Story So Far (SSF):

When complications hit Mistypack, Saharah (the alpha) decided to take instant action against the invading uprights, shortage of food and overall bad territory. They then put some distance between that territory (around 200 miles worth) even with the new pups of the alphas and betas. Long story short, an enemy wolf was recruited, then turned against them and became alpha by force. Terror and bad times followed his reign and a battle is currently raging.

Kuni and Kari's story can be followed at the Fresh Kill link below the chat box on the right sidebar.

An uprising started by Sako surged through the pack and they revolted against the guards. The battle is raging and wolves from both sides are falling. Who will triumph? Add your attacks to the battle by commenting in the newest post!

WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW JOIN FORMS AS THE PACK IS INACTIVE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Kari smiled slightly and shook her head. She turned.
"Kuni, team hunt, kay?" she grinned, feeling excitment rise. She turned her head to Katarah. "Stay here and watch for now," she said. "You'll learn a lot by watching--trust me." she could already see a cow elk grazing many wolf-lengths away.
She waited for Kuni to respond.

Kiokami said...

Kuni nodded, his eyes fixed on the elk. "Shall we?" He asked, already slinking foreward, his paw steps light.

Zoraz/Saharah/Owner said...

Kari felt a thrill flow through her and she crept slowly forward. When she was about ten wolf-lengths from the cow she nodded to Kuni and slunk around behind it then leapt forward with a snarl.

Kiokami said...

Kuni lept foreward, intersepting the cow as it tried to run and grabbing its neck with his strong jaws. With his weight, he lowered its head to the ground.

Zoraz said...

Kari grinned and narrowed his eyes and bounded several paces forward and then as the cow struggled against Kuni she took advantage of the slower speed and leapt onto the elk's back, biting into the neck with full force, jerking her head from side to side.

Kiokami said...

Kuni stepped away, feeling the life leave the elk. "Nice catch." he barked to Kari, turning to Katara to see her reaction.

Zoraz said...

Katara grinned widely and looked impressed.
"Wow! That was amazing! Will you teach me how to stalk like that?" she yipped, bounding over to them.
Kari smiled at Kuni.
"Of course! You're going to be a member of our pack. The Firespirits!"

Kiokami said...

Kuni looked at Kari, eyebrows raised, unaware that The Firespirits had officially been created, but he decided to go with it. "Youll be hunting in no time." Kuni agreed.

Zoraz said...

Kari laughed.
"Now come on, I'm starving! Where did your sister get too..." she muttered.

Kari laughed.
"Now come on, I'm starving! Where did your sister get too..." she muttered.

Kiokami said...

Kuni raised his head, looking around. He walked in the direction the young wolf had gone, scenting. "I cant pick up anything..." he murmered.

Zoraz said...

Kari glanced at him in concern.
"I can smell her perfectly." she said in a murmered. (!??!?! <<<<)

Kiokami said...

Kuni looked up, his amber eyes shining with annoyance. "From when she was walking with us. Theres no scent of her on the wind, shes obviously moved pretty far away."

Zoraz said...

Kari glared back at him.
"Well excuse me!" she growled, making it clear he'd crossed a line. "Nobody said it would be easy out here, Kuni! If you're gonna be snappy about everything then I'll be better off alone!"

Kiokami said...

Kuni took a deep breath. "The issue is," he barked, trying to stay calm and patient. "Its almost nightfall, so we need to find her, but that wont be easy considering we have to guard the elk. So we may need to split up."

Zoraz said...

Kari shrugged.
"Simple." she said smoothly. She turned, following the basic path the young wolf had taken.
"You and Katara stay and eat, I'll search for her, then I'll be back." she barked. She could feel a light rain falling from the sky and a new thought occured to her. Where were they going to find shelter?

Kiokami said...

Kuni raised his eyebrows. "So not long ago you were walking everywhere looking over your shoulder, and now your willing to go searching by yourself for a pup in the dark?" he barked smoothly. "Fine by me, Im starving."

Zoraz said...

Kari turned, glaring at Kuni.
"I thought males were the protecters. I thought you were different Kuni. More loyal, less judging. You're constantly saying something about me in a bad way. I don't have to take this!" she snarled and him and stalked over, baring her teeth as she ate quickly. Katara did the same, eating quickly. She knew she had better hurry befoer something happened. Kari ripped a large peice of meat from the elk and tossed it beside standing over it and snarling at him to keep his distance.
"I'm through with this, Kuni."

Kiokami said...

Kuni didn't speak at first, just sat there, his expression distant. When he did speak, his voice was filled with pain, not angry or remorseful in any way, just broken. " We've changed. Your not the wolf I gave up my pack for. You not the wolf that stood beside me, defending Reamo. And I know I'm not the same either. I don't like these two new wolves, Kari. I don't like what we've let ourselves become." He didn't move, didn't take his eyes off of the distant horizon.

(Kari seems to get ticked off pretty easily. Reminds me of myself, lol.)
(I'm biding my time, waiting for the most awkward moment possible to bring back Sekhmet. She is so fun to rp!)

Zoraz said...

(You gotta love Mistypack drama.)
"I know we're different! I told you. The forest changes you! You become...different. We can't survive if we're constantly fighting. You're not bothering to stand up for me anymore--to protect me or be the leader of anything. I thought that's what you were like. I still love you--but if this is what you're like, we can't do this. We can't survive if this is how it is..." she turned her head away, staring at the trees. The rain clouds darkening seemed to match their story. Fine and blue skies as everything was fine, then continually darkening as they changed to fit the harsh demands of the new forest they were surviving in.

Kiokami said...

"Then what do you think we should do? Go our deprecate ways?" Kuni asked, his voice still low and melencholy, eyes fixed almost unblinkingly on the horizon. He looked like a pup who, on his first exploration outside of the nursery, had been scolded for getting underfoot: broken.

Zoraz said...

Kari shrugged.
"I'm going on. Towards the western mountains. See new things--meet other wolves. Survive. I'd like to think you would follow me to the end of the earth, but if we can't make this work we may as well seperate ourselves and make it easier." she said. She jerked off more of the meat and placed it on the other pile.

Kiokami said...

Kuni flicked his ears, anger flooding into him, filling where there had been sad emptiness before. "Oh, and IM the one that gives up? Im the one that cant handle it? Id like to think I gave up my life for something, Kari. That the wolf that was my best friend from practically the day I was born is more loyal than that." He turned away, tail lashing. "Fine then. Go your way. Im going to go back to Mistypack, and Im going to take care of Munuh and my brother and most certainly Karuso for ruining my, and every other Mistypack wolf's, life!"

Zoraz said...

Kari didn't look at him.
Why can't he see?? she thought desperatly. She felt the tears welling up and blinked furiously. She didn't trust her voice so she said nothing.
"So. Forget the Fire....t-the firespirits..." she whispered, her voice cracking. She could feel Katara watching her and she stepped a few pawsteps away, her head low.

Kiokami said...

His expressioned hardened, and he turned away, refusing to look at her. "Your the one who seems to want to give it up, not me, so its your call." he responded harshly, letting his anger get the better of him.

Zoraz said...

Kari blinked several times and inhaled deeply before standing and walking back over.
"Fine. If that's how shallow your loyalty is, you can go with that young fool, Sekhmet then, Kuni!" she barked. She grabbed one more slab of the meat and then grasped as much as she could in her jaws and broke into a trot. Katara ran to keep up with her, glancing back to see the one other wolf and then coninuing with Kari.

" Do you think I want you to leave? That Im not loyal to you? Kari, in case you missing it, I DON'T want you to leave! I gave up everything for you, and Id do it again in a second! I love you Kari, your the only one who thinks that this isn't working out!" Kuni shouted after his voice raw and weak. A lone tear slipped down his cheek.

Zoraz said...

Kari turned sharply.
"Then come with me, Kuni!" she called. She paused, waiting for his reaction. "I want this to work as much as you do, or at least as much as I think you do--but we can't make this work if we're fighting!"

Kiokami said...

"We'll I don't want to fight." He barked quietly, unsure of what else to say. He had begun to think of trying to reason with Kari was like trying to cross a giant chasm by walking over a thin branch- watching every paw step, knowing that any miss-step would send you plummeting into the raging water below. "I love you Kari, and I wouldn't do anything to split us apart."

Zoraz said...

(lol I like that mental image. XD)

Kari nodded slowly.
"Neither do I, Kuni.." she murmured. She turned.
"Come on, we have to get moving. Those rain clouds are going to open up soon, my fur feels like it's all standing on end."

Kiokami said...

"You go. To the den by the river. I'll find Sekhmet." He barked, already turning away.
