Story So Far (SSF):
When complications hit Mistypack, Saharah (the alpha) decided to take instant action against the invading uprights, shortage of food and overall bad territory. They then put some distance between that territory (around 200 miles worth) even with the new pups of the alphas and betas. Long story short, an enemy wolf was recruited, then turned against them and became alpha by force. Terror and bad times followed his reign and a battle is currently raging.
Kuni and Kari's story can be followed at the Fresh Kill link below the chat box on the right sidebar.
An uprising started by Sako surged through the pack and they revolted against the guards. The battle is raging and wolves from both sides are falling. Who will triumph? Add your attacks to the battle by commenting in the newest post!

Kari woke as he stood and then she yawned.
"We should head out," she murmured sleepily.
Kuni nodded sadley. "Yeah." His mind wandered to how the pack was faring. He missed his family more and more each day, even though he knew the choice to leave had been his own. "Where to?"
"How should I know," she laughed with a groan. She stood and starting walking.
"Anywhere away from Mistypack." she muttered. "Away from Karuso. And away from Saharah and Yeti."
"Saharah's not bad." Kuni barked before changing the subject. "Let's go north. That will move us further away."
Kari gave him a sidelong glance and then stared pointedly ahead.
"Fine. Sounds good." she said curtly, trotting ahead of him.
Kuni rolled his eyes and followed Kari. " I wonder how things are going in Mystypack..." On a deeper level he was wondering whether or not he would see his family again.
Kari felt hot tears threatening to fall and she blinked furiously. This stopped them for a while but the image of Reamo, down on the ground....covered in blood...the image of the guard's throat, ripped out by her own teeth...her legs shook and she stumbled against Kuni. The tears melted to fear and cold dread. They could never go back. The look on her mother's face as they left...Saharah's daughter had killed a wolf. No. Not "they".
She could never go back.
Kuni paused, pressing against her comfortingly. He wasnt used to being that close to her, but he was determined to comfort her as best he could. He longed to say something to comfort her, but felt as if there was no way to do so.
*annnnnd nothing to say. Great*
"What are you doing here?" A voice growled from a bush near Kuni and Kari. An old white wolf slunk out of the undergrowth, his amber eyes pinched in anger.
Kuni looked startled. "We were just passing through." he barked quickly.
The old wolf snarled in return. "Why?> Where do you think your going?"
Kari full on raised her hackles and showed her teeth.
"None of your business! We're just passing through! Not like you'll be around long enough to care, Ancient." she snarled, glaring at him just daring him to make a move.
Kari full on raised her hackles and showed her teeth.
"None of your business! We're just passing through! Not like you'll be around long enough to care, Ancient." she snarled, glaring at him just daring him to make a move.
The old wolf bared his teeth. "Watch it, youngster. I have a few more years fighting experience than you have, and Im still young enough to use it." He snarled. "However, I could spare you the pain if you leave my territory. OUT!" He spat, talking a step foreward.
Kari also took a step forward with a laugh, her eyes narrowed.
"Do you even remember what the word 'young' means!?" she gaped, looking him up and down. She knew this was trouble- but if she was already exiled, who in starpack cared?
(Kuni's reaction?)
Kuni laughed slightly but retained an attack like posture. "You might want to get out of our way, old wolf. If we attack you, your bones would shatter at the slightest touch!" He mocked, his teeth bared.
The old white wolf leaped at Kuni teeth bared, but Kuni pinned him easily. "Youve lost your touch, old guy." Kuni barked grinning.
Kari growled at the white wolf.
"Go take a bath, elder." she growled. She leaned into his face and her eyes softened with an evil grin.
"But don't forget us. Kuni and Kari!" she turned and ran into the forest. (They'll become a team of bandits!!!!! XD)
Kuni smiled, leaping off of the white wolf kicking him on the way then running after Kari, laughing.
Kari ignored the slight twinge of guilt. What she felt now was adrinaline, revenge and pure ecstasy! She was free. She was a rebel, and she was part of a team.
"We're a team, Kuni," she smiled.
Kuni grinned. "The baddest wolves in the land!" He joked playfully.
Kari looked at him.
"We're for real, you know." she murmured. "We can do this. Survive. Become the top loners."
Kuni nodded. "We can. We can survive. Together." He smiled slightly, but wanted to hit himself for using that word. Would she want to live with him? Proboly not.
Kari grinned.
"We're gonna do this." she said, her face fierce. Images of them reigning over the forest, maybe even starting their own pack. "And one day our name will be known across the whole forest!" she laughed, leaping into the air and swishing her tail as she bounded ahead.
Kuni bounded after, leaping high. "We can become alphas of our own pack! Wolves would be begging to join our pack!" He barked, laughing.
Kari's laugh slowly melted and she gazed back into Kuni's eyes.
"You would really want a pack..?" she murmured, looking seriously into his eyes with happiness and warmth shining out.
Kuni nodded, gazing back into Kari's eyes. "I would." He murmered, smiling slightly.
Kari's fur felt like it was burning and she looked away, smiling.
"Well maybe we should then." she said, walking ahead.
Kuni cocked his head slightly, following a step behind. "It would certainly be interesting." he barked. "Maybe we should."
Kari bounded forwards again.
"We should have a name for ourselves," she grinned, dropping the subject of a pack. She glanced at Kuni for his opinion.
"Something dangerous. Something...rebelious." her eyes shone with a firey light.
Kuni nodded agreeingly. "I take it that you have an idea?" He asked, still smiling.
Kari shook her head and rolled her shoulders.
"No, but I'm thinking about one." she said, cocking her head. (You guys know I'm dropping the winter theme?) she padded across the forest and entered the mossy glade of the stream. She bent her head and lapped at the cool refreshing water.
Kuni lapped at the water aswell, dunking his head in the refreshing stream. With a sly grin, he splashed Kari across the face with his paw.
Kari gasped slightly, jumping backwards and then gave him a reproachfull look, going back to licking and then suddenly jumped sideways and knocked Kuni into the water.
Kuni climbed back to his feet, and knocked Kari into the water immeadialty. He pinned her, leaving her head above water.
Kari laughed, spluttering out water.
"Get offa me, you big hulk!" she laughed rolling over. She stiffened suddenly. A rustling sound came from the bushes.
Kuni wheeled around, facing the sound. He bared his teeth, ears back. He sniffed, but was upwind and was unable to catch a scent. "Show yourself." He growled, not sure it was even a wolf but thought it was worth a try.
(A little baby chipmunk all hops out. XD)
A dark grey wolf stepped out, teeth bared and ears flattened.
"Who are you?" she growled.
(I cant tell if it was the wolf or Kari who said that, so Ill just go with the wolf.)
"Thats none of your buisness." Kuni growled, head lowered. "Leave."
(Yup. correct)
The female sized up Kuni with a slight humour in her eyes.
"Yeah right, stranger. This is my turf and you'll be the one who's leaving. I can fight you and knock you down in nothing flat." she barked, almost laughed. She stepped out, leaping across the stream. Kari felt a strange sensation, as if she knew this wolf. Her eyes were familiar. She backed up and looked at the wolf.
"Who are you...."
Kuni snarled, unfazed. "Somehow I doubt that, fleaface. Leave us alone."
The female ignored him.
"I'm Tyrakah. Some coyote faces call me Tyrant." she said and stepped beside Kari.
"This is my territory though." she said, her snarl gone but he hackles still raised.
"I'm Kari." Kari gave Kuni a slight look, hoping he understood they shouldn't attack or make trouble with her.
"You look so familiar. Do you know Mistypack?" she asked almost hesitantly.
"Yes, Actually. The alpha Saharah is my mother."
Kuni calmed slightly, still tense in case of attack. He saw no need to share his linage with a strange wolf. "How do you know about our pack?"
Kari gawped at Tyrakah (Tie-rah-kuh).
"Saharah's your mother???" obviously Kuni didn't realize the importance of this.
"Saharah....who was your father!?"
Tyrakah looked surprised at Kari's shock.
"Well," she looked at Kuni. "I know my mother left and joined Mistypack. I've heard different rumours about them and what happened. I followed when you moved...." she trailed off.
Kuni paused , finally understanding. He had figured that his family was the only one with half brothers and sisters, he hadn't given a bit of thought to anyone else. He straightened, but still didn't let down his guard. This wolf could be making things up, for all he knew, just until they trusted her, the she could turn and kill them.

"My father was a loner. I don't speak of him." she said coldly. Kari looked at Kuni.
"Can we have a second, Tyrakah?" she moved beside Kuni.
"What do you think," she murmured
"I don't know if we can trust her. We should talk with her though. Find our more." Kuni murmered in her ear, Lookinf around at the same time.
Kari nodded. She felt numb. This wolf was her half-sister....
"Her mother was Saharah.." she whispered. "Yeti used to be a loner..what if she's my full sister?" she shiwspered.
"I doubt it." Kuni murmered. "Mom said that they became mates right before the battle against Talhopack." he wanted to comfort her, but couldn't think of any way to do so. Briefly he wondered if he'd ever meet any of his own half siblings. "We need to ask what her fathers name is."
Kari nodded dumbly.
"Uh, who was yoru father?" she asked the loner after a moment. Tyrakah had a poker face on and she said nothing for a moment.
(Concidering..)
(Anything works. CHoose whoever you want.)
She glanced at their intent faces.
"My father is a wolf called Frazko." she said finally. "I believe he used to live in Mistypack."
Kuni snarled, glowering at Tyrakah. "You liar." He snarled, baring his teeth. "My father would never be that dishonest. You lying fiend!" He took a step foreward, his body shaking in anger. His eyes were filled with anger, and he looked ready to leap at any second.
Kari put a paw in front of him, stepping forward.
"How do we know you are not lying?" she glanced at kuni.
"She has my mother's eyes..." she whispered in a somewhat choked voice.
"All I can say is teh truth or a lie. It is your judgement to believe it." she said. "Do I look like either wolf?" she asked. Kari studied her and glanced again at Kuni.
"She does look like my father..." Kuni trailed off, staring off into space.
"You have my mother's eyes.." Kari whispered hoarsly for at least the third time.
"She must be telling the truth..."
Tyrakah looked almost bewildered.
"Of all the two wolves to meet in the forest, huh?" she said with a light laugh. Kari nodded, the realization sinking in. She shook herself.
"Yeah, really." she laughed.
"Yeah." Kuni's voice was hollow. She's Frazko's daughter, but she and I aren't even related, much less half siblings. He reminded himself. Because Shenzi and Frazko aren't my real parents, but Kari can't know that..." He dug his nails into the ground, turning away. He took a step away from Kari and Tyrakah, and spoke without looking at them. " I'll leave you alone then..." With that he ran into the woods, just out of earshot.
(Omg, Shenzi)
Kari turned.
"Wait, Kuni!" she called. She took a step after him but Tyrakah put a paw out in front of her.
"Stop," she said darkly. "He needs time. Seems like you got over it quickly though."
"What are you insinuating?" Kari snarled. She tried to step around Tyrakah who merely followed and continued to block her.
"What do you *think* I'm insinuating?" she growled back, her eyes narrowing.
"Look, scum-breath! You have no clue what my history is. I can whoop your flea bitten pelt any sun of the moon (LOL sun-day moon-month). So back. Off!" she snarled, shoving her nose into Tyrakah's face. Tyrakah sprang forward and knocked Kari to the ground.
"Uh! Grrrah!" Kari leapt up, shoving Tyrakah off her and then lunging for her throat.
(I've been planning for a while, actually)
Kuni wheeled around when he heard noise, and was leaping at Tyrakah in an instand. He pinned her, shoving his nose in her face. "You do so much as lay a paw on her and I'll rip you to shreds, sister or not."
Kari coughed a mouthfull of blood and jumped to her paws and snarling. She lunged at Tyrakah.
Tyrakah snarled and pinned her ears flat on her head.
"You fool," she snarled. "Your father is my father. We are blood siblings! Who would you be if you killed me? A murderer!"
"Ha!" Kuni scoffed. "Like that would make a difference, sharing a father. You wish. Id kill you in a second." He lunged for her throat.
Tyrakah threw him off of her and stood up.
"You're weird," she said, fighting a grin.
Kuni stood next to Kari, tense and ready to attack, but didnt lunge. Instead he moved slightly infront of her. "You're going to get yourself killed if you dont leave us alone." He snarled at Tyrakah.
Tyrakah turned and backed away.
"Fine." and without another word she turned and ran into the forest, her paws sending droplets of water splashing up.
Kari snorted. Her eyes were narrowed with fury and she spat out more blood. Her chest was bleeding.
Kuni watched her leave, and after a minute turned to Kari. "Im sorry.: he barked, looking down. "Are you okay...?" He asked after a moment.
Kari snarled and blood dripped from her muzzle.
"Was she lying," she asked after a moment. "She may have just had inside information and been trying to get something out of us.." she turned on heel and stalked away from the creek but following it's basic turns.
"We have to keep moving," she growled.
Kuni nodded slightly, following a few steps behind. His head was low in sadness. He hadnt thought of sharing the factsof his liniage, now he was conflicted over telling Kari. He opted not to answer Kari's question, or tell her. Instead he stares at the ground, thinking.
Kari turned her head.
"C'mon, Kuni. Move your paws or we'll have to go without dinner!" she teased. She saw his downcast eyes.
"Hey, Kuni...What's wrong?" she stopped altogether and stared at him, concerened. She licked some blood off her chest and looked back at him.
Kuni stopped. "Nothing. Its just... Well, something that wold brought up..." He paused, closing his eyes. "Shenzi and Frazko arent my real parents." He turned away slightly. "C'mon, lets hunt." He barked, not looking at Kari.
Kari didn't move at all.
"What....." she whispered. "Then...wait, so they adopted you when you were just born also or something?" she shook her head as if shaking off a flea.
"One of their real pups, the first Kuni, passed away on the journey back to the pack. Shenzi and Frazko found me, and just didnt tell anyone. No one noticed since we looked the same and since there was so much stress. Shenzi and Frazko opted not to tell anyone because they didnt want to add more stress." Kuni explained, his voice sad.
"Whoa, whoa...so..." she shook her head again, her eyes narrowed in confusion. She didn't seem entirely convinced or surprised.
"So...they just..found you? And you happened to be newborn the same as your brothers and sisters? That really doesn't make sense. Who are your birth parents then? Didn't they care?" she regretted this last question fully and she hoped he wouldn't feel bitter--but who wouldn't?
Kuni shrugged slightly. "Thats all I know. I never got more of an explaination... I have no idea who my parents are." He sighed slightly. "It doesnt make sense to me either..."
Kari sighed.
"Well, even if your parents aren't who I thought they were," she looked him directly in the eyes. "You are who I know you are. And, well..." she smiled and licked him on the face. "I love you anyway."
Kuni's heart thumped in his chest. He nuzzled Kari's cheek. "Kari, I- I love you too."He murmered, smiling slightly.
Kari nuzzled him back. Her heart was slamming against her ribcage, she was sure this is what heaven felt like...
"Kari...please stay with me. Forever." Kuni spoke quietly, preserving the moment. He wanted it last forever, just the two of them.
(Aaaand this proved why I could never be a romantic writer.)
(LOL! How am I doing? You're doing well enough. We're wolfy writers, not romance. XD Although sometimes romance pops up.)
Kari leaned into him further.
"Yes Kuni." she whispered. She felt the world spinning. She could feel his heart matching her own beat. In the back of her mind she wondered why she hadn't exploded with happiness yet.
Kuni smiled, inhaling her sweet scent. He licked her cheek,, pressing close to her. "I love you so much..." He whispered.
All of the sudden, the old white wolf and three other wolves appeared, circling Kari and Kuni. The old white wolf snarled. "You pushed me too far, scum."
Kuni didnt flinch, but didnt move away from Kari. Before Kuni and Kari could respond, thay attacked, two going after each wolf.
Kari turned to face the wolves.
"You fool," she laughed at the white wolf. "You've come for another taste? We can take you." she scanned the other wolves. "Hah! You had to bring your own pack with you? Heh. Bring it on!"
As they leapt she slammed back into them, snarling and biting directly into the tender leg area.
Kuni bit at the largest wolf, fighting him easily. Another lept at him from behind, but he twisted around easily, kicking him away and twisting back towreds the other wolf without a pause.
Kari shoved the squealing wolf away from her. These wolves must be complete loners. She suddenly realized how much her training was aiding her. This was as easy as fighting pups! She turned to the white wolf.
"Come on, old man. You ready for me?" she sneered, showing him her gleaming white fangs as she licked the blood of the other wolf's from her lips. She looked terrifying.
The old white wolf snarled, leaping, his teeth bared, but his attacks were uncoordinated and slow and easy to dodge.
Kuni threw one of his attackers to the ground, and turned on the other one just as quickly. He grabbed the wolf by the leg, flipping him on his back.
Kari snarled at the white wolf.
"You fight like a trainee!" she flipped him on his back and stood on him, glancing at Kuni with a look of power as they both had the enemy in the same position. She glared back at the white wolf.
"Have anything to say to us?" she snarled.
The white wolf narrowed his eyes slightly. "You fight like pack wolves, yet you appear to be loners." He remarked, glancing between the two wolves.
"Well, we're liners. End if story." Kuni bit back angrily.
"So what? Doesn't matter who we are old-one. We beat you" she glared at the wolves held down by their paws. She leaned into their faces with a strange smile but her eyes narrowed.
"Don't forget us. We are the FireSpirits!"
(They need a signature thing to do. Ah! Bow before they leave or step off of them?!! Yes?)
(Works for me, but you decidee. Maybe they even leave a perticulaur scar or something? Anything works, really.)
Kuni nodded. "And if you ever challenge us again, we'll do more that just embarass you." He bared his teeth in a smile.
(EXACTLY what i was thinking! A scar in a certain place. I think a bow MAYBE but scar sounds cool. Decide- hurry lol)
Kari's face glowed.
"Have anything to say, fools?" she asked.
The white wold held his tounge, looking away.
Kuni bent down. "Weaklings." he whispered before lashing out, leaving horizontal scars under both of his first opponents eyes, then the other. He got off of then, stepping away. "Go, scum. Run. Run away like the weakling you are."
Kari slashed two slashes on the wolf beneath her on his right ear and stepped off.
"Run!" she hissed, licking her lips
The three wolves turned and sprinted without a second glance. The old white wield trotted off after the others, but only after a moments pause.
Kuni licked Kari's cheek lovingly. "FireSpirits?" he asked, laughing slightly. "I like it."
Kari smiled and glanced after them, her smile fading.
"That seemed almost too easy." she said. She turned ad swished her tail.
"Lets hunt. All the insults made me hungry." she laughed
Kuni nodded. "That was like fighting pups." He remarked, laughing slightly. "Maybe fighting rabbits would be harder."
Kari laughed appriciativly and scented the wind.
"Kuni!" she hissed and motion for him to follow as she crouched low to the ground and slid to the side under the ferns by the creek-bed.
"Uprights!"
Kuni chrouched low next to her. "Their uglier than I remember." he whispered, just barelt more than a whisper. "Should we attack?"
Kari shook her head.
"No. We don't want trouble. They may have death-sticks." she stared at the two uprights coming paralelle to them. They were treading quietly and looked excited.
"What do you think their doing?" she whispered under her breath.
Kari shook her head.
"No. We don't want trouble. They may have death-sticks." she stared at the two uprights coming paralelle to them. They were treading quietly and looked excited.
"What do you think their doing?" she whispered under her breath.
"I have no idea. Do they really do anything?" Kuni whispered, agreeing with her.
Kari smothered a laugh. The uprights walked past them, walking as though they were stalking prey.
"Wow, they're so weird!" excalimed Kari after they had left.
"Hey, aren't there not supposed to be any uprights around here?" she asked suddenly. "We should warn the pa-" she cut herself off and turned abrubtly as if she hadn't been in the middle of a sentance.
"Funny. We havent scented any uprights before..." Kuni trailed off, purposly pretending that he hadnt heard Kari's last sentance.
Kari nodded.
"Hmm." she said, a clear signal to drop the subject.
"I can't smell any prey. I think the uprights scared it all off." she muttered.
Kari nodded.
"Hmm." she said, a clear signal to drop the subject.
"I can't smell any prey. I think the uprights scared it all off." she muttered.
Kari nodded.
"Hmm." she said, a clear signal to drop the subject.
"I can't smell any prey. I think the uprights scared it all off." she muttered.
"I wouldn't be amsuprised with their stench." Kuni muttered. ""C'mon. Let go across-" He was interrupted by a loud bang.
Kari glanced behind her, hackles raised.
"What was that!?"
Almost immediately, another bang followed.
"Firesticks!" he shouted, turning to run. "Hurry!" He herd another bang, and something grazed his side.
Kari shoved him aside into the heavy undergrowth and ran full out.
"COME ON!" she shouted. "RUN!"
Kuni scambled to hs feet, taking off. Behind him, he heard angry noises, but no sound of pusuit. After a few moments, Kuni slowed, exhasted. "I think their gone." He panted.
Kari breathed deeply.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Those must be firesticks." Kuni panted. He turned, looking at the cut on his side from the firesticks. "How could they have hurt me from so far away...?" He wondered.
Kari shuddered.
"Saharah said that one of her friend loners was killed when there wasn't even a scent of Upright around. She said that she....." she hesitated and then changed. "Those firesticks can hurt from far away."
Kuni shrugged slightly. "Ill never understand uprights. They leave their territory just to kill things? What, do they eat them?" He stood up.
Kari squared her shoulders.
"We own the forest now. Lets go," she turned and crouched, scenting the air towards where the firesticks came from.
Kuni crouched, following her lead.
Kari sniffed the air.
"Come on. You lead. We'll stalk them and then teach them to come on our turf! Hah!"
Kuni nodded. "They more than deserve it!" he agreed, moving foreward quietly. He moved until he could just see them through the trees.
Kari slid behind him.
"What are they doing?" she hissed.
"Who knows?" Kuni shrugged jokingly before looking closer. "Just...sitting there..."
(Okay this is seriously boring. Help. New comment idea- and new post!)
Kuni tensed to jump, but paused at a small cry. Carefully he turned. There across the clearing, blood seeped from under a thick bush. Kuni looked at Kari before moving slowly, peering around the bush. There he spotted three wolves: two pups stood over the fallen form of a female wolf, one wound on her neck seeping with blood.
Kari looked at them and narrowed her eyes. She turned the oposite direction, nudging Kuni as she walked off.
"Come on, lets get outta here.." she growled.
Kuni didn't move. "But there are pups..." he trailed off... "We can't just leave them, can we?" He looked torn, glancing in the direction of the pups.
Kari kept walking.
"We can't weigh ourselves down!" she barked sharply. "They'll have to figure it out themselves." she walked with a purpose, smothering her maternal instinct to run back and comfort the pups and care for them. No. She thought visiously.
Kuni still didn't move. "Kari, if we don't help them, they'll die. I can't leave knowing that I left two helpless pups to die or be abducted by uprights." he set his jaw, determined, through his geary burned in his chest. He didn't want to be fighting. He didn't want to thing about the pups,
Kari saw one of the pups. The only one not crying or whimpering. In that one pup she saw pure power, strength, and will. She could picture them in their own pack.
"If we helped them then those pups could be trained to live in our pack," she muttered. " I don't think the mother is dead yet." she added, glancing back. She took another step towards the forest.
"Well. Fine. Get her. I'll get the pups." she finally said.

(You play one pup, I'll take the other.)
Kuni nodded agreeingly, licking her cheek as Ge moved into plain view of the pups. One of the pups, a spiky-furred black female with bright green eyes growled, though her face was still wet with tears. "Come any closer and Ill rip your throat out!" The pup warned. Kuni took a respectful step back. "We don't want to hurt you. He explained, his head bowed slightly. The female nidded slightly. "Fine. But one false move and I'll kill you!"
Kari lifted her head, avoiding his lick for the most part. It was mostly a playful move, but with a slight annoyance.
The other wolf, also a black female looked wary and annoyed.
"They want to help-" she said to the other. "I can tell." her little hackles were raised and she had her eyes narrowed at the both loners. "Can you help her?" she asked grudgingly.
(Dang, Oki!! You stole my pup personality!! Now I've gotta swap my own a little. lol)

(Sorry. It's been my plan for a really long time though: an out if control hurricane of a pup lol)
Kuni nodded. "We'll do our best."
The spiky furred pup throught for a moment. "Fine," she barked, her voice still defensive. Kuni turned the other pup. "Ts okay with you?"
The pup nodded curtly.
"I guess." she growled.
The pup nodded curtly.
"I guess." she growled.
Kuni nodded, stepping foreward. He examined the wound carefully. "I don't think that we can mice her yet... And with the uprights..." he looked around, his heart beating slightly faster. "If the uprights come back-" he was interrupted by a groan from the mother wolf. Kuni leaned in closer. "Kari, come here- I think she's trying to say something."
(Mice her! XD I love your auto-correct! XD XD)
Kari stepped forward and the little female bristled, her fangs showing. The two pups were nearly identicle.
"Don't hurt her!" she spat. Kari made a soothign sound and listed to the female as she apparently tried to speak. She moaned again.
(I don't. I acctually override anout 90 percent of the corrections... And many of the things it tries to correct are already spelled correctly.)
"Take.....care.....of...them....." the mother whispered weakly, coughing. At her last word, she exhaled for the final time and lay still.
Kuni stepped back, his eyes downcast.
(It makes me laugh. ^.^)
Kari narrowed her eyes.
"What did I tell you." she muttered. The black pup glanced at her mother. Her mind was young but she understood all to well what had just taken place. Her eyes went to the ground. No tears came. No cries of anguish. No moans of despair. She just lowered her head for a moment, then lifted her muzzle to the sky. A song of mourning in her small pup voice filling the sky.
Kari felt the fur on her neck rise at this act of maturity. She recalled herself sobbing uncontrolably at other deaths in the pack not long before she was exiled. This pup was a fighter. She was a true Firespirit!

The spiky black pup glared at the ground, her teeth bared. She was imagining finding the uprights, attacking them, and killing them slowly, just like they had done to her mom, but her sisters howl snapped her out if it. She looked off into the sky, then to Kari and Kuni.
(Ug, I still need to come up with a name! I think I have one, but idk...)
Kari narrowed her eyes.
"Come with us." she said after a pause. "We'll shelter you for a while till your old enough and you can survive on your own." she said this simply, getting to the point. They couldn't keep wolves all the time, but these pups were different. They had willpower, mental strength and the pure fire to survive. The black female finished her howl and nodded.
"Done." she said. she stepped beside Kari and stared in front of her.
"Where are we headed." She muttered.
"No, actually, were not heading anywhere until we know each others names. She raised her head slightly. "My names Sekhmet. Mom said Sekhmet means war goddess." she barked proudly, obviously pleased with her name.
Kuni nodded slightly. "Im Kuni." he didn't share his names meaning: easily turned to evil.
(Both of these are true: Sekhmet was the Egyptian war goddess)
(Wait, no, Kuni means easily captured by evil. Not captured like kidnapped, like changed.)
Kari growled under her breath.
"And I'm Kari." she said, her paws itching to get out of this place.
(Cool random info.)
The black female glanced at her sister and then looked Kuni in the eyes. Her eyes flashed.
"I'm Katara. It means Fearless Rebel." she said clearly. She looked defiant, but not as if challenging anybody to laugh at her name. More like just waiting to show someone up. Not even to prove herself, just to use her strength.
"I'm the oldest." she added. (Beat you to it. XD)
(I was actually going for youngest anyways lol. Works better for my character- overall loyal, but fierce in fighting, not always able to control herself. She's an amazing fighter, but doesn't know when to stop. Character ideas (c) the ancient Egyptians.)
(I love names that mean something. Kurow means easily turned to evil- much like Kuni as they both come from the same game. Oki means loyal but headstrong. I'm pretty sure Shenzi means independant.)
Kuni nodded. " Let's go. Get far away from these uprights." he turned, leading off into the woods. He walked, without a word to Kari, her bit so great mood wearing off on him.
(Coolz.)
(Yeah, I made up Katara so I made up the meaning also on what it SHOULD mean for my own name creation and created meaning for my new created name and creation of the meaning. Catch that? XD
I recall Shenzi meaning something along the lines of "Bitter" or something...
Katara glared at Kuni.
"And leave her for the vultures and other uprights?"
(Coolz.)

"And leave her for the vultures and other uprights?"
"You have a point, but we can't take her body with us-" Kuni stopped, having come to a realization. "Find a safe spot to start the burial. I'll be back." Withiut waiting, he turned dashing into the surrounding forest. Sekhmet watched him leave, puzzled.
Katara watched as Kari lifted the body of the mother onto her back and carried it beside the stream. She saw an overhanging tree with ferns underneath and placed her there.
"She will be at rest here." she mumured. Katara looked at Kari with eyes that were brave and fierce.
"She's...." her pup voice was slightly choked. "She's gone to be an alpha in Starpack....hasn't she?" her voice broke into a whisper and tears streamed down her face as she looked up at Kari. Kari felt her own throat get tight and she nodded, drawing Katara close.
"She's gone to live in Starpack..." she agreed in a murmur. Right then she decided she would train this pup as her own. She would bring Katara up to become a fierce fighter. A true Firespirit. She had it in her--it was written across her whole body. She was fierce and independent. Kari glanced over at Sekhmet, her face offering for her to join beside her sister and mourn, but not pressing.
(Sekhmets going to be... Wild. That's the only way I can put it. Doesn't listen, always showing off how smart and how good of a fighter she is, not knowing when to stop talking and insulting others constantly. All well being a fairly loyal pack member. Based directly off of Sherlock Holmes from the Sherlock series, with a bit of Egyptian godess. This will be interesting for sure. Very excited. The thing is, the character Sherlock is so insensitive that he should be locked in a box. I will replicate this in any way possible.)
Sekhmet didn't budge. "Yeah. Starpack. Sure. She's dead. There's nothing to be all hopeful one-day-we'll-see-her-again about. Deal with it and move on." she turned away. Her face and voice were devoid of emotion.
(Now all I need is a John Watson character. Oh, and Mauriaty, and Mycroft and Mrs Hudson, and Les Stroud. I give up already. You need to watch the show. It's amazing. Awesomeness.)
(Shea not like stoic, but also not like angrily talking. She is, and will always, be manner-of-fact sort of tone.)
(LOL! YOUR TOTALLY STEALING MY CHARACTER PERSONALITY!!! Well, not quite, BUT CLOSE ENOUGH! XD)
Katara ignored Sekhmet and blinked. She watched as Kari dug into the earth and finally lay their mother into the ground.
(Where's Kuni?)
"Where are we headed." she asked, straightening up. Kari glanced around for Kuni.
"Not sure." she barked. She stepped in front of Sekhmet and growled, looking her in the face.
"I'm not saying you're out of line, but you'd better stay in your boundaries. Don't test me. I'm alpha and I have a whole starwolf's lot more training than you do. If you choose to stay with us then Kuni and I will mentor you both," her eyes flickered to Katara and back to Sekhmet. "to be Firespirits." she looked at Sekhmet, her eyes challenging.
(Tail raised, chest forward, eyes staring- either Sekhmet returns the body position ready for a fight or else she turns her eyes away and surrenders. What will she choose!!?? Find out next time in, "Kuni & Kari; Firespirits!"
(You'll see.)
Sekhmet raised her head, matching Kari's stare. "Firespurits? I have no plans to stick around. Mom said for you to 'take care of us' and once that's over with, I'm leaving."
Kuni trotted into sight, his eyes sparking with mischief. He carried two Firesticks in his mouth. "Well, those uprights won't bother us anymore, at least not with these." he smiled, proud.
Katara snarled at her sister.
"Why don't you ever shut up instead of telling us your life story and all about your future??" she snapped before stalking a short distance away.
Kari growled in annoyance at the two and then looked up as Kuni trotted in. She stared at the firesticks with interest rather than shock or surprise.
"Did you kill them?" she asked, intrigued and coming nearer.
"I couldn't tell. Knocked them out at least." Ge barked carefully placing the weapons on the ground."Tgey won't bother us anymore. Not unless their dumber than mice. Which they might be. Hard to tell." he joked.
Sekhmet watch her walk away, her expression more bored than anything else. She felt no guilt for her words, just boredom. With grace she kept up the lowest branch of the tree, them proceeded upward until she lay down on a branch a few feel above the others heads. She put her head on her paws and looked down, her eyes unusually pale blue against her wild black fur.
(HOOVERDAM)
Kari scoffed.
"How did you do that?" she laughed.
Katara padded over.
"Those..they killed my mother." she growled
"I pushed one over and he banged his head on a rock, and the other one reached for it's Firestick but I grabbed it and leapt at him, then bashed his head with it." he explained, looking sadley over at Katara, not knowing how to comfort her.
Sekhmet scoffed. "Yeah, Katara, blame the stick." she muttered under her breath, sighing.
Kari looked amused and impressed.
"Starpack," she muttered. "Lets get going." she barked sharply and Katara fell in behind her. She ignored her sister again and just kept walking.
Kuni followed, glancing back at Sehkmet. The young wolf leapt gracefully, bouncing over the branches and landing just infront of the group. He watched them pass her with a blank face.
Kari padded beside Kuni.
"What are we doing?" she growled. "We're loners, Kuni! Loners!"
Kuni looked at her they walked. "were doing what's right by helping two wolves that otherwise wouldn't nessesairly make it, and you mentioned it yourself: a pack. They have to start somewhere, right?" he smiled slightly, trying to lighten her mood.
Kari shook her head.
"We're weighing ourselves down taking care of two pups." she said, her voice low enough so the two couldn't hear her. "Yes, we can train them- but look how young they are. Are you sure you know what we are both taking on...?"
"We could leave them to die." Kuni pointed out in mock helpfulness.
Kari turned and snarled, biting at his ear and shoving him.
"This is serious! We can't get weighed down with all these uprights and other packs around!" she snarled. She had her ears flat on her head and her fangs showed at his face threateningly.
Kuni fought to keep himself calm. If you can thing of a better solution, feel free to share. he wanted to snarl, but instead he remained calm. "Shenzi once said to me: What's easy is always what's right, and what's right isn't always easy. I'd say that applies to our situation pretty well."
Kari stepped back one pawstep but still glared at him. She averted her eyes after a moment and stared at the ground.
"Fine," she growled. Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same... she thought blankly. She turned once more to look him straight in the eyes.
"I never said I wanted to leave them here," she said sharply. "I'm concidering our own survival. Out here by ourselves the rules are different. It's not 'all for one and one for all' here. It's 'one for one or die'. I'd keep those two as my own if I could, but we have to remember our own survival first."
"Fine. Then you get to tell them to get lost. Enjoy yourself." he snarled, his patience stretched the breaking point. He turn away, walking the other way. Sekhmet paused, looking between Kari and Kuni with narrowed eyes.
Kari laid her ears flat on her head and leapt after him.
"No you don't!" she barked. She jumped in front of him and glared into his eyes.
"Yeah, you think you can just walk out right when things get tough? The moment we have a disagreement? Hah!" she raised her hackles and looked defiant.
"If you are willing to walk out on me this easy then you're not worth it. The male is the supporter and provider--why am I the only one who is willing to try and make this work?" she looked firmly at him, demanding an answer.
"I just-" Kuni barked through gritted teeth. "need a few minutes to think. Alone. Is that too much to ask?" He side-stepped around her, not looking at her. Her words had hit him hard: he hadn't been thinking for one second of acctually leaving, just stepping a few feet away to calm himself. Had he done something wrong, something to make her doubt him in the long run? He felt as if he didn't get away, he would explode. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself.
Kari scowled.
"I told you it's not all fun and games out here!!" she yelled after him. "If you're gonna survive we have to go alone or together without pouting over everything! THIS IS SERIOUS!" she bellowed, standing defiantly.
"There are lives at stake, Kari, actual pup lives depending on us raising them. Just so I know, do you even care about them at all?" Kuni snarled, wheeling around, pushed to the breaking point.
(Sherlock quote! I had to get that in there! Kuni would be John Watson, speaking to Sherlock. Sherlocks response: Will caring about them help save them? John just walks out. From The Great Game, I think. Good episode.)
(LOL, you are hilarious! XD)
Kari stepped up to his face, her features eerily calm.
"I already told you, and I'm telling you only once more, Kuni." she said his name fiercely.
"If I could I would take them as my own and raise them. It's in my instinct as a female. But it's not up to me- it's up to survival. We have to survive out here and if we undertake caring for two pups then we risk being seen by uprights and slow getaways also. If we decide to take care of them we can teach them the ways of a pack and they may become members of our FireSpirit pack." she looked into his eyes and then spoke clearly and firmly with emphasis. "But that also increases our chances of being killed and them being killed as well." she cocked her head slightly. "What will you decide, Kuni?" she stepped beside him and rubbed against him but this time chills didn't ripple down her back. Happiness didn't flood her. Instead she felt only a flight instinct. Fear engulfed her and she looked at Kuni..
Kuni stepped away from her touch, his expression still angry. "You can go on a whole shpeal(basically means tirade, generally a Philly expression) about how we couldnt possibly take them in and how horriable I am, and all of the sudden its all up to me and everything is okay between us. You know my decision already. I dont care if I die because of it." His expression was rocky, his voice filled with vehemence.
Kari nodded, her eyes still fearfull.
"Fine," she whispered. And she turned back to the pups and started walking.
Kuni walked, somewhat along side Kari but a few feet away, not looking at her. Sekhmet glance between them with utter annoyance.
Katara skulked low beside the ground. Her young pup-mind didn't understand what the conversation was about, but it did understand the conflict.
Kari flinched as Kuni came up near to her and shied away a little.
"Come on," she muttered. "We're going to hu-hunt." she stuttered a little, fear still coursing through her. Her eyes were slightly dialated.
Kuni rolled his eyes. "Kari. Cool it." He barked sternly. "No ones going to leap out of the woods and try to kill you." He looked her in the eyes, his expression stoney. Sekhmet cocked her head slightly. Why was the older wolf so nervous? She yawned, bored.
Kari looked away from him and subtly tucked her tail in a little. She guided the pup towards the hunting grounds she knew by scent were near. Away from the pack. Away from everything she remembered. Nothing would ever be the same. She knew this. Nothing would ever be the same- so the quicker she realized that fully, the better. She raised her head and shoved back the choking fear. She breathed in deeply and then started to jog forward at a swift pace, picking up Katara in her jaws and gesturing at Kuni for him to do the same.
Kuni bent down to pick up Sekhmet, but the young pup retaliated, snapping at Kuni's muzzle and growling in defence, her teeth bared. "Dont. Even. Think. About. It." She snarled harshly. Kuni nodded understandly, but figured Kari would have issues with the idea.
Kari turned slightly and was glad the pup was in her jaws to hide her smile of amusement. She growled at Sekhmet and set down Katara. She stood over Sekhmet with a glare. Her tail was high in the air.
"You will submit to us if you want us to care for you. We're the alphas." she growled. She wasn't being mean--only commanding.
"Because I asked for pup-sitters?" Sekhmet growled, her eyes narrowed and ears back.
Kuni nudged Kari. "She can walk. If your that concerned about us being safe, it would be best for us to keep moving." he whispered, a slight hint of a smile.
Kari nodded at him but wasn't finished with this rebelious pup.
"You are so young you barely know how to scent mark! If you wish to stay alive, you will follow what we command. We can move faster and avoid dangers you didn't even know existed if you are carried." she barked sharply.
"Scent marking. Funny, I didnt realize that roaming loners needed to mark out their territory." Sekhmet barked, her voice dripping in sarcasm. "And thanks for the offer, but Ill risk walking and falling down a hole, thanks." she barked, turning away.
Kari snarled, cuffing the pup over the head and sending her sprawling to one side.
"If loners start a pack, which we will be doing, they have to mark their territory, fool!" she spat, any patiance she had completely gone by now. "If you think you can survive on your own then stay here. I give you one final offer to stay with us and be sheltered." she stayed standing, tail raised waiting for her response.
Sekhmet was on her feet immeadiatly, not fazed at all.
Kuni shouldered his way between the two shewolves. "Stop it. Both of you. Kari, she doesnt have to be carried. Sekhmet, respect your elder. Settled? Good. Lets go."
Kari turned sharply.
"Fine, Sekhemet. If you have decided, then that is your path. Don't expect us to wait for you or hunt for you unless you decide to accept that I am alpha." she growled. She turned and picked up Katara and then broke into a run.
Kuni nodded, and Sekhmet took off at a gallop. Kuni followed, expecting nothing more than a gentle run or fast jog to keep up with the pup, but was soon left left in the dust. Sekhmet barreled through the forest, actually gaining on Kari. Kuni smiled grinning, but the pups face still held the one emotion that seemed to dominate it: boredrom.
Kari felt the most intense feeling of irritation she had ever felt overwhelm her and she snarled into Katara's fur.
(So how old are they, if they were with their mother, but she can gain on Kari? XD)
(Shes unnatuarally fast...for a short sprint. Youll see just how special Sekhmet is soon, once I get the chance. idk how old they are, like almost apprentice age?)
Sekhmet ran, her feet seeimg to barely touch the ground, her expression bored, until she stepped into a small hole in the ground. A momentary look of suprise crossed her face before she tumbles head over heals in the dirt.
Kuni stopped beside her. "Are you okay?"
Sekhmet growled. "Of course Im okay! I dont have a heart attack everytime you stumble."
Kari dropped Katara on the ground and turned sharply with a snarl and cuffed Sekhmet again, much harder this time.
"Never address your alpha like that!" she barked. "I've had enough of your pup-behavior! Straighten up unless you think you can fight me!" she growled, showing her fangs and pinning her ears against her head. How dare this scrap of prey address her mate like that!?
"Kari. She's been in our 'pack' for an hour. Cut her some slack." Kuni barked sternly, tired of his mate losing her temper so easily. It was like she had spent too much time under the influence of Karuso, and was unable to remember the way her parents had ruled: not by fear, by friendship and respect. He looked down at Sekhmet, noting the young pups expression. She didn't appear scared, but Kuni figured she must be slightly. She held her paw just off the ground, in pain but not showing it in the slightest.
Kari sighed, shutting her eyes and hanging her head slightly as she stepped back a pawstep.
"You're right, Kuni. You often are." she said, forcing another smile.
"I'm sorry, Sekhmet--but you really do have to shape up a little if we're going to make this work. I'll hold off some if you help me out, okay?" she said softer this time, looking Sekhmet in the eyes. Katara hovered slightly away from them, wishing she was old enough to help out in some way.
(Katara is supposed to be like a mimick of Kasha, my epic character [you can find her profile in Fallspack. oh funny! I went on your profile to find the pack {Fallspack, which I thought was Fallpack} and saw Falcon pack b4 I saw Fallspack and thought that was it, so I brought it up, and saw that I joined Falcon pack and the alpha there is Sekhmet. lol! Small world. XD Anyway, Kasha's profile is on Fallspack and so is her pic. wait. Whoa whoa whoa, nope--omg, how funny! Okay, NO FALLSPACK IS NOT WHERE KASHA IS I AM CONFUSED AGAIN! BUT!!!! KATARAH is onn Fallspack! Omg, this is so funny!! Okay, LET ME FIND KASHA'S PROFILE!! What pack has Blitz, Kasha and Spade the alpha??? THAT'S Where she is. Wow...iiit's a small world aaafter all, iiit's a small world aaafter all...)
Kuni looked between the two she wolves. Sekhmet paused for a moment, her expression stotic. " Fine." She barked boredly, turning away.
Kari nodded, glancing at Kuni.
"Now lets get moving." she barked, trotting quickly in a northwest direction.
"Now--you pups ever had a hunting lesson?" she asked.
"No. But I've caught rabbits before." Sekhmet barked boredly, rolling her eyes.
(Kari suddenly turned once more, her forced good mood and promise to act nicer forgotten. She clobbered Sekhmet over the skull and bellowed in her face, "SHOW SOME INTREST, DANG IT!!!" loool she's got such a hilarious bored attitude! XD)
Kari kept her voice calm.
"Well then you can go ahead and hunt for yourself. Over there." she said, motioning futher away. "Katara, Kuni and I are hunting over here."

Sekhmet turned and trotted away without a word or glance back, her dark fur disappearing into the undergrowth.
Kuni watched the young wolf leave, wondering if she would even choose to come back.
