Story So Far (SSF):

When complications hit Mistypack, Saharah (the alpha) decided to take instant action against the invading uprights, shortage of food and overall bad territory. They then put some distance between that territory (around 200 miles worth) even with the new pups of the alphas and betas. Long story short, an enemy wolf was recruited, then turned against them and became alpha by force. Terror and bad times followed his reign and a battle is currently raging.

Kuni and Kari's story can be followed at the Fresh Kill link below the chat box on the right sidebar.

An uprising started by Sako surged through the pack and they revolted against the guards. The battle is raging and wolves from both sides are falling. Who will triumph? Add your attacks to the battle by commenting in the newest post!

Uprising

Sako raced through the forest, his paws pounding the earth. Adrinaline and excitement surged through him as it never had before. The storm brewing overhead caused his fur to feel sticky with tension. He dodged trees and leapt across rocks. His energy never ebbed the whole way to the camp. As he arived he saw a patrol of Mistypack wolves exiting to hunt and he gestured them to follow, which they did, shocked that he was alive. He silenced their whispered questions with a flick of his ears and slid back to the back area of the camp where the majority of wolves were. Delta was lying by the edge of the camp, waiting for Sako. He knew Kra had gone after him and he was sure he'd be the first to hear.
"Delta, the uprising's begun!" Sako hissed in his ear, barely sheltered in the small brush around him. Delta didn't move his head but a smile spread across his face along with grim detirmination.
"I'll spread the word, brother." he murmured and stood up, streching casually and strolling over to Hikari.
"The uprising has begun. Spread the word to another and meet behind the sand pit," he muttered in her ear. He then turned and saw several guards eyeing him so he pretended to sniff the measely kill pile and say something about hunting before he leapt out towards where Sako, the hunting party, Kra and more wolves were joining.
Karuso lounged on his rock, his eyes half closed. Everything was beyond perfect. A guard was grooming his fur. He saw Delta automatically knowing to keep the kill pile full for his leader and smiled slightly. They were finally submitting to him.
Nothing was further from the truth.
~
Kra and Sako were hastily explaining to the wolves who were going to go on patrol; Kurow, Endure, Aroko, Rawen and Storm. When they had finished, the light of battle was already shining in their eyes. Rawen stepped forward with a slight bow.
"I'll fight till my last breath, Sako!" he declared. Sako felt his fur grow hot and he blinked.
"Don't bow to me, Rawen," he muttered. "I'm not your alpha or anything. I'm just, well..." a grin played at the corners of his mouth. "leading the whole pack into battle."
~
Almost the whole pack was gathered behind the sand pits. Other had stayed so as not to arouse to much suspicion.
"Sako! When do we plan to attack?"
Sako rose his head as a flash of lightning flashed above and the first drops of water began to fall. His next words were bellowed into the dark sky and across the mountains around them.
"MISTYPACK, ATTAAAAACK!"

(right before the attack)

Hikari's eyes lit up with surprise as Delta whispered the news to her. Had Kra and Fenrir freed Sako so soon? Nerves that had been dorment within her blood now jumped frantically through her systems.
There was one thing that needed to be done before the revolt could carry out without too many flaws. The chain of command needed to be broken. Hikari switched her eyes over to the alpha, sitting all the way across camp. The white wolf closed her eyes before standing up herself. She circled the camp slowly, whispering the news to those that were still unaware of the coming battle. Her informing was very sly, and even a wolf of her intellegence would have trouble discerning if anything was amiss. When Hikari finished, she sat on the edge of camp. Waiting.

(Start of battle)

Endure's devilish grin would be able to made any wolf shudder as she raced through the brush and exploded into the camp. The first victim didn't know what was coming. All of her rage was excercised through her vicious attacks. She had jumped on a light gray male, digging her fangs deeper and deeper into the guard. Blood poured out, splattering the female with the scarlet liquid. But she didn't care...they had killed too many of her packmates for her to care anymore. The wolf under her struggled and whimpered, until giving up. She released her opponent and looked around her - her eyes were cold and threatening.

(feel free to role play guards!! Remember, they have insane training that nearly killed Mistypack at first before they surrendered, so play realistic--BUT KILL 'EM ALL!!! XD)

Sako leapt over the bushes as the pack erupted into action, all going for the guard's throats. Many of the guards were to startled to react much but others were ready. Sako spotted Manuh, the wolf who had killed Reamo and his blood seemed to boil. He lunged, slamming into the large wolf who grunted in pain and then whirled, matching Sako's hard training with his own aged expirance.
BOOM! Thunder sent a bellow across the sky as lightning flashed throughout the darkness; making the battle even more terrifying. Rain was pouring heavily and making the ground wet. The snarls and screeches filled the air, filling some with terror, others with adrinaline.
~
Karuso was in his den, hovering out of the way.
"Oki!" he snarled. "Attack them! Use your training!!" he gave the reddish pup a shove.

Hikari leaped at one of the guard's, her fangs narrowly missing her intended target. The guard snarled and snapped at her shoulder as she managed sink her teeth into some sort of neck skin. But it was futile. The dark pelted wolf gave a massive heave and threw her almost a foot away from him. Hikari let out a small whine when she thumped against the floor, yet she quickly stumbled upwards, facing her opponent once more. He gave a victorious smirk, well aware of how weak the white wolf was. Hikari started to panic inwardly. The guard suddenly darted forwards and rammed into her. Her body was thrust back while claws and daggers scored down her neck and flanks. Hikari gasped and flailed her legs in attempt to dislodge the wolf. She successfully, by mere luck, scratched the wolf's right eye. He howled with pain and loosened his grip on her. Adrenaline rushed through her veins and the white wolf thrust herself out of the way, panting with exhaustion. "Is that all you got, you rat?" She growled, her blood flowing from her wounds. Scarlet soon stained the white icy crystals beneath her.

The war had just begun.

Oki nodded, his teeth bared, and leapt at Fenrir. The older wolf, caught by surprise, was knocked to the ground. With a hard bite, Oki grabbed onto Fenrir's leg, and he yelped in pain, unable to get free. All of the sudden, two wolves entered the camp at blazing speed: one sleek gray, one large white with a loping, limp for a run. The grey threw Oki off of Fenrir, and the white attacked Karuso with ferocious skill. Oki's eyes widened as he recognized his attacker. "Storm!" He gasped. (I needed to find some way to bring Storm and Yeti back, of course.)

Kurow appeared next to Hikari, throwing her attacker with his speed, not his strength. "You okay?" He panted.

Zoraz said...

Karuso snarled, throwing the white wolf from him and running from the camp.
"KILL THEM ALL, GUARDS!" he bellowed as he ran. Sako spat in disgust.
"Coward!" he barely had time to say before he lunged, attacking a guard who was sillohetted by the lightning flashes. The feathers and blood in his fur made him look terrifying.
"GRAH!" Sako leapt and struck, fighting with everything he had, using all the training he had ever learned and all the skills he had taught himself.
_
Manuh bellowed into the night sky, pure fury erupting through him. He grabbed Saharah by her side and threw her against the oak in the camp. Saharah heard a crack but seemingly felt no pain as her vision went red. Her head had a faint aching throb, but everything suddenly felt peacfull and she let her head fall back onto the grass beside her, her eyes glazed.
"NO!" Delta bellowed, time seeming to freeze as he saw his mom's head crack against the huge tree. He narrowed his eyes with blinding madness and lunged at Manuh, managing to grasp him by the throat.
Lighning crashed overhead as the storm reached it's full peak, seeming to mimic the battle below. Rain poured in torrents with the fierce wind down upon the wolves. The sound of battle was deafening.

Kiokami said...

Yeti watched as Saharah hit the ground, and his sight tunnel-visioned. He threw off a guard who had attacked his. And raced across the clearing, plowing head first through guards in his path. He nudged at the fallen wolf before standing over her, attacking anyone who got near.

Storm and Oki fought with strength and vengeance, both unable to get the upper hand. All of the sudden, Oki fainted away from Storms leap, and bit hard on the back of her neck. The gray she-wolf fell to the ground, bleeding heavily. Oki leaned over, moving to kill her but taking his time.

Zoraz/Saharah/Owner said...

Kra, Fenrir and a few others were doing the best at attacking since all the guards thought they were fighting with them. Kra was snarling, a blur of wet brown fur covered in red. He spotted a wolf about to lunge at Yeti and in several leaps he slammed into him hard.
"Fool! What do you think you're-" the guard was sharply cut off as Kra slashed his throat and bit into his windpipe. He nodded at Yeti, glanced at Saharah and then was knocked down by another guard who had seen him and was fighting with all his might again.
~
Delta faught Manuh with every ounce of strength he had. He twisted, he slashed, he bit, he scraped- he dodged and turned, he leapt and swept his paws out from under him. He was an equal match for the deadly wolf. They snarled as if they had gone mad. Delta's anger rose past the breaking point. Manuh had possibly killed his mother--this wolf would die if it was the last thing he did! He felt the blows but the adrenaline he had by now numbed his body. For the first time since training he was able to use every trick and maneuver he had ever learned. This was a fight to the death.
~
Rawen spotted Oki and lunged over, his sister beside him as they leapt across the battleground. Rawen crashed into Oki with a staggering blow. He was bigger than the red wolf and also older. He snarled.
"Get away from her, you flea-bitten TRAITOR!" he bellowed, his hackles raised through his wet fur and his ears pinned against his head.

Yeti flipped the guard off of Kra and into the mud, biting down at the back of its neck. Without pause he turned to another gaurd who had come to close to where Saharah lay, his white fur stained in blood and mud to the point where he was almost unrecognizable. His useless leg hardley seemed to be slowing him down.

Oki jumped to his paws, and with a glance at Storm, who was passed out on the ground, leaped at Rawen, and grabbed onto the scruff of hisneck.

Shenzi was fighting a guard much larger than her. She founght hard, coving her blind side with her speed. Suddenly, the guard caught her with his teeth, ripping a gash over her good eye, blood pouring down her face and blinding her. She stumbled back a step, but the guard threw her to the ground she she yelped in pain.

"Y-yea, thanks." Hikari coughed feebly to Kurow. It was already apparent that the wounds she recieved made her breathing shallow and shaky. "We-we need to find Karuso. He's must be p-planning something! If his pack loses than there's nothing for him to gain and -" She was suddenly interrupted by a guard's body that rammed into her side. The surprise lasted for only a moment. The other wolf had her pinned against the ground, but Hikari snarled furiously and lashed out with her fangs at the she-wolf's lower neck, irritated at the other wolf's timing. The warm, metalic taste of blood oozed onto her tounge and Hikari's blue eyes seemed to darken. With an effort to not look helpless or defeated in front of Kurow she pushed the wolf off of her, claws scraping the flesh of the guard. She then managed to free herself and jumped up, rage and impatience building on the fire of her heart.
"Kurow, a battle is not won by strength, its won by stratagy! If Karuso is killed, then wolves will panic or disperse, giving us the upper hand - and we also need every wolf to pair up and not fight alone! Its key we keep together!" Her voice was muted by the wind and downpour, but Hikari knew he heard. She let her eyes rest on Kurow one last time before turning away, back into the thick of the bloody battle. Her white fur was hugging her skin, drenched with rain, blood and mud.

Endure howled viciously as she darted around fighting wolves, her vision red like blood. She saw Oki could feel her blood boil as her eyes remained fixated on Oki. Within seconds she let her own body ram against the traitor of the pack, sparking an intresting amount of surprise from the younger wolf. She then jumped back and cackled, "Hey Rawen, I know I'm not fond of you, but save me some room for this meal!I want to skin him alive and feed him to the buzzards!" Her hot, fiery temper seemed more deadly than it had been in a long while. And after this cat was down, she thought that she'd just have to go take down that monster who called himself Karuso.

The guard snarled at Yeti with a insane grin on his face.
"Give it up, scum" he sneered at Yeti as he leapt at him.

Rawen spun around, slamming into Oki and grabbing his leg.
"Get off of me, you coward!" he snarled, biting down hard.

Frazko just managed to fling himself sideways and then lightning quick, he reached back up and bit down with agonizing power onto the guard's windpipe. The guard fell and Frazko leapt away. He turned panting and saw Shenzi thrown to the ground. Anger surged through him like an electric charge and he leapt across the battlegrounds and slammed into the guard, thowing him off balance.
"YOU EVEN DARE TOUCH ONE PAW ON THE BETA OF MISTYPACK!!" he bellowed at the guard, snarling and bristling full length. His eyes were narrowed and his full body was ready for battle.

Rawen laughed harshly at Endure's words, kicking out at Oki.
"Come on and join me, then!" Rawen's call was sharp and full of the fury of battle.

Kiokami said...

Oki yelped in pain, biting back just heard into his ear.

Yeti snarled, attempting to dodge but his useless leg crumpled beneath him and he fell to ground, taking the full blow of the impact.

Shenzi blinked hard, trying to clear the blood from her eyes but only making it worse. She heard Frazko, felt the guards presence dissapear but saw nothing.

Kurow nodded, too winded to respond. He turned and leapt at the nearest guard angrily.

Azure Paintings said...

Endure snarled happily,"No problem!" She surged forward, avoiding one of Oki's blows, and slammed into his body - this time with her claws eager to rip skin.

Hikari hissed furiously, as she ran past a few wolves. She saw Rain fighting against two guards, clearly stuggling to stay alive. Hikari brutally attacked the first guard she came upon. Without any hesitation the wolf reacted, and soon they were locked together in a deadly match.

(Gotta add more wolves^^)

The guard tore at Yeti's other leg, attempting to make it useless. Suddenly he turned though, and ran from the scene, joining another guard who was fighting Rawen.
Rawen threw his full weight onto Oki and snarled back, grabbing the reddish colored wolf and throwing him aside into the mud.
He was knocked aside by the guard and instantly engaged in battle.

Frazko faked a lunge and then spun as they began to meet him and slammed out his hind paws into their face, smashing them both in the muzzles. They yelped and whined, jumping backwards and rubbing at their faces. Frazko didn't wait--he leapt again, slashing and scraping at them with full fury. One guard turned and ran, the other tried to fight back but then Frazko lunged once more and gave him a wound that gushed out blood. The guard looked shocked for a moment, glancing at his stomach with the gaping hole and then collapsing on the ground. That corner of the camp was clear of guards--but the battle was raging full heatedly. Frazko turned to his mate.
"Shenzi--are you okay? Please say something if you're okay...." he murmured.

Rawen felt the energy of revenge surging through him as even through the battle, the images of he and Endure getting revenge on Oki. He slashed out at the guard and hollered back to Endure.
"Give him all your wrath, Endure!"

Rain coughed, and staggered sidewise.
"Thanks," she panted at Hikari. She could see the blood light in the white wolf's eyes and she thanked starpack she had come across her.

Azure Paintings said...

Hikari grunted some sort of response to Rain when the guard she was fighting surprised the white wolf with a move she hadn't seen coming. She screeched with pain as the other wolf laid a devastating blow right near an artery. Hikari managed to counter-attack and jumped back a little with overwhelming fright; the idea of death sent chills through her beaten body. But after the attack, a brilliant idea formulated. Her heart pounded harder while she barked orders to Rain over, "We need to confuse them! Let's swith our oppenents after every attack - they won't be prepared to fight a different wolf with each attack!" Hikari darted her eyes over to rain to see if her friend understood.

Zoraz said...

Rain nodded and swiftly dove at the wolf, slashing with her teeth into his face causing him to wince in pain and blindly wave a paw to fend her off. She leapt backwards.

Kiokami said...

Shenzi groaned, lifting her head slightly. "Stupid eye." She muttered weakly, trying to get the her paws but failing.

Oki spat. "Guards! End this quickly! Go for the eyes!" He shouted over the roaring crowds, pushing away from Ebdure, deciding that since Karuso had fled it was his responsibility to lead. He aimed a final kick at Endure before dissapearing into the mob.

Yeti took advantage if the pause in battle, pulling Saharah's lifeless form towreds the quiet corner of camp where Frazko and Shenzi were- a difficult task with a useless leg. As he pulled, he realized that the pack wouldn't recognize him: his fur was grey and brown with mud and grime, covered with blood red, and his ribs stuck out from under his pelt. He wouldn't be mistaken for a guard, but no Mistypack wolf would recognize him in the heat of battle. He was a liner, fighting on his own side. He just hoped that Frazko wouldn't attack him as he gently layed Saharah down away from the battle.

Zoraz said...

Rawen snarled at the guards, furious that Oki was getting away.
"ENDURE, STOP HIM!" he bellowed, slashing at the guard and then leaping at the other and in a swift battle move he had never attempted for real, ripped out the other's throat, killing him. He turned, scanning the battlefield for the red fur of his enemy. He blinked as the rain poured into his eyes and then spotted Oki further into the crowd.
"Coward," he growled as he ducked and weaved through the mass trying to reach Oki.

Frazko licked the blood from Shenzi's face.
"Can you stand?" he asked softly.

Frazko glanced over. His heart was in his mouth as he spotted a dirty grey colored Guard standing over Saharah. She seemed to be dead--she must be if the guard wasn't attacking any further. He felt a crushing sadness fill him and he glanced back at Shenzi, trying to hide his face by licking her wounds more. Saharah and Shenzi were best friends...he didn't know if he would be able to tell her.

Azure Paintings said...

Hikari growled fiercly, her and Rain attacking both guards efficiently and without fault. The strangers were confused and battered, unable to stop the two she-wolves' attacks until finally one collasped from blood loss. Hikari lunged forward to give a last blow to the other guard, smirking as he didn't put up anymore of a fight and quickly limped away, scathed beyond repair. Soon, though, she found her eyes scanning the rest of the blood-soaked battle and her heart dropped. "...Rain," she choked hoarsely, ignoring the storm that was whipping water and wind against her body without mercy, "At this rate..." Hikari couldn't finish the sentence, knowing fully well that her packmate could understand.
The war between Mistypack and the tribe was slowly become too horrifying to look at. Crimson pools of liquid splashed in every direction as wolves ripped flesh from other wolves; Hikari started trembling, her head finally feeling the effects of losing too much of her own blood. But the white wolf only shook her head to relieve the feeling.

Endure couldn't dodge Oki's blow and was hurtled backwards a foot. Then the traitor ran off, into the mess of wolves. The speckled wolf darted her eyes to Rawen as he bellowed for her to get him. Her packmate was too busy fighting off other guards to follow Oki. Endure nodded quickly and regained her balance before running after the dark wolf. She saw his tail flash infront of her briefly and suddenly her eyes burned with fire. "OKI!" She screamed at the younger wolf before she launched herself ontop of him. She felt his body crumple to the ground at the sudden force and she pinned him against the ground. Endure then lowered her neck and snarled icicly into into the wolf's ear, "You betrayed your loyalty, your family, your friends, and yourself- give me one good reason I shouldn't kill you now." Her fury was ebbed slightly, wanting to hear what he said.

Kiokami said...

Yeti nudged Saharah, trying to get her to wake up. He noticed Frazko's horrified look. "She's alive. It's me, Yeti." It was the first he'd spoken in a moon, and his voice was more raspy than he remember. He locked eyes with the wolf, hoping he beileived him.

Shenzi moved, facing Yeti's voice as she tried to get to her paws. She winced but stood. I thought he was dead...

Zoraz said...

Rain nodded wordlessly. Her face was set and determined as she looked around the camp. She was ready to fight, but the sight of her packmates being torn to shreds was making her weak.
"What if we lose," she almost whispered to Hikari.

Rawen shoved a guard off of him and ran, bowling into Oki and snarling in his face, standing over him with Endure also sitting on top of him.
"Speak, fool!" he spat at the trecherous wolf.

Frazko stared at the wolf.
"Yeti.." he whispered. He licked Shenzi once more and leapt over to Yeti. A guard slammed into him and he grunted, twisting and writhing to throw him off and then running to Saharah.
"She...is she..." he whispered. She wasn't breathing and her fur was literally covered in blood.

Kiokami said...

"Cowards, both of you!" Oki spat, not stuggling. "Two against one? Afraid to attack one on one? I'm disgusted by you both. Weaklings!" He turned, locking eyes with Rawen. "And you. Still trying to cover up the fact that you abandoned a poor, helpless pup deep in the forest then just left? That's all you care about-killing me so the world will forget about your crimes? You've sunk low, Rawen."

Kiokami said...

Yeti lowered his head, Turing away slightly. His eyes were wet, and where his tears crossed his fur white could be seen under the exterior of grime. "If not already, soon." His voice broke.

Zoraz said...

Rawen snarled and snapped his teeth inches away from Oki's face.
"I gave you one scar--are you asking for another?" he hissed. "The only crime I've committed is letting you survive this long." he spat, his voice low and harsh.

Frazko glanced at Shenzi.
"Where...where's Sky?" he asked. He was cut off as a guard leapt on him, tearing into his neck and sending blood spurting into the muddy ground. Frazko rolled and faught back, dissapearing as they tumbled and rolled into the midst of the fighting wolves.

Kiokami said...

"You'd kill a pup who you knew couldn't beat you? You'd be willing to live with the shame of killing in cold blood?" Oki still didn't struggle, or allow any fear to cross his face. "Your lucky your father is dead. If he was alive, he'd proboly disown you."

Yeti nuzzled Saharah, prodding her gently, trying to get her to wake up.

Sky was thrown away, landing hard on the ground. A large guard stood over his, growling menacingly despite the grin of amusement. He reached down the the young wolf, who was desperately stuggling but with his lack of fighting skills was unable to cause any real damage. The guard ripped a huge gash in his shoulder than three his again.

Zoraz/Saharah/Owner said...

Rawen slammed his full weight into Oki with a ominous laugh of fury.
"My father died protecting a wolf that your guards tried to murder. You've done nothing to deserve respect or mercy. Frazko disowned you for being a coward, a traitor to the pack, and a tyrant. You deserve nothing but death!" he spat on the ground and leaned into Oki, pinning him harder to the muddy ground. The rain ran off his fur in rivers.
"You think I would be ashamed of killing a piece of elkdung? You flatter yourself. You are nothing to anybody, Oki. Even Karuso knew that when he pretended to mentor you just so he could have somebody else do the dirty work."

Saharah's body was limp and her sides no longer heaved. Her head was bleeding and her sides bloody, but there was still a faint heartbeat. After a moment she gave a low shuddering breath and then again was still. Every few moments she took another breath but grew no stronger.

Azure Paintings said...

Endure speedily interjected after Rawen, "He's right, you fool. Just look around you! Where is Karuso? He's hiding away like the rat he is - waiting for the battle to end so he can come out strong and unscathed and kill you and every last one of us!" The fur on the speckled wolf bristled with aggravation and her fangs were bared with rage. "There was no version of this where you would be at the top! You are blind if you cannot see this!"

Hikari shivered when Rain breathed the words the white wolf couldn't utter. And suddenly her blue eyes shut tightly for a few moments. "If we lose, there is no turning back. Every last one of us will be hunted down and killed. My guess is that even the exiled wolves and guards who chose to help us will be too. This is a battle we cannot afford to loose." When she opened her eyes she sucked in another breath and darted headlong into the raging frenzy of claws and fangs. Her eyes scanned the field to see Sky in peril. A large guard hovered over him and massive amounts of blood pooled.
"Rain, help Sky!" Hikari yowled over the storm. With a massive push of her legs, the white wolf leaped to knock over the towering guard who wasn't prepared for her attack. With him off of Sky, she gave a quick bite to his leg before hopping back in a defensive crouch.

Zoraz said...

Rain turned, managing to dodge a husky and furious looking guard and ran to Sky. She narrowed her eyes, spitting out rainwater and leaping under the guard's legs and then jumping quickly, sending the guard staggering sideways. She repeated the manuveur, this time twisting and slashing his underbelly with her fangs. The roar of battle pounded around her and she leapt away as her enemy was off guard. Instantly she was engaged in battle as the wolf recovered and leapt back at her. She collapsed under his weight, trying to twist and wriggle was useless.
"Sky!" she yelped, her eyes bright with fear.

Kiokami said...

Oki narrowed his eyes, and raised his head, exposing the weak part of his neck. "Go ahead then. Kill me."

Yeti jumped at the sound of a giant crash. He turned, just in time to see a huge branch crack away from a tree. It fell, hitting his back and sending him sprawling, stuck and injured. (Oooh Cyrano de Bergerac reference!!!)

Zoraz said...

(Bwaha)
Rawen felt torn between killing him when the red pup *allowed* him to, and just killing him for what he did. He snarled, and lunged for Oki's throat.

Frazko barked sharply. He gave one final clench of his jaws and yet another guard fell to the ground--lifeless. He turned at the sound of the crack and ran to Yeti. He jerked at the branch.
"Rasho! Aroko! Help me!" he barked, shaking rain water out of his eyes. They came swiftly. The guards were weakening against Mistypack's form of attack. Aroko grasped a smaller limb and Rasho took the other side and they all heaved, grunting and staggering in the mud. Finally they lifted the branch and dragged it off of Yeti, dropping it beside the forest edge where they were. Rasho saw Saharah and his eyes widened.
"Saharah! Is she dead?" he cried, stepping forward but too shaken to go near. To scared that he would smell the defining scent of death...

Kiokami said...

Sky lay, panting, not getting up. He stared into space, not focusing on anything.

Kiokami said...

Yeti wheezed, lifting his head slighly. His hind legs and back were crushed, broken- almost unrecognizable. "Saharah" He panted, his voice pain, laced with pain. He streached his nech out, nudging her one last time, hoping to say one final thing to her, hoping she could hear.

Kiokami said...

Oki sqeezed his eyes shut, waiting for the blow.

Zoraz said...

Rain was breathing hard. She felt light-headed by now and was almost ready to collapse. She staggered over to Sky and nudged him gently.
"Are you okay?"

Rawen's teeth slashed across Oki's throat in a vicious blow, slicing it wide open. (Still survivable, I guess? You haven't confirmed I can kill him..)

Frazko shook his head and Aroko's sides heaved from the adrinaline of battle as he stood back.
"We have to keep fighting! FIIIIIIIGHT!" Frazko bellowed into the sky louder than he had ever yelled before. Every wolf heard it. The guards had figured out that some of there own were traitors and also that Oki and Karuso were missing. Manuh was still fighting strong. He whipped a paw across Sako's legs but Sako leapt up and then landed oposite of the black murderer, but Manuh knew that trick too. They were an equal match for each other, but Sako had revenge on his side. Manuh only had inner born hatred.
"FOR MISTYPACK!!!" Sako bellowed into the sky and then with one final surge of energy he feignted a lunge and as Manuh turned to counter, he dove for the black wolf's throat and sank his fangs into all the flesh he could. He would die clinging to him if Manuh didn't die first.

As Rawen slashed across his throat, Oki lower his head and twisted just in time, taking to blow but inflicting just as deep of a blow to Rawen's forehead.

Sky swiveled his eyes towards Rain, moaning slightly.

Hikari lunged once more at the large guard, freeing Rain from his hold so that she could get up and help Sky. The guard's black fur was oozing dark red blood. With a final effort she latched her teeth against his neck, until the wolf couldn't breath. She let go once the wolf fainted and turned back to Rain and Sky. She limped painfully to them, nudging Sky a little with her muzzle.
"You're bleeding profusely, you'll die from blood loss if we can't stop it." She said to Sky in a whisper. Then turning her head to Rain she asked,"Can you help him to the edge of the battle? Find some moss or leaves to lessen the bleeding of both his and your wounds. I'll guard both of you with all my strength."

Endure let out a started growl as Oki's sudden attack against Rawen. She tensed her muscles to continue to hold down the traitor but reached her neck down to bite his ear. "You should accept your fate," she snarled through a mouthful of his ear.

(lols, I have no idea how Endure should react)

(This scene with Oki is awkward....plan, Shenzi? Can we kill him? BWAHAHAHA!!! Or does he turn good? Or what)

Rain nodded to Hikari and grasped Sky by the scruff of his neck. Destiny appeared beside them. Nasty gouges in her flesh showed on many parts of her body but she looked full of energy. Her face showed concern for her brother though. She heard the command and also grasped loose fur by her brother's back and helped drag him towards the eastern side of the camp where the healer wolf den was.

(I'm not going to reply for Rawen yet.)

Oki hissed, "Oh, and by the way, your side is losing. You family and friends are dying, deaths that could have been prevented if you were fighting instead of beating up an innocent pup."

"Saharah," Yeti spoke hoarsely, his voice barely a whisper. "I'm sorry, for being so selfish. Abandoning you and the pack. Leaving our pups. Being cruel and stupid. I would do anything to take it all back..." His eyes were quickly dulling.

Shenzi blinked, the blood finally cleared from her eye. Somethibg caught her eye.Frozen in shock, she saw Oki, beaten and bleeding. A small cry escapes her throat as she watch her pup.

As Sky was dragged away, Hikari took up position to guard the wolves who were helping. She caught sight of the wiry older female guard who had her eyes upon the defenseless wolf. Hikari took up her role and ran up to the wolf, snarling in fury. The guard wasn't expecting her attack, but quickly raked her claws against the white wolf. Although there was not much fight in her, Hikari felt obliged to keep her word and so she pushed forwards with her attack, striking down the guard.
This battle is dragging out, it needs to end! She thought breifly. If Karuso is defeated it will be over...wait that's it! If they think their leader is dead they'll disperse easily. Hikari was surprised at the sudden epiphany and jumped away from her opponent.

(Bam! Epiphany in the middle of a fight >.< btw,I do wonder though where on earth Karuso has gone)

Zoraz said...

(Lol, Hikari. And Karuso's such a coward. I'm not sure where he went. Edge of the forest or something..)

Rawen slashed his teeth across Oki's face and whipped around, kicking him in the side.
"Innocent!" he bellowed, his eyes slits of rage. "HOW CAN YOU BE SO BLIND!"

Saharah's eyes flickered. She heard Yeti's words. She wanted to accept what he said. She wanted to cry out that it was okay, that everything would go back to normal--but her whole body, every muscle, felt like it had been turned to stone.

Frazko was beside Shenzi once again.
"Shenzi, are you okay?" he murmured, licking her face and panting hard.

__
Karuso slunk through the forest, waiting for the wolves to weaken before he leapt in, killed the last ones and claimed victory. Then he would get rid of that fool of a pup Oki. He could just see the wolves in the camp, snarling and whirling in the heat of battle. Everything seemed to be going as planned.

"Mufsu!" Hikari had scrambled away from her previous opponent, making sure Sky was pulled to safety, and was now looking for the black wolf. She spotted the guard-ally she had met with, also near the edge of camp, who was finishing off his opponent. She rushed past Shade and Talon fighting against another guard to reach Mufsu.

Mufsu, the dark black and gray wolf, turned to see Hikari bounding his way. The blue-eyed female reached him in a few seconds, looking quite ill in the downpour caused by the storm.
"What is it?" His deep voice rumbled in his throat.
"Help me gain some time," she panted, "and perhaps win this battle."
"I'm listening."
"Karuso has run off, no doubt he's scheming. We need to use his absence to our advantage! Either we say he's dead or we show his pack his 'cowardice' as an example."
"I see, what would you like me to do?"
"Get the attention of the other guards, not all know you as a traitor, and make it known that their leader is not here."
Mufsu mangaged a smirk at the bloodstained white she-wolf, "and that's all?"
She snorted, "For now."
With a wolfish grin he chuckled, "I respect you, Hikari, you could make a fine leader."
"I am no leader," she ended the conversation and turned away to jump back into the battle.

(Tell me if I can't do this please, 'cuz then I'll just kill of Mufsu and the plan will be stopped)

Zoraz said...

(Sounds awesome. Go ahead with your plan. I'm slipping for ideas and plotlines...)

Kra came up beside Mufsu, his jaws wide as he panted with exsurtion.
"What did Hikari say?" he asked. "She is swift in planning as well as in battle," he said

Azure Paintings said...

"She want's to use Karuso's absence as an advantage," Mufsu mused, "knowing Karuso isn't here with his support they will falture or flee..." The dark furred wolf coughed a little, tasting the metallic tang of blood.

Zoraz said...

Kra nodded and gulped for breath. He glanced around.
"How," he asked. "Does she want us to feign an attack?"

Azure Paintings said...

"No, not a feigned attack,"Mufsu shook his head quickly, "she wants the use of the traitorous guards whom just so happen to call out for Karuso. If we're lucky, he'll not come out, but everyone within earshot will know Karuso is not here to lead them. We dash the opponent's hopes, make them feel like its a hopeless battle."

Zoraz said...

Kra laughed. "Nice plan," he grinned. "Should I start howling for help?" he winked and rolled his shoulders, flexing his sore muscles.

Azure Paintings said...

"I suppose," Mufsu flashed a murderous smirk. Then suddenly the wolf darted away, pulling of a 'defeated wolf' appearance. He looked around frantically, as if they were loosing. He then howled out loud, slightly relieved the storm was quieter than it had been, "This is pointless, we'll all die at this rate! Where is Karuso?!"

Endure had finally stepped away from Oki to let Rawen deal with the young wolf. She felt their fight was deeper, more emotional than her own fight. Although, she had been beyond furious about Oki's decisions that had caused Storm's death - or near death - Rawen and Oki needed to settle this themselves. As soon as she stepped away, though, her ears perked at a muffled but distinct howl."

"Where is Karuso?!"

Hikari gasped for breath, her dizziness became an obstacle to overcome, but she still heard Mufsu's words through the folige. The words that would ignite the fire of her plan. But if Karuso was anywhere close, it would ultimatly fail. So she escaped from the camp's battleground to search and follow alpha's scent. He must be waiting for something; perhaps an ideal time to attack the weakend wolves or perhaps bringing in more tribal wolves that could've been patrolling. But wherever he was, she had to stall him. Even at the cost of her life.

Zoraz said...

Kra shouted out also;
"Where is Karuso? Why is our leader not fighting beside us?"
the triggered reaction sent many of the guards retreating slightly backwards, searching for their leader and suddenly feeling uneasy. From the shelter of the bushes Karuso laughed, his eyes glittering with malice.
"The fools." he grinned.

(Oh my goodness, somebody redeem this story- it's dying!)

(reediming initiated!)

Hikari stiffened, she made out the outline of a wolf after following the almost washed out trail. Her mouth automatically drew a snarl. "Karuso!" She hissed icily. Her wet, matted fur hung down limply.

Zoraz said...

(You're so awesome, Sky!)

Karuso's head whipped around.
"Ah. It's you, Hikari. I was just trying to find you! Stay out of this battle--I can't have my queen injured." he said smoothly. He was trying hard to play it off, but his excuse sounded lame with the roar if the battle.

Azure Paintings said...

"Queen, you say." Hikari said blatenly."I presume you mean another one of your playthings." She let her icy eyes narrow in an inconcivable hatred. Perhaps this was what her own mother had done in her last moments of confronting Taiko...A warm presence filled the white wolf. She knew how to keep the alpha intrested, at bay, until the battle died down and wolves scattered more quickly.
"Karuso, tell me your past. In exchange, I'll share my own. As you wait for this battle to draw out to a close, there is nothing left to do." Hikari said smoothly; her composure changed completly when she asked the question.

Zoraz said...

Karuso could tell straight off that she had something in mind, but he wasn't sure how to respond. He shook his head.
"My past is nothing interesting," he said, standing and walking a few paces away. Shouts of his name were coming from the bttle grounds...

Azure Paintings said...

"Then Shall I talk about my own past?" She took a step forward, followed by another, and another until she was only a rabbit-length away from him. Her muzzle drew out the beginnings of a snarl. She needed the time."Would'nt you like to know that I've lived in such a bloody tyranny before? Wouldn't you like to know that my mother was murdered my old pack's alpha? Do you know I've bloodied my own paws to try getting just a morsal of revenge? And do you know that I've survived this long to try living out a new life? But when you and your foolish counterparts raided my new pack, you hand the nerve and the gull to tear us it pieces?" By now the white wolf was trembling with a terrible fury as emotions clashed within her, and she glared at Karuso with murderous eyes. "When my former alpha murdered my mother who was protecting me before my eyes, before everyone's eyes, my heart died with her. Then, I found out that the only hope I had of regaining it back was with Mistypack, but you took it away! You teared it apart! So for that, fight me. Fight me Karuso. I don't care about whether I live or die, but if such a thing matters - at least I died protecting those who I care about!" Water wetted her eyes, yet she was unable to control it. Her trembling legs stop shaking so much as they accepted her fate. She knew she would die. But she accepted the fact.

Her mother accepted it before her.

Zoraz said...

Karuso's face showed disgust as well as contempt.
"You disgust me," he growled softly. His eyes narrowed and his mouth curled in a sneer. "You think your deat will matter to those feal-bitten bunch of whelps? They care about themselves and saving their own skins. Your death will mean nothing! I give you one final chance to join me and live your dream as head of the pack--guiding them! Standing by my side and ruling all of them!" his muscles bunched, ready to attack her if she refused. "Choose wisely, Hikari. I know you're smart--but these fools have corrupted you."

Azure Paintings said...

"It is not I who has been corrupted." She shot back a retort. "Although death would have no substantial value, at least it will have a meaning behind it. We all die eventually, and so let me die as I lived- to the fullest I could." ...Hikari clenched her teeth. More time. More time. She needed to by her pack a little more time.
"But before you do kill me, I ask you now- why have you chosen to spare me multiple times, to make me your mate, to even offer me the chance to rule with you? I'm not strong, I rebel against everything you stand for, and I interfer with your plans, and you say you despise me. So why? What was intresting about me that no other female you've looked upon could satisfy?"

"Kra! I think it's working," Mufsu hissed once he neared his accomplice, limping painfully, "they all seem more wary, and I've noticed some edge more towards the outer rim of the battleground. If Karuso doesn't appear soon, they'll eventually flee."

(dun dun dunnn XP lols I can't believe its nearing the end...))

Zoraz said...

Karuso spat on the ground.
"Because I thought you were smart. Even if you were against me, you were still cunning in your approach on things. I thought wrong." in an instant he was in the air and upon Hikari, his yellow teeth meeting her white fur and his weight slamming into her.

~

Sako bellowed out across the clearing.
"MISTYPACK! FIGHT FOR YOUR FALLEN COMRADES!!"
Kira's ears were against her head. memories of Reamo flooded her mind and she leapt forward, flinging her whole body into fighting the murderers who had reigned for so long...
~
Saharah moaned, her voice just above a breath.
"Yeti..."
~
The guards were weakening. Stumbling backwards as Mistypack wolves surged forward, starting for form a line as a sort of barrier. Manuh was a black whirlwind as he spun and kicked, slashing with his teeth and spinning around--avoiding blows. Sako's fury that this wolf had possibly killed his mother was giving him energy, but even the energy of revenge won't last forever.

Azure Paintings said...

Hikari's heart hammered against her chest as Karuso launched himself at her. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry Kurow She knew she had no chance, not against the alpha. She was already worn thin, her eyes already saw tunnel vision.
"...More time..." Hikari murmured selflessly, bracing against Karuso's impact. His teeth met against the side of her neck, imbedding them into her flesh. Thats when her eyes snapped open, and she counter-attacked the alpha. Her paw was within striking distance of his own neck. And although weak, she scraped her claws against him.

"Who said I wasn't smart?" Hikari coughed up a fresh bout of scarlet blood, silently satisfied that her life might not have been in vein.

Zoraz said...

Sako leapt backward away from Manuh to give himself a breather. The roar of lightning sounded all above him, rumbling as if the sky was bellowing a battle cry for the pack. He blinked away the torrents of rainwater that was flying into his eyes and through the darkness he saw the white fur tinged with scarlet blood and dirt in the depths of the forest. Hikari! Manuh's fangs tore into his back but he didn't defend--he dodged and leapt away towards Hikari.
His eyes were fiercely narrowed and he leapt towards Hikari with long and powerfull strides. He saw now that it was Karuso and in one final bound he leapt and sent all his muscle into Karuso, aiming for the neck of the cold-blooded killer.
Karuso stumbled sideways, stunned by the attack. His neck bled from where Hikari had placed a well-aimed blow and he shook his fur, trying to see who had leapt at him.
"You runty pup!" he snarled, still unsure of who it was.

(If you didn't know, Sako has fallen dead in love with Hikari)

Azure Paintings said...

Hikari toppled over to the ground, bleeding profusely. Her raggad gasps for air were slgihtly drowned out by the onslought of pouring rain. Although dizzy, she glanced upwards at her savior. Sako had pushed Karuso back away from her. For a moment, she sent a small prayer to Starpack for his timing. But then, her body trembled with effort as she coughed up more blood; her azure eyes stared at the wolves in front of her. "Sa-k-o," she hacked violently, "Y-you must hold h-im off until th-e battle ends. Please, y-ou must remain strong... For the pack." Her body shut her up before another sentence could escape through her throat. Black dots danced across the world around her...

Her vision suddenly tunneled...no, this couldn't be happening.

Her eyelids closed slowly...she felt so tired, all life seemed sapped out of her.

Numbness engulfed her body...And ever so elegantly, lulled by the numbness, Hikari's lips tugged into a delicate smile

"For the pack."

Her breathing stopped.

And the rain that fell continued to fall, soaking the lifeless body in its tears...

(Honestly, I think those raindrops are my own tears...but let us see what will unveil.)

Zoraz said...

(OH MY GOSH, DID YOU REALLY?)

Sako roared. Hikari was on the ground now but he was too engaged in battle to see if she was okay.
~
Manuh had lost Sako in the crowd and he snarled. He was evil, but he wasn't stupid. Karuso was nowhere near the battle and they were becoming scattered. There was no reason to fight for a leader who was gone--dead maybe. He bellowed a single command out over their heads.
"ALL GUARDS! RETREAT!" the guards responded instantly to the command and turned, running for the forest. Manuh ran near behind them, watching for their former alpha, Karuso.
"TO OUR TERRITORY," he shouted. The wolves from Mistypack staggered on the outer edge of the camp. They were all near exaustion but a furious pride welled in every heart as the realization that they had won back the territory flooded over them.
~
Sako snapped and snarled. Karuso was stronger than he was, but Sako had better training. Wheras Karuso had training to kill in many different ways, Sako had had training for cunning, pressure points and blind spots. They heard the shouted command and the guards streamed past them. Oki was nowhere to be seen. Karuso gave one last slash across Sako's neck and then turned and ran also. The young wolf fell the ground and breathed heavily for a moment before he turned to Hikari.
"Hikari, I did it..." he whispered as he staggered over. She didn't answer. "Hikari...." his throat constricted and he froze before reaching down and nudging her. Her body was limp and lifeless..
"No....Hikari, no. This wasn't supposed to happen!" he nudged her again, feeling for a heartbeat. Sako stared at her, incredulous with an overwhelming sense of grief filling him. It seemed to fill past what he could bear and he collapsed the the ground beside her.
"Hi-kar-i" his broken voice whispered out as he lay as if dead. All his fighting for her...and now this.

Endure stood panting, closng her eyes in relief. It was over. It was over! Her body was brused and bloody, but she felt better than she had in months. They were finally free. A wide smirk crossed her facial features, and she couldn't help but let out a long, lone howl of triumph. It echoed through the camp as the rain lightened slightly. Soon a chorus of howls followed her lead.

Within the body of the white wolf, one could see the slightly punctured neck artery causing the lack of blood pumping to the heart, and resulting in the coma state the large canine was currently in. The body slowed the breathing down tremendouly, attemping to save the dying host. And if not for the lucky chance of a tuft of fur convieniantly blocking the hole, the being would have certainatly died...and might still die, if not given intensive treatment soon.

(pshh, i hope you know I can't do it...Hikari's my life right now >.< Besides that, I hope this is roughly ok...even if I planned to kill her...ahhhh, but then she's dead. And I want Hikari puppies!!!)

Zoraz said...

(LOL!)
Sako suddenly saw her ribs shift ever so slightly as a small amount of oxygen came into her lungs.
"She's alive." he whispered. He stood, turning around and looking for the grey wolf.
"SKY! SKY, I NEED YOU!" he shouted, searching furiousy through the crowd of howling triumphant wolves. He looked back at Hikari.
"Please, please....you can make it, Hikari."

Azure Paintings said...

Mufsu took a long breath after howling. They had won! He was estatic, the plan worked! But when he looked around, there wasn't a doubt that victory had come with a hefty price. He sat down, unmoving, trying not to look at the faces of his former comrades that he had turned on. It wasn't as if he was close to any of them, but there was an uncomfortable feeling of guilt brewing in his stomach. This is what a traitor felt like... but it was too late now to turn back time. Mufsu shook his head and stood up. His tribal feathers were gone from his fur. When he saw Kra near a group of wolves, he ambled slowly over to him. "Good work, the plan suceeded." He praised."Now then, where is Hikari? I wish to congradulate her. The outcome of the battle was greatly influenced by her."

Endure gave a sharp glare towards two guard-allys near her. Were they to be trusted? They had turned against the tribe, so who was to say they wouldn't go crawling back to Karuso after deciving them? She glanced over at Rain, "Do yout think we can trust them-" But she was cut off by a familar voice in the distance, just near the treeline.

"SKY SKY, I NEED YOU NOW!"

Kiokami said...

The young wolf, Sky, had spent much of the batter running between wolves with various herbs, trying to keep everyone in top condition. Many times he barely managed to escape the jaws of a guard, or duck out of the way of an attacking wolf, but even that luck didn't last long. Once, he was bitten at from the side and just managed to duck in time for the snapping jaws to close on his shoulder instead of his neck. Another time, something had grabbed his back paw and he just managed to get away with a well-aimed paw blow to the eyes. Even so, he was bloody like the rest of his packmates, but not as quite as badly. He was just finishing up applying herbs to Nanami's shoulder when he heard Sako's call.

With haste, he grabbed the dwindling pile of supplies in his teeth, the shape tastes stinging his tongue. Loose leaves flying out behind him, he turned and raced to where Hikari lay, shoving bigger wolve's out of his way with an apologetic mumble. He ignored the occasional annoyed look as he skidded to a halt where the white wolf lay, a cloud of dust forming next to his paws.

He dropped the herbs carelessly before leaning over Hikari, trying to get a good look at the injury, Slowly and carefully as not to retrigger any nastly bleeding, he nudge her fur away from the wound with his paw, brushing away blood as well. He winced slightly as he got a good look at the injury, then immediately began to grind herbs. As he worked, he muttered under his breath, wishing his father was there. Reamo would have known what to do, more than the yound wolf had any idea. He couldn't let Hikari die. Not after what she had done for the pack. Surely Sky could do it...

With a large green leaf, Sky carefully picked up the ground herb and placed it around the wound, spreading it softly. Carefully, he began to put pressure on the wound with some thick reed. All the while, his heart pounded. Hikari couldn't die.

Kurow snarled as the tribe wolves left, before standing up straighter. They had won! His golden eyes were alight with happiness for a moment, watching the pelts of their oppressors vanish in the foliage. After a moment, he turned toward the center of camp. Around him, the fallen forms of his packmates and tribe members stained the soil. Surely not all of these wolves were really dead, were they? He let out a soft howl, a mourning howl, before he heard Sako's call.

Immediately, his ears perked up, and his heart raced. Based off of Sako's call, it could only be one wolf: Hikari. He galloped to the other side of camp, careful to avoid fallen wolves. He slowed down a bit as he neared, seeing Sky working. Sky would be able to help right. He scanned Hikari's pelt from a few feet away, looking at the wound. It was nasty, but Kurow knew that looks were nothing. It could be a lot better, or a lot worse, than he could tell. He just hoped it was better.

He stepped back slightly when he realized that Sako was there. He was uncomfortable around the large wolf, as he could almost feel waves of anger coming off his pelt whenever he neared. The smaller gray wolf had no immediate objection to Sako, but didn't really trust him either.

Endure shuffled closer to Sako, her eyes resting sadly on Hikari. The speckled wolf let out a tiresome sigh. "She'll recover...she's Hikari. She can't die yet." She told the other wolves around her, but mainly to assure herself. She was dead tired, and after seeing the devestation around the camp- she felt strangly defeated.
