Frazko heard this and huffed.
"I'd rather murder him myse-" he shut his mouth and mentally cuffed himself. It was still Shenzi's pup and probably painful for her. He imagined his own paws smacking him for such a mistake.
Shoot. he thought, angrily. He flipped his ears backwards slightly to catch any sound from Shenzi. Maybe she hadn't heard.
Frazko heard this and huffed.

"Oh, Id be happy to take care of him..." Shenzi barked quietly. "I just cant think of him as my own any more...He's done nothing to deserve it..."
Frazko shut his mind down. Nothing about Oki made him proud to have fathered him. Oki was dissowned. He was dead as a son to Frazko, but wholly alive as an enemy. (I get kudos for using the word "wholly")
He continued walking. A guard snarled at them, "Where do you think you're going??" it snarled, standing in his path. He automatically bowed, not wanting trouble, and muttered he was going hunting.
"Has Oki approved?" the guard snarled nastily. Frazko kept his eyes on the ground, still in a bow.
"Do I need permission to feed the pack?" he asked quietly. The guard snarled and cuffed Frazko. Frazko felt the sting and blood even trickled down his face, possibly from his eye, but inside he felt only a dead quiet.
"Fool! Don't talk back to me! OKI! HAS THIS WOLF BEEN APPROVED TO HUNT?" he shouted to Oki.
Through the numbness Frazko felt a stirring anger, gentle at first, like the lapping waves of a lake, but he knew if kindled well, it would grow to a torrent, a wild ocean without boundaries.
(Wow, my writing style just improved with my weird mood. Nice.)
"He can hunt." Oki barked back boredly. "A few other wolves can hunt too. Unless you plan to gohungry tonight."
Frazko let his ears stay pinned to his head and his tail tucked tightly inward.
The guard nodded.
"Yes, Beta!" he barked with a small bow. He turned to Frazko and nodded that he could go. As Frazko stood and began to walk the guard glared and spat at him and then paced away. Frazko broke into a trot then a run. Anything to get away from this place.

Shenzi sat, watching him go. She despratly wished she could go to, instead she was stuck at camp. She turned away, sitting down and staring at the sky.
"R-Rain! How did you find this place?" Endure asked her, surprisd, before masking her expression in her usual scowl. Rain technically wasn't a friend or a foe, only an aquantince. The speckled wolf didn't know what to think about her sudden appearence.
Rain looked slightly taken aback by the unwarm welcoming.
"I could ask you the same thing," she barked.
(Rain acedentally morphed into a young fool of a wolf who is hyper, sensitive and flighty. T.T I have to work on that.)
